Breathtaking: There's no other word for the sheer ambition and scope of Donald Trump's second inaugural address. President Trump is back with all the confidence of a man delivered from death for a purpose. Voters save his political life and legacy, too, by reelecting him in the face of every accusation and criminal charge against him. Trump has been given a second chance -- by God and the country alike -- and his address left no doubt he intends to use it to transform America. Comments:

I meant to watch the NCAA national championship game. I couldn't turn off Fox News, where I found the best coverage of the events of yesterday. President Trump hit the ground running yesterday, not unlike a 350lb defensive tackle going after a 150lb running back with the football in his arms!!

FTA: 'For that matter, will the GOP Senate give Trump the backing to follow through on what he sees as his popular mandate?' I suspect that, being the spineless, shifty weasels most of them are, they will protect their self-interest. As in: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. They might even suddenly remember they were elected to serve The People.

Let them eat word salad! Newly unemployed Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff are slinking back to Los Angeles Monday — where they will pass out food to wildfire victims after all but ignoring their plight for two weeks. The former vice president has formally left the White House and is returning to her mansion in the wildfire ravaged city after losing the election to President Trump in the November. Harris is expected to fly to her home state with an all-female US Air Force crew, the first of which to ever operate a C-33, MSNBC reported.

I’ve never really been in favor of the idea of endless investigations into people just because they are your political opponent. I didn’t like it when Democrats did it to Donald Trump, and I wasn’t keen on the idea of Republicans doing it to Democrats. But notice how that sentence is in the past tense. Screw those people, unleash the hounds. I have known Joe Biden was a vindictive, corrupt little man. On his last day in office he showed just how far down the toilet he now lives. My former boss, the late Montana Senator Conrad Burns,

Hours after President Trump was sworn into office, a Border Patrol agent in Vermont was shot during a traffic stop Monday afternoon. NewsNation reporter Ali Bradley reported the agent was shot and killed by a suspected illegal alien, Fox News also reported the agent was killed. In his inaugural address, Trump made a priority to secure the border and crack down on illegal immigration. In November after winning the presidential election, Trump threatened Canada and Mexico with tariffs if they did not act on the border and drug trafficking. Vermont State Police issued a press release that did not provide many details:

Now she has been pardoned by Trump. President Donald Trump, as expected, has signed an executive order revoking the security clearances of 51 intelligence officers who signed a letter portraying Hunter Biden’s laptop as ‘Russian disinformation’ before the 2020 presidential election. The order also authorizes further investigation into those involved in the publication of the infamous letter. It requires the "Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency" to "revoke any current or active clearances" of the listed 51 individuals. Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Directors Mike Hayden, John Brennan, and Leon Panetta, and former National Security Advisor John Bolton are on the list.

There’s a new sheriff in town on immigration. President Donald J. Trump will make and is expected to sign new executive orders that will declare a national emergency at our southern border and allow for the deployment of National Guard units to repel the illegal alien invasion we’ve been subjected to for the past four years. [Tweet] One way to do that is to shore up the legal backbone by having quality immigration judges, which the president wasted no time in reshaping. He fired a slew of them today. Immigration judges are the gatekeepers to asylum requests.

President Trump's State Department transition team has asked scores of bureaucrats to resign from their positions no later than noon on Monday. The focus of the changes seems aimed at gutting the notoriously recalcitrant, hidebound, and, yes, leftist State Department staff and preventing any centers of resistance from forming as Marco Rubio builds his team. The forced departures, aimed at establishing a decisive break from the Biden administration, will result in an exodus of decorated veterans of the Foreign Service, including John Bass, the undersecretary for management and acting undersecretary for political affairs, and Geoff Pyatt, the assistant secretary for energy resources, said the officials,

On January 20, 2025, the “shock and awe” campaign of the Justice Department came to an end as President Donald Trump pardoned 1,500 January 6th defendants. Four years ago, the Justice Department set out to send a chilling message to the nation. In an interview with CBS News a year later, Justice Department official Michael Sherwin indicated that they wanted to send a message with the harsh treatment of defendants. Sherwin explained that “our office wanted to ensure that there was shock and awe … it worked because we saw through media posts that people were afraid to come back to D.C.

Trumponomics has roared back into the White House as President Trump signed a flurry of executive orders aimed at ushering in a “golden age of America” by taking a sledgehammer to the regulatory state and ramping up energy production. Much of Trump’s Day One economic agenda centered around energy policy, where Trump dusted off the playbook to and reversed a spate of Biden-era policies restricting oil leasing, setting goals for electric vehicle output and more. “The biggest factor for inflation is energy. They screwed up my energy policy,” Trump said during a gaggle with reporters while signing executive orders. “We’re going to make a lot of money from energy.

As we all knew would happen, Biden’s last act was to pardon every bad actor in his administration. This is hypocritical, to say the least, given his government’s vindictive pursuit of everyone in the Trump administration, including Trump himself. A Presidential Pardon does not take effect unless the suspect accepts it. That according to a little known, 1915 ruling from the Supreme Court, once accepted, the pardon serves as an “imputation of guilt,” or what’s more commonly known as an admission. Because accepting the pardon is “essential to it’s validity,” I am demanding the Biden family, Dr. Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, the members of the J6 Committee and everyone else Biden unsurprisingly pardoned declare their acceptance of the pardon publicly. Because, according to the Supreme Court, it would also serve as a declaration of guilt.
