A Columbia University protest leader was caught in a cycle of contradictions when reporters questioned the logic behind the protestors’ demands for food and water after they had unlawfully taken over Hamilton Hall. The protest escalated dramatically overnight, with the group smashing windows and forcefully entering the building. The Hamas supporters fortified their position by barricading doors and covering windows, effectively taking control of the academic building. The occupation began around half past midnight following a standoff on the university’s academic lawn, where protesters had set up roughly 120 tents.

Parents, liberal, progressive, or not, have to have concerns about sending their brood to these Ivy/league schools, costing big, big bucks. I hope that all this leftist-born chaos in these major colleges across the country, has opened their eyes. These institutions are worthless. I, for one, am glad neither of my two sons went to college. They learned a valuable trade that assures they will be in demand always.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg did not say Wednesday whether he would prosecute protestors who broke into and occupied Hamilton Hall at Columbia University. Bragg, who is currently prosecuting the case against former President Donald Trump, did not respond to multiple requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation asking whether pro-Palestinian protestors arrested on Tuesday would be charged. The New York Police Department (NYPD) arrested 119 protestors at Columbia on Tuesday night, along with 173 protestors at the separate City University of New York (CUNY) protest, where students occupied an administration building.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) sounds the alarm that the roughly 300 pro-Hamas protestors arrested by NYPD Tuesday night at Columbia University and City College of New York may not be students— but rather part of radical terrorist organizations. Adams said that when he became aware that the majority of the pro-terrorism protestors weren’t students but professional agitators, he promised to fight for the American “way of life” as the demonstrators continued to harass Jewish communities. “Once I became aware of the outside agitators who were part of this operation, as Columbia mentioned in their letter

New York— Even as many Americans say they learn about the 2024 election campaign from national news outlets, a disquieting poll reveals some serious trust issues. About half of Americans, 53%, say they are extremely or very concerned that news organizations will report inaccuracies or misinformation during the election. Some 42% express worry that news outlets will use generative artificial intelligence to create stories, according to a poll from the American Press Institute and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. The poll found 47% of Americans also expressing serious concern that news outlets would report information that has not been confirmed or verified, and 44% worry that accurate information

Well done! The $20-an-hour wage floor foisted on California’s fast-food restaurants, dubbed with the innocent-sounding moniker Assembly Bill 257, was signed into law last fall. It didn’t take long to become a disaster. Hoover Institution senior fellow and economist Lee Ohanian showed just how quickly bad policies can wreck an economy.
