President Trump has directed that the US military prison complex at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, be used to detain criminal aliens pending repatriation to their home nation or some other destination. Using the occasion of the official signing of the Laken Riley Act (Wednesday Morning Minute: May the MAHA Be With You – RedState), President Trump directed the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to work together to refurbish a 30,000-bed migrant detention center at Guantanamo for use.

First responders are in a desperate search for survivors after a military helicopter collided with a plane near Reagan Washington National Airport in Virginia Wednesday night, according to officials.
The American Airlines flight traveling from Wichita, Kan., collided with the military chopper while approaching Runaway 33 at the DC airport around 9 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
First responders have recovered at least 19 bodies from the river as of early Thursday, CBS reports. (Photos) Some 300 first responders endured dark, cold and windy conditions as they continue to execute “a rescue operation” hours after the crash.

A police official on the scene told CBS News that three debris fields were spotted in the water and at least 18 bodies had been recovered as of 10:30 p.m. CT.
The official confirmed that no survivors had been found, contradicting initial reports from media that four had been discovered.
