Not in Cher´s neighborhood

The singer Cher (no last name) promised to leave this country, even this planet, if Donald J. Trump (R) became President of the United States. Well, Trump is president and Cher is still living in this country. And yes, Los Angeles, California and its wealthy liberal suburbs of Beverly Hills and Malibu, where Cher lives in huuuuuge homes (she owns several here and there) surrounded by gates and walls and doormen and guards, utilizing the hi tech security that is part of the USA. What, you expected a lefty liberal to keep a promise of sacrifice? But President Trump

It was never in the plan for the rich to sully themselves by living around welfare recipient illegals from Honduras. They thought they could just pay condescending lip service to the rest of us and we would immediately be ashamed of ourselves. I cannot even express how little I care about the opinions of these deplorable morons. Yes, I used that word.

I like the idea of her leaving the country (as she promised) and then opening up her numerous homes to all the ones she claims to care about (such as illegal aliens).

If she and the other celebrities who promised to leave the country all did this, imagine how many homeless could be housed.

Wonder what the total occupancy capacity would be if that were to happen....

Remember her deceased husband, Sonny Bono, said that when she saw Mt. Rushmore, she wanted to know how "nature" knew who was going to be president! She thought Rushmore was a product of Mother Nature!

Just goes to show, money and fame can´t buy intelligence!

While I don´t give a bucket of warm spit what Cher thinks, I find her hypocrisy amusing . . . and illuminating.

Now we need to do the same thing to those who push socialism while they themselves have millions in investements and in the bank (some of whom are wealthy from "selling" things--one can only assume--in a capitalist system).

BUT...SF is not exceptional. What community in the US has spare cash to care for this influx?

What she said is clear enough but how she would deal with the problem isn´t.

We can safely bet that Cher won´t advocate building massive facilities to care for illegal immigrants in Beverly Hills or Malibu. Yet those two cities each actually have many public acres that could house a million people.

In fact the largest and/or luxurious private estates wouldn´t have to give up one square foot of land anywhere in California. It just isn´t that empty.

Immigrants have a human right to food, shelter, medical care, education, etc.*

Just raise the gasoline tax again to fund more Paradise. CA gasoline only costs about 150% more than in most states.

*Consult UN literature for the complete list.

LIMA, Peru — A former president of Peru died on Wednesday after shooting himself in the head when the authorities tried to arrest him in connection with one of the biggest corruption scandals in Latin American history. When the authorities arrived at the home of the former president, Alan García, with an arrest warrant, he locked himself into his bedroom, shot himself and was rushed to a hospital, his personal secretary told reporters. The charges relate to Odebrecht, a Brazilian construction giant, which last year admitted to $800 million in payoffs in exchange for lucrative contracts for projects including

Colombia and Honduras -- Cocaine trafficking from Venezuela to the United States is soaring, even as the country collapses. And US and other regional officials say it´s Venezuela´s own military and political elite who are facilitating the passage of drugs in and out of the country on hundreds of tiny, unmarked planes. A months-long CNN investigation traced the northward route of cocaine from the farmlands where much of it is grown in Colombia, and found that the number of suspected drug flights from Venezuela has risen from about two flights per week in 2017

President Trump´s trial balloon of sending migrants surging across our border to sanctuary cities has been derided by Democrats as ´cynicism and cruelty´ as well as ´a new low´ by Trump, but it has a precedent: President Obama. Back in 2014, when the migrant surge of that year brought tens of thousands of "unaccompanied children" and "moms and kids," into the Rio Grande Valley, overwhelming the Texas processing facilities, President Obama inexplicably targeted small- and mid-sized cities (same as the Trump officials´ emails) as their next destination of choice
