It’s a Masters Sunday Rory McIlroy and his family will forever remember.
Moments after the Northern Irishman won the 2025 Masters following a rollercoaster final round at Augusta National, where he won his first green jacket and completed a career grand slam after defeating England’s Justin Rose in a one-hole playoff, McIlroy celebrated with wife Erica Stoll.
The couple, who reconciled last summer after McIlroy filed for divorce in May 2024, sweetly embraced as they took in the jubilant scene with their 4-year-old daughter, Poppy. (X Video)

In another new development on the energy front, it looks like oil and natural gas production in the Gulf of America is going to be on the upswing - and one report indicates that there's a lot more oil and gas than estimated. This is good news for the energy sector and for those parts of the economy that are reliant on affordable, reliable energy. In other words - all of it.And, as have so many great things, it starts with the reversal of a Biden-era policy.

Suspended Dauphin County Magistrate Judge Sonya McKnight was convicted Wednesday of attempted murder and aggravated assault for shooting her ex-boyfriend in the head as he slept.
McKnight, a Dauphin County judge since 2016 and a Democrat, carried out the heinous act days after her ex-boyfriend, Michael McCoy, ended their relationship.
The incident, which unfolded in February 2024, stemmed from a bitter breakup. McKnight, 58, had been living in her ex-boyfriend Michael McCoy’s home but refused to leave despite his repeated demands after their relationship ended.

We reported earlier Sunday how Pennsylvania Gov. President Donald Trump’s Department of Education (DOE) on Friday announced that it has begun the process of cutting federal K-12 funding to Maine, as the Democrat-run state continues to allow transgender-identifying males on female sports teams.
DOE is also referring its Title IX investigation of the state to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for “further enforcement action,” the department said. DOE said its actions are a “direct result” of the Maine Department of Education’s (MDOE) continued refusal to comply with Title IX, which prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities receiving federal funding.

On Thursday, President Donald Trump said his administration will “work with [illegal immigrants who self deport] right from the beginning on trying to get them back in legally.” While that may sound like a clever strategy to encourage self-deportation, it misses the bigger picture — and sends the wrong message.

Such statements completely undermine the seriousness of violating our immigration laws and insult every single American. Allowing aliens who broke the law to have a second chance at coming to the U.S. legally is like rewarding someone who broke into your home by handing them the front door key.

Fighting against the wishes of their voters is a classic Republican pastime — and this week is no different.
When they apparently thought nobody was looking, a cabal of GOP senators comprised of Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski, Utah’s John Curtis, Kansas’ Jerry Moran, and North Carolina’s Thom Tillis — who’s up for reelection next year — quietly sent a letter on Wednesday to Senate Majority Leader John Thune regarding ongoing negotiations over the party’s reconciliation package.

President Donald Trump signed a memorandum authorizing a “military mission for sealing the southern border of the United States and repelling invasions,” giving the U.S. military the ability to occupy public land along the border in order to secure it.
The directive, released late Friday, allows the military to use federal lands for military activities, including constructing border barriers and using “detection and monitoring equipment” to deter would-be migrant invaders.

No rational explanation accounts for her reckless attacks on Trump, especially given her own checkered history of possibly illegal real estate transactions.
James’s father, Robert James, was born in South Carolina in 1916. He married Letitia’s mother, Nellie, and set out to build a future in New York City. The recall is applicable to 189 cases of “Cabot Creamery 8 oz. Extra Creamy Premium Butter” totaling 1,701 pounds, the agency said in an April 8 enforcement report. The products are being withdrawn as they are “contaminated with elevated levels of coliform” bacteria.

When does rank illiberalism become "freedom?" When mainstream press outlets need another way to proclaim the orange man bad. The Economist did just that on Sunday morning, releasing a think piece entitled "Europe Is the Actual Land of the Free Now."

Wretchardthecat has given us a sage analysis of the MAGA agenda:
The reason the MAGA initiatives looked so disjointed to the media is they were component parts of a vast alternative worldview now coming into sight. Like the five blind men and the elephant the progressives are only now realizing the aspects of a single larger foe.
Immigration control is a key feature of the MAGA initiatives: closing the border, removing illegal immigrants, keeping non-citizens from voting and stopping federal funds from going to so called non-government organizations who were bringing in millions of immigrants who overwhelmed housing, welfare, and educational budgets, committed crimes, and threatened national security.

The celebration of Palm Sunday originated in the Jerusalem Church, around the late fourth century. The early Palm Sunday ceremony consisted of prayers, hymns, and sermons recited by the clergy while the people walked to various holy sites throughout the city. At the final site, the place where Christ ascended into heaven, the clergy would read from the gospels concerning the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. In the early evening they would return to the city reciting: “Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord.

The UK government is taking control of Chinese-owned British Steel after emergency legislation was rushed through Parliament in a single day. Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds told MPs the government's likely next step would be to nationalise the Scunthorpe plant, which employs 2,700 people. But he said he was forced to seek emergency powers to prevent owners Jingye shutting down its two blast furnaces, which would have ended primary steel production in the UK. MPs and peers were called back from their Easter holidays to debate the legislation in an extremely rare Saturday sitting of both houses of Parliament. It has now received Royal Assent after being passed

Ministers could send the Royal Navy to escort a fuel shipment to Scunthorpe’s blast furnaces after parliament voted to seize control of British Steel to ensure its survival.
A senior source said the government was considering the extraordinary move to ensure the cargo reached the UK without being intercepted or redirected. The location and details of the cargo have not been confirmed but it is said to be coking coal — vital to keeping the furnaces running. Without securing fresh supplies, the furnaces at the steelworks, owned by the Chinese firm Jingye, would burn out and be almost impossible to turn back on. This would kill the UK’s last domestic source

I remember very well that day in 2015, Donald Trump came down that golden escalator in Trump Tower to announce that he was running for President of the United States. He had run before; some of us remember his 2000 run on the Reform Party ticket, which he abandoned in February of that year. In 2015, he was serious, and he won, in no small part because of his slogan, which became his campaign theme. Like all good political slogans, it was pithy, packed a punch, was easy to shout at rallies, and it sparked a connection with millions of Americans: Make America Great Again.

Augusta, Ga. — History awaits Rory McIlroy.
A career Grand Slam sits a tantalizing 18 holes away.
Sometime before 3 p.m. Sunday, McIlroy will stand on the first tee in the final pairing of the day at Augusta National on the precipice of history, with a chance to become only the sixth player ever to win all four major championships. (Photo) He’s won two PGA Championships, one U.S. Open and one British Open. The Masters has been the elusive one, like the girl you’ve been asking out for years who keeps rejecting you. This week is McIlroy’s 11th attempt at completing the career Slam by winning his first Masters.

CNN ‘extremism expert’ Donie O’Sullivan appeared on the network on Friday night to preview an upcoming program on the subject of political extremism in the country right now and laughably claimed that all the extremism is on the right with no equivalent on the left.
It’s amazing that anyone could say such a thing with a straight face.
The left is attacking Tesla owners and firebombing Tesla dealerships. The left is leading antisemitic mobs on college campuses and in cities. The left is holding up accused murderer Luigi Mangione as some kind of hero.

President Donald Trump’s entrance to UFC 314 in Miami, Florida, Saturday night sent the Kaseya Center into a frenzy.
The president walked into a star-packed Kaseya Center sporting a gold tie while flanked by his entourage, which included some of his grandchildren, UFC CEO Dana White, and Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), who Trump has endorsed for governor of Florida. (X Video) UFC Commentator Joe Rogan asked fellow commentators John Anik and former Heavyweight Champion and U.S. Olympian Daniel Cormier, if anyone else besides Trump and UFC fighters has a “walk-in” as the president’s signature entry song, “
