Trump defends electoral college after
Warren, O’Rourke call to abolish it

President Trump defended the electoral college on Tuesday following calls by presidential hopefuls Elizabeth Warren and Beto O’Rourke to abolish the system. “The brilliance of the Electoral College is that you must go to many States to win,” Trump tweeted on Tuesday night. “With the Popular Vote, you go to… just the large States – the Cities would end up running the Country.” The statement came one day after Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, said during a CNN town hall event that she would back a plan to scrap the process and move to a national popular vote. “My view is

Right now, every donkey is for everything their kooky base wants. Its like a kid in a candystore time for these moonbats. Get rid of the EC? Sure, I´m for it. Pack the Supreme Court, hey sounds good to me. Bankrupt the country and put the economy back to the stone ages? No problemo, I´m on it. Destroy the border and impeach DJT? You got it.

Its all just fluff and hot air. They can´t possibly be this dangerously deranged. Or could they? If the donks seriously plan on delivering these goodies, you can kiss the US goodbye on your way out.

Right, Senator Warren. Every single solitary fraudulent vote should count. Every iGualemalan, illiterate in his own language let alone English, whose ballot was planted and harvested by some college professor’s student battalion of know-nothing useful idiots should count. That’s democracy!

#1, is right. The far left base has pushed the democrat party so far left any wacky idea sounds perfectly reasonable. When your sole purpose is to win by any means possible the door to radicalism is thrown open. The party has jumped the shark. Reasonable Americans are appalled by what they are witnessing from them. The corruption, cheating, lying, entitlement mentality and lurch to embrace solcialism is frightening to most Americans. Democrats are failures. Just look at the cities they run. They are complete disasters. The only thing they are well equipped for is destruction.

There is a day of reckoning coming in 2020 and their only hope is to cheat their way to victory. Eliminating the Electoral College is a must if they want to survive their own suicidal tendencies. Let them bray at the moon with their foolishness. Their policies are failures offering nothing but misery and despair. Now if we can get the Republicans to take advantage and hammer home their incompetency, corruption, and radicalism we just might win bigly!

The electoral college vote balances out the popular vote and that benefits the American people. Each side wants to abolish it because of the loss of the previous election.

Democrats can´t handle loss because they absolutely do not like working with the Republicans. Democrats view the constraints placed on them as a bad thing because they want it all and want nobody to hold back.

As an American taxpayer, I want both the electoral college and popular vote to stay in place. It is becoming too easy for voter fraud in big cities.

The President is correct--the big cities would run the country. Think of that.

So many of our big cities are under longstanding democrat control, and they are in a fiscal, social, and environmental mess. The whole nation would be come an expanded Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, Atlanta, Newark or Memphis.

Those cities are models of democrat socialist run utopia, and the American citizens in flyover country need to learn from that.

Game 2: Reps won 1-0
Game 3: Reps won 1-0
Game 4: Dems won 6-1

And the Dems were convinced they had won it. If I could send an email to our nation´s founders, the Electoral College would be among the top 5 things for which I would express my compliments and gratitude.

The leftist and liberal Democrats lost the last presidential election, are the minority in the Senate, and have lost out on Supreme Court nominees. So those Democrats now want to change US Constitutional provisions in ways that they think will result in them being the future permanently dominant political party on into the future. Those constitutional rules have been in force for about 250 years, are settled law, have served the country well, and should not be changed now because one political party lost a presidential election.

I´ve been thinking about the Electoral College. In a way, it is similar to the way a legislator in the United Kingdom becomes Prime Minister.

In the UK, British subjects do not elect a Prime Minister directly. Rather, they vote for representatives -- Ministers of Parliament -- from their districts. Then the leader of the majority party (or majority coalition of parties) is invited by the Sovereign (Queen Elizabeth) to form a government.

So . . . the UK does not have a pure democracy either. Just saying . . . ours isn´t the only nation who isn´t a pure democracy.

The Dems thought they had the edge to finally transform the country into the liberal bastion they envisioned after Obama won.

Then, they figured Hillary would take over the reigns and finish the job by electing 3-4 Supreme Court justices, and work to change the rules, laws and regulations in such a profound way that the country would no longer resemble one just 30-40 years ago.

The best way to "change" the Electoral College is to have proportional allocation, and remove winner-take-all state decisions which actually disenfranchises voters.

435 House EC districts, have each allocated by winner of the popular vote, then 100 Senators which would be allocated by each Senators preference(likely partisan).

No longer will 5-6 states be considered "swing" states deciding elections.

No longer will Republicans avoid California since they don´t see any pay-off, but could find 7-10, or more EC votes possibly.
No longer could Democrats count on 55 EC votes in California, and no longer could Republicans count on 38 EC votes in Texas (there are 18 Dem House seats in TX).

People who thought their votes didn´t matter, would likely come out and vote since it would.

None requires a constitutional amendment either, just a change in each State´s allocation of EC votes.

I believe the Dems don´t understand the Electoral College. If it were dropped, no candidate would ever campaign in states other than NY, CA, Texas, IL maybe FL and NJ because they are heavy population centers. All that money would go to those states for Primaries and Elections.
But, the bigger picture is which states would receive the most federal pork dollars after the election? Yup, the same states. So the other 45 or so states will become the tax cash cows for the big five. The 45 probably will be covered with wind farms and solar panels anyway. Wonder where our food will come from.

The prestige press has some explaining to do — for subjecting the nation to a long, cruel ordeal named “collusion” and “obstruction.” Almost two years and millions of column inches later, special counsel Robert Mueller has revealed the theory that President Trump and his campaign conspired with Russia has been just that. All that remains of collusion and obstruction is the media’s shattered credibility. One stalwart ploy of leftist writers, commentators and artists is to attach the adjective American to the normal sins of humankind. American Racism. American Injustice. American Sexism. As if these problems exist nowhere but here or as if they were somehow worse here than other places. In fact, when looked at in context, the word American, when used this way, usually turns out to mean “less.” Less Racism. Less Injustice. Less Sexism. Indeed many of America’s faults and flaws arise from the high standards to which we hold it. After reading the Mueller Report, I came away with a similar

If you left a bait bucket -wrapped in a plastic bag- sitting in the sun for three days, the results would be be appropriate for Mitt Romney’s latest brand of cologne. WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said on Friday he was “sickened” by the dishonesty of U.S. President Donald Trump and people around him as portrayed in a report on Russia’s attempts to influence the 2016 election. (more) Apparently Mitt Romney wants the world to know his opinion of the Mueller report:

There have been a lot of viral impersonations of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on social media, but none have been quite this hilarious and adorable. Wearing glasses and bright red lipstick, a young girl brilliantly skewered the freshmen congresswoman in a way that put the current cast of Saturday Night Live to shame. (Video/Tweet) “Like, I’m Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, aka AOC, and like, I want to talk about like, climate change, because like, there’s no doubt cow farts are making the climate change,” the girl’s rant begins. “Like, in July the climate was 96 degrees and in February the climate was 36

Friday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said the Republican Party has become “a cult of Trump’s personality.” Schiff said, “I think we have seen a wholesale abdication responsibility by the GOP leadership, by people like Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell who essentially do whatever the president says. And that includes when the president wants to go around the Congress’ power of the purse. But it certainly includes issues of malfeasance, corruption within the administration. There’s been little or no appetite to stand up to the president in any meaningful way, and that really

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper on Thursday said that there was “passive collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia despite Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s findings that conclude there was no conspiracy. Clapper began by defending the foundation of the Russia probe, telling CNN anchor Anderson Cooper that there was “good reason” for intelligence agencies and law enforcement “to be concerned about whether or not there was some kind of conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians.”

The voluminous report from special counsel Robert Mueller provides a deeply disturbing portrait of a candidate who welcomed the help of a foreign country to get elected and of a president who repeatedly attempted to undermine Mueller’s investigation. Now it is up to Congress and the American people to objectively digest the report and determine the fate of Donald Trump, who in no conceivable way has been exonerated. Over more than 400 plainly written pages released Thursday, the report provides a readable narrative that describes Trump’s eagerness for any help Russia could provide to help him win the 2016 election.

Joe Biden is running. The former vice president will make his candidacy official with a video announcement next Wednesday, according to people familiar with the discussions who have been told about them by top aides. Seriously, he’s actually made a decision. It’s taken two years of back-and-forth, it’ll be his third (or, depending on how you count, seventh) try for the White House, and many people thought he wouldn’t do it, but the biggest factor reshaping the 2020 Democratic-primary field is locking into place.

Buildings like Notre Dame do not erupt into flames spontaneously. That’s not how God works, even to punish a civilization as deep in moral ruin as ours. My suspicions, and those of almost everyone I know, are hardly calmed when we see Fox News—yes, even Fox—repeatedly refusing to host an honest discussion of the possibility, even as experts tell French TV that eight hundred year old timber simply doesn’t burn that way without an accelerant. I mean, it’s not as though news networks restrain their hosts from wild speculation during other crises. So, understandably, the first reaction from anyone who has
