If only the NCAA Tournament had this much excitement.
The NIT Championship game in Indianapolis between UC Irvine and Chattanooga came down to the final play of overtime.
Trailing 85-84 with 2.4 seconds left in overtime, UC Irvine’s Devin Tillis tossed a full-court pass that was pulled in by Bent Leuchten. The 7-foot-1 center then fed the ball to a wide-open Jurian Dixon, whose rushed layup painfully rolled off the rim, giving Chattanooga its first NIT title. (X Video) It came after a dramatic and nervous final minute for both teams.

In the Arena of Make-Believe, I wish President Trump would show up at his press conferences with a five-inch high stack of 8x10 cards hand-lettered with a big fat Sharpie. Imagine this: Press member: "President Trump...Was your national security team derelict in their duty when they engaged in the Signal chat about bombing Houthis?"
President Trump, shuffling through his index cards, pulls one out and holds it up. It says "PRESIDENT BIDEN, ARE YOU MENTALLY FIT TO PERFORM YOUR DUTIES?" Then he replies to the reporter, "Since you guys never asked him this, I'm claiming a pass. I'm not going to answer your question because you don't have enough professional credibility

The budget reconciliation package in the Senate is ready to move, and Republicans have the votes to push it through. It contains some red meat action items, like making the 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent, funding to secure the border and the military, and honoring the ‘no tax on tips’ pledge. This package is why a shutdown or a 30-day continuing resolution pushed by Democrats was a non-starter. We needed the buffer to get this package hashed out because while the Senate seems ready, the House must also come together on the language (via Axios):

King Charles and Queen Camilla are gearing up to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary next week.
And the secret to the longevity of their marriage? Separate living arrangements.
According to a former palace staffer, the monarch, 76, and his wife, 77, maintain separate residences, with Camilla having her beloved home in Wiltshire, while Charles owns countless royal residences peppered across the country. (Photo) According to Jack Stooks, who worked as a senior gardener at Highgrove for Charles for over two decades, the couple had agreed on a separate living arrangement before tying the knot in 2005.

New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams praised FBI director Kash Patel’s book as he warned of the deep state in a visit with comedian Andrew Schultz.
Appearing on Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant with Akaash Singh, Adams assured the audience that the deep state is real.Schultz noted that Adams’ political career has been on the line as he has faced accusations and threats of prosecution, and Schultz asked Adams if he thought that President Biden was aware of his situation.
“That’s a great question,” Adams replied. “You know, there are a lot of people you know this, you know, and I don’t want to sound conspiracy theory, but there’s a permanent government.

What do we have here: Chuck Schumer wanting to tighten up security measures on Social Security to root out fraud and disincentivize illegal immigration since, according to the New York liberal, these are the programs that encourage people to come here illegally. Then-Congressman Schumer said it was “the number one reason” illegals flood the country, to defraud and abuse our entitlement programs. This clip was making the rounds yesterday, which caught the attention of Elon Musk, who noted it was “pure gold,” while adding that 1996 Chuck Schumer was the right model. At the time, Rep. Schumer sounded very much in support of the actions

The Trump administration plans to freeze more than half a billion dollars in federal grants and contracts to Brown University, The Post has learned.
The administration intends to withhold $510 million in federal funding to Brown University while it reviews the Ivy League School’s response to alleged cases of antisemitism on its Providence, R.I., campus, as well as the institution’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies, a White House official confirmed Thursday.
Brown University Provost Frank Doyle told faculty and staff in an email Thursday that he was “aware” of the “troubling rumors emerging about federal action on Brown research grants” but that he had

So, the special elections came and went, and the MSM is very excited with the final results. The GOP held two open U.S. House seats in Florida while losing a Democrat-held State Supreme Court seat in Wisconsin. Politico, which was, until recently, being funded by the Biden administration, has had at least three articles documenting what they presume will be just the beginning of a supposed coming Democrat “blue wave” — see here and here and here.

Is the Supreme Court Compromised by Deep State Cronyism?
In a bombshell revelation that’s sending shockwaves through conservative circles, it turns out Chief Justice John Roberts has been rubbing elbows with none other than Norm Eisen—the radical leftist operative who’s spent years orchestrating lawfare campaigns against President Donald Trump and his allies.
According to a report from Revolver News, Roberts didn’t just bump into Eisen at a D.C. cocktail party. No, these two are apparently such “good pals” that Roberts jetted off to the Czech Republic for a week-long sleepover at Eisen’s lavish 150-room palace.

The father of a Texas teen accused of fatally stabbing a football star from a rival school over a seat at the stadium says his son is a “good kid” who was provoked to violence.
“Everyone has already made their assumptions about my son, but he’s not what they’re making him out to be,” Andrew Anthony told The Post.
Karmelo Anthony, 17, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly killing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a track meet, leaving him to die in his twin brother’s arms.
“He’s a good kid. He works two jobs. He’s an A student, has a 3.7 GPA,” the heartbroken dad said.
