A fair wage advocacy group is demanding that California’s new $20 minimum wage law for fast food workers be extended to all sectors to help working-class people who are struggling with the state’s high cost of living. (Snip) Fast food workers winning a $20 minimum wage, she said, “was just the beginning.” Jayaraman pointed to the exorbitantly high cost of living in the Golden State where, in some counties, an individual would need a $40 an hour salary to live comfortably. “People are leaving the state or are not having children, not having families. These are all the very basics

Comments:

This should surprise no one. Now $40/Hour sounds ''fair''.

You should provide a good or service commensurate with your pay. That is the market price. I never hear about the responsibilities of the minimum wage worker, only their need, which is the basis of communism.

Truly stupid people. They are incapable of understanding that minimum wage rises, prices and costs rise, and the minimum wage workers are right back where they started. It's a self-feeding cycle. In reality, there should not be any so-called minimum wage and wages, prices, and costs will settle in to a realistic base.

On Saturday, Iran initiated a barrage of drones and ballistic missiles at Israel. Thankfully, most of them were successfully intercepted, causing minimal damage. Of course, in a stunning move, President Biden is pushing Israel not to retaliate. It's hard to imagine why Biden would do that, except when you consider that Joe Biden has been appeasing Iran since his days as Barack Obama vice president. With that in mind, it's also not surprising—though it's still shocking— that Joe Biden not only had prior knowledge of Iran's assault on Israel but also technically gave it the green light under certain conditions, according to a report from the Jerusalem Post.
