After Rapid Rise, Michael
Avenatti Sees Inevitable Fall

Creators Syndicate, by Debra J. Saunders

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 4/14/2019 4:59:04 AM

Washington Last week, federal prosecutors released a 61-page indictment against attorney Michael Avenatti, who allegedly bilked his own clients to bankroll his lavish lifestyle. Last month, federal prosecutors in New York charged him with trying to extort millions from Nike. Avenatti says he is not guilty, and he is entitled to a presumption of innocence on criminal charges. Still, his rise and fall presents an apt moment to ask how such a feral figure was so quickly elevated in the public eye, before what seems to be an inevitable fall. It’s not a long story.

To the average person, a flashy lawyer looks like a very powerful figure. Sometimes just a letter from one of them scares people to death. A guy in an expensive suit and driving a Ferrari no doubt swindled hundreds of people. Avenatti just chose the wrong targets.

What’s truly stunning is that Creepy Porn Lawyer is little different than the 20 Democrats running for President who want to make our lives worse. And his money grubbing and lying are the two traits of the Dems 2016 presidential candidate. Only difference is that Avenatti has been indicted while Hillary is on tour with Bill..

This Clown basically did everything for himself and to Hades with everyone else, especially his clients...may he rot in Prison...Avenatti, hope you like your new cell mate Bubba! He LOVES New cell mates, and when he means LOVE, he really wants to ... take you into his hands!

The reason Avenatti´s fall from grace is so satisfying is because he´s so freaking arrogant. I await Hillary, Brennan, Clapper, Rice, Strzok, Page, Comey to experience the same comeuppance if for no other reason than that it will damage their outsized egos. Jail time would be gravy.

For approximately 3 million people, nothing in the Mueller report could exonerate President Trump of “Russian collusion,” obstruction of justice, and various other high crimes and misdemeanors of which they are certain he is guilty. For those 3 million people (a number reflecting the combined average weekday primetime audience of CNN and MSNBC) Trump’s guilt is an indisputable fact, his presidency an ongoing crime against humanity, his 2016 election a fraud. In a nation of 325 million people, of course, 3 million is less than a single percentage point. However, that hard-core audience of obsessive

Camille Paglia is an outspoken critic of modern feminism and some of the far-left trends that have taken hold on many college campuses of late so it’s probably not surprising that she would eventually become the target of student activists caught up in those same trends. A group of students at University of the Arts, where Paglia has been on the faculty since the 1980s, launched a protest aimed at getting her fired or, if that wasn’t possible, de-platforming her. From the Philly Inquirer:“I had a concern that she would be able to speak,

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper on Thursday said that there was “passive collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia despite Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s findings that conclude there was no conspiracy. Clapper began by defending the foundation of the Russia probe, telling CNN anchor Anderson Cooper that there was “good reason” for intelligence agencies and law enforcement “to be concerned about whether or not there was some kind of conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians.”

The most remarkable thing about special counsel Robert Mueller’s 448-page report is how blithely the prosecutor reversed the burden of proof on the issue of obstruction. To be sure, President Trump’s conduct outlined on this score isn’t flattering, to put it mildly. For example, the special counsel’s evidence includes indications that the president attempted to induce White House Counsel Don McGahn to fire the special counsel (in June 2017), and then (in January 2018) to deny that the president had made the request. Mueller’s report further suggests that the president dangled pardons.

Washington — Reiterating that special counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence of President Trump´s 2016 campaign colluding with Russia, Attorney General William Barr defended Mr. Trump in a preemptive press conference ahead of the release of Mueller´s report, saying the president faced "an unprecedented situation" throughout the two-year investigation. "As he entered into office, and sought to perform his responsibilities as President, federal agents and prosecutors were scrutinizing his conduct before and after taking office, and the conduct of some of his associates," Barr said at the Thursday morning press conference. Soon, the dust will settle from special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, and Americans will have a fuller understanding of why prosecutors concluded there wasn’t evidence to establish that Donald Trump and Russia colluded to hijack the 2016 election. At that point, many voters exhausted by the fizzling of a two-year scandal, once billed as the next Watergate, will want to move on like a foodie from an empty-calorie shake. But a very important second phase of this drama is about to begin, as Attorney General William Barr, Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz

The release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s redacted report into Russian interference in the 2016 election won’t change the top-line finding of Attorney General William Barr’s four-page summary — namely, that Donald Trump and his campaign didn’t collude or conspire with the Kremlin.

While Christians have long challenged Charles Darwin’s theory of undirected evolution, few appreciate the true extent of the challenge beyond the church. Current estimates are that approximately one-third of professional academic biologists who do not believe in intelligent design find Darwin’s theory is inadequate to describe all of the complexity in biology. Ben Stein documented a crackdown within the academy on criticism of Darwin in his 2008 documentary “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.” While this might explain why the public rarely hears of challenges to Neo-Darwinism, the documentary centered on intelligent design. But the growing discontent in academia is from secular naturalists.
