In the first full month after Kash Patel was confirmed as FBI director on February 20, the FBI received a record number of new agent applications. 5,577 new applications were filed in March, after 2023 saw a monthly average of 2,797 applications, and 2024’s monthly average was 3,383. The most recent month that saw a number approximating March was April 2016, when 5,283 applications were filed, Fox News reported. “Director Patel and Deputy Director Bongino have put a major emphasis on restoring confidence in federal law enforcement and boosting new agent recruiting,” FBI spokesman Ben Williamson told Fox News Digital. “These record early returns certainly suggest

So much for shutting it down. I don't want to hear about "Good Guys in charge now", because the INSTANT a new President is in charge, they will be right back to arresting parents for daring to speak at School Board meetings or for praying neat an abortion clinic. And I think it's been pretty well proven that the "Good Guys" will arrest you just as quick as the "Bad Guys" if their bosses tell them to. They might say sorry as they do it. P.S. Any arrests for the Pedos yet? Russiagate? Deep State? Election interference?

Liberal firebrand Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) took almost $400,000 from political action committees, despite claiming otherwise, documents seen by The Post reveal. A 2020 tweet sent by the 44-year-old congresswoman — recently blasted for referring to disabled Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who uses a wheelchair, as “Hot Wheels” — claimed she had accepted “zero dollars” from corporate PACs while her opposition had taken $192,000. However, campaign finance disclosure data for the period between July 5 and Dec. 31, 2020, show a different picture. Disclosures from when she ran for state representative of District 100 in the Dallas area show 22 different entries from donors described as PACs,

The European Union is considering levying a $1 billion fine against Elon Musk’s X, alleging that the social media company has violated its law against disinformation and illicit content, The New York Times reported. Along with the hefty fine, the E.U. would also demand that X make changes to its product, according to the Times, which cited “four people with knowledge of the plans.” If the E.U. moves forward, it would be the first fine imposed by the body using its Digital Services Act (DSA). The DSA “regulates online intermediaries and platforms … to prevent illegal and harmful activities online and the spread of disinformation.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is gearing up for a potential U.S. Senate run while no longer shadowed by a federal corruption investigation that hung over his rising profile in the Republican Party. That durability would be tested against Republican Sen. John Cornyn should Paxton embark on what would likely be one of the country’s most contentious 2026 primary battles. Paxton, a close ally of President Donald Trump, has hinted at challenging Cornyn for more than a year but has not said when he will make a decision.

A prominent sheriff who for years refused to turn over illegal immigrants is waging a pitched fight with federal authorities that has taken on new significance with President Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden, a second-term Democrat in Charlotte, said he would gladly cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement but would risk lawsuits if he did so. “Sheriffs are the ones who are going to have to … hold the torch and also carry out this,” McFadden said in a Zoom interview with the Washington Examiner this week. “But the sheriffs are also going to be the ones

The globalist World Economic Forum (WEF) founder Klaus Schwab has begun to “start the process” of stepping down as chair of its board of trustees, the Geneva-based institution confirmed Thursday. The German academic said the forum, which convenes its annual gathering of world elites at the Swiss resort of Davos, must recover its “sense of mission” after a period of turmoil. The Financial Times first reported Schwab’s departure, citing a letter to trustee board members and confirmation by two people with knowledge of the situation.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil demanded on Wednesday that the international community “put on their pants” and act to “free” the Venezuelan illegal migrants detained in El Salvador. Socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro and other members of his authoritarian regime have repeatedly accused the United States of “kidnapping” 238 Venezuelan illegal migrants suspected of being members of the Tren de Aragua terrorist organization who were deported to El Salvador in March. According to the Maduro regime, the 1798 Alien Enemies Act that President Donald Trump invoked to deport illegal migrants is an “anachronistic law” that violates human rights and its use is comparable to “slavery” and “Nazi concentration camps.”

“Rampant copper wire theft” is plunging Los Angeles into darkness, leading city officials to install solar-powered streetlights as a fortification measure. Critics say undaunted thieves will just steal the valuable solar panels. They also wonder why Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is focusing on making infrastructure harder to steal instead of addressing theft itself. “This installation is a result of Mayor Bass’ focus on improving city services and infrastructure for Angelenos by finding innovative and new ways to solve longstanding city challenges like rampant copper wire theft,” said Bass’s office in a statement. “Solar lighting disrupts the cycle of vandalism and robbery, providing a resilient and sustainable solution

San Quentin’s stone walls no longer turn blood cold: California’s infamous correctional facility is getting a $239 million makeover, courtesy of California taxpayers, as Governor Gavin Newsom attempts to turn the maximum security prison into a “restorative justice facility.” The prison that once housed famous inmates such a Charles Manson will now be a Nordic-style rehabilitation center complete with “normalizing spaces” such as a farmer’s market, podcast studios, food trucks, and a self-service grocery store. Construction on the project is now under way, the San Francisco Chronicle reported, and will likely be complete in January 2026.

President Donald Trump’s tariffs plan is likely to create some price hikes, at least in the short term. Car prices are among the most prominent items likely to become more expensive, so Trump is also proposing that taxpayers be able to deduct interest payments on auto loans for domestic cars. To be sure, Trump is not making an explicit linkage between looming car price hikes and the car loan idea. But even left unsaid, it could be an economic spoonful of sugar to help the medicine (tariffs) go down. Trump originally pitched the proposal while campaigning for president in Michigan last year.

Everybody likes cheap stuff. We bargain hunt constantly, eager to find a way to save a dollar here and a dollar there while buying what we want and need. Clever retailers, eager to convince shoppers that they are saving money, will market sales as a means to entice customers through the door. At the same time, we notice when things increase in price. Over the past four years, as inflation brought on by excessive government spending tore through the economy, Americans everywhere righteously grumbled about the increased cost of groceries, fuel, and other necessities. In the 2024 election, voters’ concerns about inflation helped doom the Democratic Party

House Republicans last week paved the way to overturn a Biden-era Department of Energy (DOE) rule regulating walk-in coolers and freezers, and on Thursday the Senate also voted to end the regulation. Republican Oklahoma Rep. Stephanie Bice introduced H.J. Res. 24 in January, advocating to repeal a Biden-era rule titled, “Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Walk-In Coolers and Walk-In Freezers.” Senate Republicans approved the resolution with a 53-42 vote along party lines after it passed the House on March 27, pushing it to President Donald Trump’s desk for approval. DOE officials said they wanted to impose newer energy conservation standards. The Washington, D.C.-based Competitive Enterprise Institute said

President Donald Trump signed an executive order to secure elections, including requiring documentary proof of citizenship to vote — mirroring a bill set to be voted on in the House. While noncitizen voting is already illegal, the current law is largely toothless. Trump’s order, along with the House legislation, would simply add some teeth. But Democrats are terrified that Republicans are finally taking the needed steps to enforce the law and protect our elections from violations that have been long ignored. “Trump and Congressional Republicans are escalating their assault on American democracy through the noxious SAVE Act,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said in a statement.
