Wife accuses former Republican
senator of bank fraud

Washington Examiner, by Daniel Jativa

Original Article

Posted By:MissMolly, 4/14/2019 5:29:48 AM

The wife of former New York Republican Sen. Alfonse D´Amato said she has gone to federal authorities, alleging that her husband committed bank fraud and that he forged her signature on checks from a secret bank account for millions of dollars spanning seven years. Katuria D’Amato, who has been in several rounds of legal battles with her husband over the last few weeks, said in an interview with Law&Crime that she found out about the account when the U.K.-based bank HSBC sent a letter to her home about the account opened in her name.

How did he get the millions.
Strange that the word republican is in the title while malfeasant by democrats would be in paragraph 8

He withdrew 40 million over 7 years from an account issued in her name! Wow! These people live big! I find this amazing she found out after receiving a letter in the mail. I receive a bank statement monthly. Maybe foreign counties don´t send bank statements?

You can request of the bank that no mails be sent. Wonder why d´Amato didn´t do so. Easy to see where the money came from. Lots of opportunities on Long Island. In fact, one of the reasons d´Amato was defeated by Schumer was due to charges of graft regarding a North Hempstead plant (I forget what kind of plant). D´Amato should have stuck with wife #1.

It´s time to accept the fact that Republicans are just as bad as Democrats, the party means nothing. New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois and California have one thing in common, you don´t reach a position like this by being honest. I could provide a detailed list of names but you get the point.

Very disappointing news. I have friends who knew him well, considered him as a regular guy in thew neighborhood, no airs, did his own shopping; they voted for him and they´re union democrats - go figure. After more thought, their assessment was from the late 90´s, must call for an update- didn´t know of a 2nd wife.

There are some questions she will have to answer.
First, did she approve of opening the account?
Second, where did the money come from?
Third, did she file a joint income tax return with Al?
Fourth, did she ever allow him to sign her name to anything?
(there are certain spousal privileges that might come into play here.)

This could get "complicated" for the former senator. Foreign bank accounts have to be reported on tax returns, as do the earnings from those accounts. Questions could arise as to how the senator came to have $40M, probably all inadvertent.

My guess, wife was a willing ally and accomplice in whatever was going on until the divorce. Corrupt people doing corrupt things. Imagine that. Yet we keep voting them in to office, but it doesn´t help we have no real alternatives. Both parties are equally bad. At least D´Amato was eventually voted out.

Good old Alphonse was a placeholder - no real ideas, no real ideals, nothing to assure people who voted for him that he was working in their best interests. Hedge Funds and higher ranked government jobs are money makers. In the 60´s it was chemicals and exploiting the pollution thereof, in the 70´s it was oil and the exploiting of leases, in the 80´s it was savings and loans and the graft paid to local and state officials, in the 90´s it was government funded points of light - special interest donations, in the 00´s it was war. Always a way to make money when you work for the government.

There´s a much better chance the crooked Republican will get caught. The crooked Democrat will just get more graft, bribes, "sweetheart deals" and corrputed.

You know what is sad about all of this? People who read the Bible and REALLY understand it, know what is going on in society. The farther we get away from God, the farther we get away from the teachings of the Bible, and from that we get farther and farther away from "the Way, the Truth, and the Life".

For both of these individuals, the truth could slap them in the face and they still wouldn´t know it.

I´d take anything ANY unhappy wife says with a large shaker full of salt.

BUT, they often do know "where the bodies are buried", so it certainly should be looked into.

I would be SHOCKED if a Senator was found to be corrupt!

It was Christmas again this week and all the Democrats got in their stockings were two or three lumps of coal. Or maybe it wasn’t Christmas, but Groundhog Day. The earlier summary of Robert Mueller’s findings was only a summary, after all, and everyone knew the actual report had all the good stuff. Mr. Mueller wouldn’t let us down. Ah, but he did. Great expectations dashed again. The Democrats, but for the dwindling number of grown-ups in the party of Jefferson, Jackson, Harry S. Truman and FDR, were so sure that Mr. Mueller would deliver the goods

Is that all there is? That song was a huge hit for Peggy Lee in 1969, and I couldn’t get it out of my head Thursday as I was reading the Mueller report. “Is that all there is? Is that all there is? If that’s all there is my friends, then let’s keep dancing.” No collusion, no collusion, no collusion. The report just confirmed what crooked FBI agent Peter Strzok told his paramour two years ago, that when it comes to the Russian collusion delusion, there is no big there there. The Mueller report doesn’t just speak for itself,

They wanted it, and they got it. Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election has been released, and it confirms — yet again — what everyone except liberal conspiracy theorists already knew: President Trump’s campaign and Russia didn’t collude. Good news: We still elect our presidents! Yes, Trump once taunted Russians to find Hillary Clinton’s missing e-mails. Yes, Trump’s inner circle took a meeting with a Kremlin-linked lawyer. And yes, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and others have been charged with crimes. These things look bad and, to varying degrees, they are.

At just 37, Pete Buttigieg doesn´t have much of a record to run on. He´s never held a federal office or won a statewide election, nor is it likely that he could in a conservative state like Indiana. Yet outside of his inspirational rhetoric, there´s one thing Buttigieg is proud of: his record as mayor of South Bend. Yet, for a presidential candidate who touted how he "cut the unemployment in half" and helped revitalize a Midwestern city, not all residents are feeling the results of the city´s supposed revitalization. In January, Buttigieg told an NPR host that his administration

Christopher Steele declined to meet with the Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General, which is reportedly poised to cast doubt on the veracity of some of the former British spy’s infamous anti-Trump dossier. Steele declined the inspector general’s request on the grounds that it would be improper for him to take part “in an internal Justice Department investigation as a foreign national and former British intelligence agent,” Politico reported Wednesday. The explanation is somewhat ironic given that Steele, a former MI6 officer, provided his anti-Trump research to the FBI as well as to Bruce Ohr, a Justice Department official.

Thursday morning, the Justice Department will release the 400-page report outlining how special counsel Robert Mueller squandered $34 million to conclude that an implausible conspiracy theory was unsupported by objective evidence. The frenzied anticipation around special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report has overshadowed another Justice Department report on the Russia probe that could land as soon as next month, and which will likely take direct aim at the former British spy behind an infamous “dossier” on President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia. For the past year, the Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, has been examining the FBI’s efforts to surveil a one-time Trump campaign adviser based in part on information from Christopher Steele, a former British MI6 agent who had worked with the bureau as a confidential source since 2010.

The anti-Trump Republican movement, whatever remains of it, has been defined more by its articulation of first principles than its appreciation of winner-take-all politics. But politics is fundamentally about compromise, and the movement has been hamstrung by its inability to work with either the Trump administration or the Democratic opposition. Short of working within the administration to influence the president’s agenda, the clearest option for anti-Trump Republicans would be to ensure that there’s at least one mainstream nominee running on the 2020 presidential ballot

At the rate she is lagging in the race among the posse of panderers running for the Democrat nomination for president, she will need all the support she can get, beginning in her home state. So, maybe she should consider also opening headquarters in Worcester, Springfield, Lowell and New Bedford. Former Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake will not back President Donald Trump’s re-election and will likely support the Democratic nominee, he said in an appearance on CBS This Morning Wednesday. The frequent critic of Trump is a regular on the network morning show, hosting a segment called “Flake’s Take.” The discussion began with the announcement that Republican Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld would challenge President Trump in 2020 for the GOP nomination, about which Flake remarked “I hope he’s not the last Republican to enter the field.” When asked if he was going to support President Trump in 2020, Flake was

A frank discussion turned nasty at an Ohio gas station where a quartet allegedly accused of stealing hot dogs went on a rampage. Four women were caught on video attacking a man with everything they could get their hands on when he stepped in to stop them from beating up another female customer, according to Cam Dancy, who posted the video on YouTube and spoke to Cleveland’s 19 News. “I know the video makes it look like he was trying to fight them, but they were actually jumping him,” Dancy said. “They were throwing trash cans and the windshield

(Video) The Dallas Morning News reported that Maura Nakahata, a senior majoring in chemistry with a minor in government, asked O’Rourke why if he made seven times what her sister made, she gave more money to charity than O’Rourke. As Jenna Johnson of The Washington Post reported, O’Rourke responded loftily: I’ve served in office since
