Texas man brings steer to Petco to test
‘all leashed pets are welcome’ policy

Fox News, by Brie Stimson

Original Article

Don’t have a cow, man - unless it´s at Petco. A man and woman from Texas couldn’t help but laugh as they recently walked their leashed steer into a Houston-area Petco to really see if “all leashed pets are welcome” at the store. To Shelly Lumpkin and Vincent Browning’s surprise, the African Watusi was welcomed “with open arms,” Browning wrote on his Facebook page on Monday. “The staff members here are always super friendly and courteous to us. We really enjoy coming to this location...our favorite Petco BY FAR!!” The post has since earned more than 400,000 views.

Ya know, Id´a never thought of doing that.

I wouldn´t even take my cat in. I just have him make a list of what he wants and leave him to guard the car.

This particular Petco in Humble (my town!), was underwater after Harvey (as was most of Humble´s retail core). Publicity stunt or not, it was certainly great for morale! We´re all laughing about it. There´s a field of long-horns a block or two behind this particular Petco. We´re a funny mix of rural, suburban, and urban all within a few miles.

I did a Bing search on ´Watusi cattle´ (thinking it was just a dance, silly me) and then clicked on "images" and browsed them.

AMAZING! Some of those horns appear to be
10-12" diameter at the base, and a few are 4 or 5 ft tip to tip, maybe more.

I can´t believe how calm that particular animal is, too.

The world´s largest aeroplane by wingspan has taken flight for the first time. Built by Stratolaunch, the company set up by the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 2011, the aircraft is designed to act as a flying launch pad for satellites. The idea is to fly the plane to 10 km (6.2 miles) before releasing satellites into orbit. Its 385 ft (117 m) wingspan is the length of an American football field. If successful, such a project would be a cheaper way to launch objects into space than rockets fired from the ground. The twin-fuselage six-engine jet flew

In 2018, the Federal Trade Commission received more than 21,000 reports about online romance scams, totaling $143 million in losses. As the number of dating sites and social media apps has gone up, so too has the number of romance scams reported — from 17,000 in 2017, 11,000 in 2016, and 8,500 in 2015. Last year, the median loss reported was $2,600, which is seven times higher than the median loss for other forms of fraud tracked by the FTC. Most affected are people over the age of 70, for whom the median loss rose to $10,000.

The death of Vince Foster, a close associate of the Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as Hillary’s law partner in Arkansas, sparked lots of speculation by detractors of the Clintons. Was it really a suicide, as initially supposed, or was there foul play? Ken Starr, the independent counsel appointed to investigate Clinton involvement in Arkansas banking wrongdoing, took on the additional assignment of investigating Foster’s death. Starr’s predecessor in the job, Robert Fiske, had already looked into it. Fiske concluded that Foster did, in fact, commit suicide. He found that Foster

The campaign against Attorney General Bill Barr is in full swing. We are told that he’s a tawdry tool of Donald Trump, that he’s disgracing himself and sullying his reputation, that he’s the equivalent of a Roy Cohn, the sleazy lawyer who once represented Trump back in New York. The criticism of Barr reached a crescendo this week after he used the word “spying” in congressional testimony to refer to the surveillance of Trump campaign officials in 2016. The reaction to his testimony was absurdly over-the-top. Yes, the word “spying” has a negative connotation, but it’s functionally indistinguishable from “surveiling.”
