Tim Walz’s Home County Picks Trump over Harris

Failed Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris lost running mate Tim Walz’s home county in rural Minnesota to Donald Trump, a defeat that will intensify criticism of her decision to run alongside Minnesota’s progressive governor. Trump won Minnesota’s Blue Earth County 49.6 percent to 48.3 percent, a 5.7 percent shift rightward from four years ago, despite Walz having lived there for two decades and launching his political career in the area. Overall, Harris won Minnesota 51.1 percent to 46.8 percent, an underwhelming performance in a state that gave President Joe Biden 52.4 percent of the vote four years ago compared to Trump’s 45.3 percent. By the time Minnesota was called

China Tim continues to be a mystery in the Harris campaign. He added nothing except a lot of entertainment for us. I hope some journalist gets the urge to thoroughly investigate him. He and Dougie crying together at the concession speech was "touching."

When you're assembling a team, you want everyone to be a net positive. JD Vance was a net positive from the Trump campaign. Tim the Tampon Walz was a net negative for the Cackling Kamala campaign. That all became very clear during the VP debate where Vance used facts, humor, grace and class to expose Walz as the authoritarian, classless, befuddled, lying knucklehead (his own word) that sane Minnesotans had to deal with since 2022. Hopefully when his term is up his kicked out of office. That way he'll have more time to vacation in his favorite country China.

Loose lips sink ships and apparently CNN’s loose relationship with the truth could sink the Cable News Network. In a truly scathing concurring opinion published Thursday breathing new life into Project Veritas’ defamation case against the liberal news network, Judge Ed Carnes with the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals called out CNN for “downplaying the importance of telling the truth in its broadcasts” and used CNN’s own employees to do it. The case involves CNN lying about what got right-wing investigative journalism organization Project Veritas kicked off of then-Twitter. CNN falsely claimed they were banned from the platform (before Elon Musk bought it) for spreading misinformation when, in reality

Within days of Donald Trump being elected as the 47th President of the United States of America, things are changing fast in the Middle East, and there are new developments in the conflict between Israel and Gaza that could expedite a resolution of the war. Qatar has been a critical player in the past year by facilitating hostage negotiations but also by harboring the Hamas leaders who have resided in their country even before the war, living in luxury off of millions of dollars of aid money given by the UN and UNWRA. Now, after over a year of playing soft politics with Biden, the Qataris want out.

"He's really bad being Hitler," my son mused in a text this morning about the following story. President-elect Donald Trump, in a Saturday post to Truth Social, offered the help the Democrat Party pay off the campaign debt of Vice President Kamala Harris. I find that somewhat profound, given the vile bilge and abject lies about the now-president-elect that were parroted throughout the bitterly-fought 2024 presidential campaign. From "Hitler" to "fascist" to "racist" to "white supremacist," the baseless attacks against Trump were never-ending. Yet, here's Trump's offer (emphasis, mine): I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said that while President-Elect Donald Trump “talks like a fascist,” “If he talks about Arnold Palmer’s dick” or swears or “says something that everybody thinks, like there are shithole countries,” he’s not going to get upset over it like he did, “because that is deranged.” Maher began by saying that the “most important thing to say” about the election is that the reason why things are peaceful is because Democrats believe in conceding elections and they’re the party that lost, while Republicans wouldn’t have accepted defeat. He added, “I also just want to say, to my friends on the right…

Republicans are celebrating this week and Democrats are going through various stages of despair and disbelief, wondering what to do next. Over at the NY Times, Ezra Klein has a reminder which seems written for an audience of dejected Democrats but which is probably something Republicans should think about as well. There are really two messages, the first one is that the Obama coalition is dead and won't be coming back. Whatever glue once held that group of progressives and minorities together just blew up. Instead of a black candidate winning as Obama did in 2008, we had a black candidate losing. Instead of uniform rallying together

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — A federal judge on Friday overturned Illinois’ ban on semiautomatic weapons, leaning on recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings that strictly interpret the Second Amendment right to keep and bear firearms. U.S. District Judge Stephen P. McGlynn, of the Southern District of Illinois, issued a permanent injunction he said applies universally, not just to the lawsuit’s plaintiffs. He decided, however, that the injunction would not take effect for 30 days. Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul responded speedily, filing a notice of appeal Friday evening. The Protect Illinois Communities Act, signed into law in January 2023 by Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker, took effect Jan. 1. It bans AR-15 rifles and similar guns,

With President Donald Trump's big win on Tuesday, there's a lot of talk now about a mandate from the people. He so decisively beat Kamala Harris, you don't even hear them talking at this point about any means of contesting the election. It remains to be seen if they try any funny business between now and Jan. 20, 2025. But the American people made the saying "too big to rig" come true with how big the win was. It defied the ridiculous estimations by things like the Selzer poll that suggested Trump was going to lose Iowa. But not only

Hours after former President Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 election, the Biden administration moved Wednesday to limit oil drilling in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Oil drilling had been banned for decades in the Arctic refuge — a pristine natural region in northeast Alaska home to a wide range of threatened species. But a law passed during the first Trump administration required the federal government to hold two lease sales there for fossil fuel drilling. The first was in 2021 and was ultimately suspended and canceled by the Interior Department because of the lack of interest from the oil industry.

Well ... perhaps a few, but so far they seem to be mainly in the Democrat wilderness. One person who nails the problem -- and even part of the solution -- is Julie Roginsky, a Democrat strategist and CNN contributor. Immediately after Joe Biden's valediction at the White House. CNN anchor Pamela Brown tried to throw it to Roginsky by framing Biden's speech as a way to defend himself from finger-pointing over his decision to run for a second term. Roginsky rejected the premise, and indeed that any one person in the Democrat Party should get the blame for the electoral disaster. The whole party has gone off the rails,

Another crushing defeat at the hands of Donald Trump has most Democrats reflecting on “why?” instead of contemplating “what now?” The electoral limits of a purely anti-Trump campaign have been exhausted, and Democrats ought to begin laying the groundwork for a new political identity if they wish to remain competitive on the national stage moving forward. Their path only gets harder. Much harder. According to the American Redistricting Project’s 2030 census projections, Republican-leaning states are set to gain 13 Electoral College votes while Democratic states are slated to lose twelve (setting Pennsylvania, −1, aside as a truly purple one). Places like Texas (+4) and Florida (+3) are experiencing population surges

Now vendors and others who worked on those concerts, which were meant to persuade “low-propensity voters” to turn out for Harris, are reportedly facing the prospect of unpaid invoices.

Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have been slammed by his biographer for 'talking down' to voters in 'tone-deaf and clueless' preaching that harmed Kamala Harris' ill-fated presidential campaign. The 2024 election is over, the last few races are being decided, and for the most part, only the recriminations remain. The Harris/Walz campaign tried everything from "brat" and "joy" to calling Donald Trump a fascist and a Nazi, and they failed. They didn't just fail, they failed catastrophically, losing not only the presidential election by a wide margin in the electoral vote and the total vote count, but they also lost more Senate seats to the Republicans and, it looks like, control of the House of Representatives as well. President-elect Donald Trump will enter office with a clear and undeniable mandate, and with a friendly Congress.

The Justice Department is reportedly narrowing its focus on prosecuting the most “egregious” offenders involved in the Jan. 6, 2021 protest at the U.S. Capitol building. Of particular concern are those who committed felony assaults on law enforcement officers, according to an NBC News report. This development comes after President-elect Donald Trump won the presidential election and prepares to take office in early 2025. The primary reason for the Justice Department’s tighter focus is likely the possibility that Trump will pardon or commute the sentences of many of those who were arrested and are facing prosecution over Jan. 6. His victory has sparked optimism among the defendants and those supporting them.
