Elon Musk Should Take on Social Security

Original Article

If I say that Elon Musk is the smartest, boldest, most creative entrepreneur in the world, I don't think I will get pushback. President Donald Trump's move to bring him to Washington and put him at the top of a new Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, to do the seemingly impossible -- to streamline a vastly outsized government spending behemoth -- injects hope that yes, maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.Musk, the world's richest man, is not beholden to anyone, and so there is little danger of him getting bogged down and imprisoned in the Washington culture of politics and quid pro quo.

Actually, Star, Elon should take on Medicaid next. Paying for the illegals' medical expenses under this program is wrought with fraud. Or make it a clean sweep by auditing SS, Medicare, and Medicaid all at the same time.

What Musk is doing is ingenious, and fitting for a genius. No one else would and could do it. Musk can connect the world with Starlink, bring the astronauts home, build cars and rockets, and now save the country from our government.

Social Security and the endless rules, regulations, and obscure (secret) pieces of paper you’re supposed to have. But #1 is close: you can probably audit all 3 and clear out 95% of The Swamp.

There is just so much that needs the attention of a principled, brilliant team to set right. Reducing the Agencies to a bare necessary minimum would be a good start. Woodrow Wilson started this mess, with the idea of a government of Experts. The trouble with experts, is that they often talk big and have little to back it up. The Agencies have become opportunities for patronage, which also creates little fortresses of Political resistance to change. Republicans have been stymied by slow-walking of changes and malicious compliance in the past. Maybe Elon can change this.

Rule number 1 for Social Security reform: if you never paid in; you can never take out. In cases of true disability, etc.---which should be vigorously investigated before qualification---another program can take the place of SS. There should be millions, maybe billions returned after reform.

#6. Agree. When SS was started it was supposed to be a retirement program for people who did not save money for old age. It was not for disabilities. I feel compassion for anyone with a disability. But SS was not created for them. Also, why do people receivng SS have to report it as income on their IRS return. It supposed to be money they are getting returned from when they were younger.

You miserable SOBs took money out of my paycheck for my entire working life, on the off chance that I might get some small portion of it back. I had no option to opt out, and because of it my family had less. Now I am one month away from getting my first check and you are talking about messing with it. No gallows is too high and no torture is too painful.

Get the "undocumented immigrants" off of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Remove people who never paid in. Move the truly disabled to another program financed by cuts in other government programs. Audit Social Security and calculate how much money would have been available had it been invested (even if only invested in US Government Bonds) instead of "borrowed" (stolen from the "lock box") by the swamp creatures. And stop taxing the payments.

SS was a ripoff from its very beginning. A way for dim-0s to buy votes while ripping off taxpayers their entire working lives. When SS was brand new, a person had to be 65 years old to draw and yet, the average life span was 59 years. THEN when medicare came in, all phases of healthcare slowly started to see a way to make more money, charge more for services, no patient would mind cause they werent getting the bill, the gubmint did.

On Thursday’s “Alex Marlow Show,” host and Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow talked about President Trump’s speech at the Prayer Breakfast. Marlow said, “[A]ll the good that’s happening in this country right now, of all these positive things that are happening, the cracking down on the illegal immigration, the restoring integrity to women’s sports, the prospect of getting the Panama Canal back, the prospect of eliminating some of this fentanyl that’s flowing into our country, all of these things…that DOGE is doing…none of this would have happened if that bullet had just been a fraction of an inch closer to the fat part of Trump’s skull…if that doesn’t bring you to religion,

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) reintroduced a bill on Thursday that would permanently eliminate top diversity positions at the Department of Defense, Breitbart News has exclusively learned. The Restoring Military Focus Act would permanently eliminate the Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Advisers for Diversity and Inclusion positions, which were established by the fiscal year 2021 National Defense Authorization Act in the wake of the George Floyd protests. While President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have ordered that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) be banned from the military, Roy’s bill would codify it into law so it could not be reversed in the future under a new administration.

Rogan is now speaking out against such claims made in the book.

President Donald Trump gathered with House Republican leaders at the White House on Thursday to relay his tax priorities. In the meeting, he told House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., and others that he wants to fulfill his campaign promise to stop taxing tips. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt updated reporters as the lengthy meeting was still ongoing, detailing that Trump wants "no tax on seniors, Social Security, no tax on overtime pay." (Photo) Additionally, she said, he wants to renew his tax cuts from 2017 in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).

The Washington Post had an interesting article about how Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency crew were weeding out the waste that’s engulfed the capital. I don’t know if the Post was trying to cast this off as creepy—I think it’s cool: the DOGE crew is using artificial intelligence to find spending cuts (via WaPo): Representatives from Elon Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service have fed sensitive data from across the Education Department into artificial intelligence software to probe the agency’s programs and spending, according to two people with knowledge of the DOGE team’s actions. The AI probe includes data with personally identifiable information for people who manage grants,

Billionaire philanthropist George Soros, through his network of organizations, received a staggering $260 million from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID has been accused of funneling funds to entities connected with Soros’ Open Society Foundations, which are known for advocating for radical and regime changes globally. The narrative around this funding has been traced back through several documents and reports. In 2018, Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, filed a lawsuit against the State Department and USAID, seeking records on funding to Soros’s organizations in Albania.

Axios, another far-left media outlet, obtained a copy of a memo sent to the GSA by an unnamed Trump administration official directing the agency to do two things:

Sometimes you have to laugh. Earlier this week, Sen. Chuck Schumer threw his toys out of the stroller in a social media post. He wrote: “An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government.” To the extent that this histrionic claim makes any sense we must guess that Schumer was talking about the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Schumer seemed especially angry about the closure of USAID. He went on to grouse about Donald Trump and his “billionaire buddies.” Happily for those of us who keep an eye on such things, Schumer’s rant was reposted by Alex Soros.
