Ocasio-Cortez Joins De Blasio In
Call To Punish Asian Students

The Federalist, by David Marcus

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 3/20/2019 8:52:51 PM

The battle over the admissions standards at New York City’s elite public high schools has heated up again. After having failed to change the standards last year, Mayor Bill de Blasio is back at it, this time with some backup from celebrity freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. As usual, their impassioned pleas about the lack of black and Hispanic students completely ignores that it is Asian, not white, students who would bear the brunt of the proposed changes. At issue is the fact that these hyper-competitive high schools consider only a test score in deciding admissions

It’s not the white kids who are acing these admissions tests, but the Asians. When the other kids are out fooling around or playing at sports, the Asian kids are in the library, studying, or at special schools paid for by their parents. To them, education is all.

Well, just damn them for being smart and studying hard!

/s off

The degree which we deviate from a true meritocracy will largely define how successful a society we will be.

The Dems and the left want to put forward those with the LEAST merit, and punish all those with the greatest merit.

Societal suicide.

It is therefore a matter of study habits and intentional success. AOC was smashed partying- still can’t believe she has an Economic degree-

Sweetheart, what are you going to do about it? Can you organize a volunteer tutoring program to help the students in your district?
In the 60´s, I took many NYS Regents exams. We had to raise ourselves to the standard. We didn´t complain to have the standards altered.

The first step to solving any problem is to clearly and honestly define what the problem actually is. Liberals are incapable of this. Promoting specific minorities into schools they have not qualified for is a tragedy for the minority and for the qualified person they displaced. The first one will fail and the second cheated.

Asian and Indian Americans need to wake up from their new immigrant euphoria and realize that the democrats are coming for them. They are not the chosen minorities. They will be sacrificed in the name of “equality”. No amount of hard work can make up for admissions preferences based on race.

de Blasio and Cortez "can´t handle the TRUTH" AND need to pander to their minority base. This is the same old liberal insistence on equality of OUTCOME instead of equality of OPPORTUNITY. As with all competitions, when liberals (and their voting base) cannot compete on an equal opportunity basis, the liberals seek to change the rules. Thus we also have the demand for additional SCOTUS justices and for the abolition of the electoral college. They will never stop because their urge for control over us is an overwhelming obsession.

3..2..1 before the usual commie answer comes out: Lower the test taking scores, admission of minorities only (the dumber the better) and before you know it these so-called specialized schools are no long specialized in educational content. The new syllabus would be How to Become a Gang Banger; How to Protest by Burning Buildings; The Proper Way to Perform Bestiality, etc. And of course all teachers would only be hired if they´re dumber than dirt.

Now, about AOC, she has all the symptoms of high order Williams Syndrome. In fact, she´s likely at the top rung, but she´s still on that ladder.

Fortunately for her she´s able to memorize large scripts full of nonsense and long words she can´t understand.

BTW, when they start cutting out the special (and still rare) programs for the gifted, they will get around to cutting out all the special programs. Then people like AOC will be left to sweep floors for life.

This kind of thing has been going on for a long time. In the mid seventies I wanted to be a fireman. There were a limited number of spots available and you had to pass an exam to make the first cut. When I went for the exam there were only white guys in the room and we all knew only those who got a 90% or better would pass. I got a 94% but was never called. I checked: The day before my test, the minorities had their test. Not only were they coached, but they needed only an 80% to pass. All the spots were filled by minorities that year.

The number one problem in low achieving, poverty area schools is the lack of two-parent families, period. The second is the apathy due to drug and alcohol addiction. The third is a lack of parenting skills that create an environment and a disciplined child.

The modern single mother birth statistics in all racial classifications and the absence of fathers is the highest predictor of student success in school. Forget what the education experts say about money, programs, technology, and teacher effectiveness. I have yet to meet a teacher who doesn´t want to do a great job of educating their students. I have met teachers who have been at war with the battling rhetoric of Ivory Tower know-it-alls, politicians who know they know it all, and the children who have not been properly raised due to modern sensibilities of the If It Feels Good, Do It generations.

It is putting a value on learning above all else, it is demanding the best from their children with no excuses accepted. The old joke about my son the Dr. or my son the Lawyer may be stereotypical but it is not to be demeaned. The parents who value education have children who value it and not with money buying test results but with demanding real results from their children. I always told mine their job was to be good students.

The Flyers wasted little time in following the Yankees lead. A day after the Daily News reported the Yankees had stopped playing Kate Smith’s 1939 recording of “God Bless America” in the middle of the seventh inning over her racist lyrics, the NHL’s Flyers made the same call. And took the extra step of covering a statue in her honor outside the Wells Fargo Center. “We have recently become aware that several songs performed by Kate Smith contain offensive lyrics that do not reflect our values as an organization,” the Flyers said in a statement. “As we continue to look

For the first time in Vatican history, the pope allowed for the reading of Islamic prayers and Koran readings from the Catholic facility. The readings and prayer came as Pope Francis met with Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Vatican City, a gathering designed to pray for Middle Eastern peace. A Holy See spokesman said the prayers were supposed to be a “pause in politics,” Breitbart reported. The pope said, too, that he hoped the interfaith prayers would foster peace specifically between Israelis and Palestinians, the news outlet said.

There have been a lot of viral impersonations of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on social media, but none have been quite this hilarious and adorable. Wearing glasses and bright red lipstick, a young girl brilliantly skewered the freshmen congresswoman in a way that put the current cast of Saturday Night Live to shame. (Video/Tweet) “Like, I’m Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, aka AOC, and like, I want to talk about like, climate change, because like, there’s no doubt cow farts are making the climate change,” the girl’s rant begins. “Like, in July the climate was 96 degrees and in February the climate was 36

Friday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said the Republican Party has become “a cult of Trump’s personality.” Schiff said, “I think we have seen a wholesale abdication responsibility by the GOP leadership, by people like Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell who essentially do whatever the president says. And that includes when the president wants to go around the Congress’ power of the purse. But it certainly includes issues of malfeasance, corruption within the administration. There’s been little or no appetite to stand up to the president in any meaningful way, and that really

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand channeled her inner diva at a Des Moines gay bar, where she posed and palled around with a drag queen. Pics of the Democratic presidential candidate posted to Twitter late Friday showed Gillibrand doing her makeup and striking poses alongside a drag queen at a bar called Blazing Saddles. “I felt underdressed, so I brought a dress I picked up yesterday—turns out it fit me, but it fit Vana even better! Thank you for having me, ladies!” the New York lawmaker tweeted. Gillibrand is holding a May 2 fundraiser with Marti Gold Cummings, whom the campaign described

Robert de Niro furthered the actor’s feud with President Trump by labeling him a “total loser,” “dumbbell” and “wannabe gangster” in an interview Friday evening. Appearing on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on CBS, Mr. De Niro repeatedly took swipes at the president while discussing his reoccurring role depicting special counsel Robert Mueller on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” “It’s a civic duty. It’s my obligation, my civic obligation to play Mueller,” said Mr. De Niro. “I am hoping that it goes further. I don’t know would will happen,” Mr. De Niro continued. “I don’t know if this is actually

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper on Thursday said that there was “passive collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia despite Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s findings that conclude there was no conspiracy. Clapper began by defending the foundation of the Russia probe, telling CNN anchor Anderson Cooper that there was “good reason” for intelligence agencies and law enforcement “to be concerned about whether or not there was some kind of conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians.”

The voluminous report from special counsel Robert Mueller provides a deeply disturbing portrait of a candidate who welcomed the help of a foreign country to get elected and of a president who repeatedly attempted to undermine Mueller’s investigation. Now it is up to Congress and the American people to objectively digest the report and determine the fate of Donald Trump, who in no conceivable way has been exonerated. Over more than 400 plainly written pages released Thursday, the report provides a readable narrative that describes Trump’s eagerness for any help Russia could provide to help him win the 2016 election.
