Solomoon: A New Trend Where Newlyweds

A couple’s wedding day is typically followed by their honeymoon. But there’s a new trend where newlyweds actually spend their honeymoon away from each other. In the early days of honeymoons — early 1800s — it was a time for couples to travel and visit relatives who couldn’t make it to their wedding. So it was zero alone time, which is quite the departure from this new trend. Take the honey out of the moon and you’ve got a solomoon. On Instagram, almost 1,500 posts display the reality of this new trend, where newlyweds decide to vacation alone or with

We went on a canoe trip years ago with others. One paddler was just married but her husband stayed home. She badmouthed him the entire trip and needless to say, they were divorced soon after. Marriage is teamwork, and if they can´t work together to resolve their issues there is no reason to stay together.

Worse yet is if these ununited pairs survive as a pair to have children who learn to play one independent parent off the other and become master manipulators.

That is because so many of these couples have already been having sex for years, have been living together almost that long, and probably have a few kids running around.

They are probably ready for a break from each other after all that plus the stress of putting on a wedding.

But, hey, at least they got married. Most young people have no interest or intention to ever do that!!!! Which is just another sign that our society is quickly going down the drain!!!!!

I’m reminded of my parents’ next-door neighbors back in the Seventies. The couple got married in Vegas after having been shacked up for several years. The husband had no interest in honeymooning, he preferred to do some gambling. The “new” bride complained about it. His answer was, “We’ve being doing it all these years. Why go through this ( the honeymoon)? I thought he had a point.

I´m a little puzzled. Is there any Democratic candidate for president who has an idea that doesn´t involve a massive increase in federal spending? Kamala Harris isn´t one of them. Harris has proposed using federal funds to augment teacher salaries, proposing "the largest federal investment in teacher salaries in the history of the United States." Washington Examiner: "We are a society that pretends to care about education, but not the education of other people´s children. And we´ve got to deal with that," Harris told the crowd of 2,400 people. "We are not paying our teachers their value... That ain´t right!"
