Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez flips out

New York Post, by Mark Moore

What’s in a name? Everything for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The New York Democrat blasted Fox News host Laura Ingraham and her guest for mocking how she pronounced her name and saying she does so because it’s a “Latina thing.” “If by ‘the Latina thing,’ she means I actually do the work instead of just talk about it, then yeah, I’m doing ‘the Latina thing,’” she wrote on her Twitter page late Wednesday. “Unless of course she‘s talking about being multilingual, which we know isn’t a ‘Latina thing.’ It’s a ‘21st century’ thing.” Ocasio-Cortez also said that Fox News’

She´s full of baloney. If it´s a ´latina´ thing, then Cortez would be her dads last name and Ocasio would be her mothers last name (it would be the last name in a hyphenated name), making her last name Ocasio-Cortez. What a retard.

If her name wasn´t hyphenated, then Ocasio would be the father´s family name and Cortez would be the mother´s family name. The "last name" is what looks like the middle name to us. She would be Alexandria Ocasio in the USA, not Alexandria Cortez. But, her name is hyphenated, so I´m not sure what to call her! Others posters have some great suggestions, though!

He’s getting to write his wrong. A Brooklyn gangbanger got busted with a loaded, stolen revolver in a caught-on-video incident — but a softie judge cut him loose with little more than a homework assignment, The Post has learned. Judge Ellen Edwards rejected a prosecution request to set bail at $25,000 for Ismail Abraham, 18, following his arrest in East New York, law-enforcement sources said on Friday. Instead, Edwards gave Abraham an 8 p.m. curfew and told him to compose a “report on gun violence in the community,” sources said. It was unclear how many pages Abraham has to write,

A former lawyer for the Obama White House will go on trial this summer for allegedly lying about his lobbying work for Ukraine. A federal judge in Washington, DC, set Greg Craig’s trial for Aug. 12. The charges against Craig reportedly stem from Ukraine hiring him and his former law firm in 2012 for work related to then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych’s jailing of a political opponent. The case against Craig grew out of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election. Craig has entered a not guilty plea to the charges.

April 15th, 2019 marks the 107th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. More than a century later, why does this story still captivate so many people’s imaginations? Maybe it’s because, in the words of James Cameron, director of the 1997 Titanic film, “It was like a great novel that really happened.” But as a near-lifelong Titanic aficionado, I have an alternative theory: the sinking of the Titanic was a “lifeboat ethics” scenario involving actual lifeboats. The voluminous report from special counsel Robert Mueller provides a deeply disturbing portrait of a candidate who welcomed the help of a foreign country to get elected and of a president who repeatedly attempted to undermine Mueller’s investigation. Now it is up to Congress and the American people to objectively digest the report and determine the fate of Donald Trump, who in no conceivable way has been exonerated. Over more than 400 plainly written pages released Thursday, the report provides a readable narrative that describes Trump’s eagerness for any help Russia could provide to help him win the 2016 election.
