Beto is the poor man´s Obama —
Dems can do better

The Hill [DC], by Kristin Tate

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 3/18/2019 5:22:16 AM

Beto O’Rourke is in! After a reverential Vanity Fair profile and awkward couch announcement at his home, he is now seeking to become ... something. Speaking in vagaries and platitudes, Beto says he plans to make us all into the better people he hopes we can be. We’ve been through this with Barack Obama — and have no reason to fall for a worse imitation 12 years later. In many ways, Beto-mania is a poor man´s version of Obama´s ascension to the national stage in 2007. Obama had a similar unveiling before his presidential announcement in late 2006.

No, the Dems cannot do better. That’s why they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. This barrel has been empty for a long, long time.

Of all the candidates, Robby is the most likely to do exactly what his financial overlords tell him to do, which is why the press is fawning all over him. To me, he comes across like a used car salesman.

How can Dems do better? Just look at this collection of losers. All of them will say and sign on to anything to get a vote. Everyone of them is spineless, afraid to speak out against the criers. I can’t see how the 2020 election will be close considering what the Democrats have to offer. Landslide Trump, anyone?

Do you suppose Texas loser, "Beto O´Rourke" is still raking in millions on his looks alone ["Kennedy-esque]?" His awkward, out-there gesticulating, and halting speech, then? Or is it maybe he is a "hacker elite"-type, capable of attracting and inspiring elites even a magnitude more dangerous than himself, and willing to serve? There is a coup going on, or civil war, currently abbreviated as a "resistance." With a hacker elite, these needed objectives come into play: queering the internet, the grids, all election results, installing "golems" and viruses into our defense systems [telemetry and satellite], "open banking" leading to a desired global financial meltdown, mining A.I. systems for the new "need to know" deep-staters; and then for collectivizing delusion, brainwashing for fun and profit, ending truth, and debate, and common sense and critical thinking? But of course he will fail.

Strange as it may seem, watching Bernie Sanders on the Fox News town hall Monday night brought back memories of the Soviet Union for me. I went there for the first time in 1987, one year before Sanders went to the communist country. I was on a cultural exchange arranged for crime writers; Bernie was there to get married. Although I was more or less still on the left, I found what I saw horrifying. Bernie took off his shirt and sang ”This Land Is Your Land.”(video)In other words, although we were in the USSR at basically the same point,

9 Apocalyptic Lies Fed To Americans
About The Republican Tax Bill
The Federalist, by Madeline Osburn    Original Article

Monday is the first Tax Day under the new Republican tax bill passed in December 2017, and the results are not what Democrats and their media apparatus predicted. Many Americans are discovering that they are not only alive and well, but indeed paying less taxes. As Ben Casselman and Jim Tankersley pointed out in The New York Times, there is a disparity between what Americans thought they would be paying the IRS this year, and what they actually paid. This myth, “appears to flow from a sustained — and misleading — effort

Behind the Obama administration’s shady

In Senate testimony last week, Attorney General William Barr used the word “spying” to refer to the Obama administration, um, spying on the Trump campaign. Of course, fainting spells ensued, with the media-Democrat complex in meltdown. Former FBI Director Jim Comey tut-tutted that he was confused by Barr’s comments, since the FBI’s “surveillance” had been authorized by a court. (Needless to say, the former director neglected to mention that the court was not informed that the bureau’s “evidence” for the warrants was unverified hearsay paid for by the Clinton campaign.)

A group of parents in Brooklyn are seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent mandatory measles vaccinations from taking effect. The parents’ lawsuit against the New York City Department of Health called the emergency order "arbitrary and capricious" and the measures it necessitates "drastic." The order, issued by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio last week, demands that all persons, starting at the age of 6 months old, who live, work or attend school within the specified zip codes of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, be vaccinated.

PARIS – The Latest on the fire that swept through Paris´ Notre Dame cathedral (all times local): 8:45 a.m. A French cultural heritage expert says France no longer has trees big enough to replace ancient wooden beams that burned in the Notre Dame fire. Bertrand de Feydeau, vice president of preservation group Fondation du Patrimoine, told France Info radio that the wooden roof that went up in flames was built with beams more than 800 years ago from primal forests. Speaking Tuesday, he said the cathedral´s roof cannot be rebuilt exactly as it was

Almost every day, somebody somewhere recycles the idea that President Donald J. Trump doesn’t want to be president. He never did, they say. His heart is not in it. He wants to protect his business empire first and foremost. He doesn’t like having to answer to Congress. You’ll have heard these arguments in one form or another. They all make sense, until you consider that there is almost zero evidence to support them. The truth is that, unless he is pulling the greatest con perpetuated against American democracy (not impossible), Trump is running again –

It is fun to watch the left react to Trump’s suggestion that he might send migrants and asylum seekers to “sanctuary cities,” but their outrage may conceal the panic of the political fallout if Trump goes through with it, as he should. Anyone remember the Mariel Boatlift in 1980? That’s when Fidel Castro declared that anyone who wanted to emigrate to the United States was free to do so within a narrow window of time. Within days, 125,000 Cubans were en route to the U.S. Just where did that rickety fleet come from on such short notice?

“There are no second acts in American lives.” The line is F. Scott Fitzgerald’s and it is overused and demonstrably false as Tiger Woods proved on Sunday at the Masters. Fitzgerald probably would not appreciate the way his famous line has been turned into a cliché. He likely had intended it as one character’s brooding thoughts in a novel he never completed. Perhaps he had it mind for that character to experience a second act, disproving the gloomy aphorism. Maybe he was even imagining something like the resurrection of Tiger Woods in the Masters on Sunday.
