The media are hopping mad about Republicans referring to Kamala Harris as a "DEI hire."
Here's some of the teeth-gnashing:
-- ABC News: "Kamala Harris Faces Racial 'DEI' Attacks" -- NPR: "Republicans Call Kamala Harris a 'DEI Hire' as Attacks on Her Gender and Race Increase"
-- Slate magazine: "The DEI Smear Against Kamala Harris."
Apparently, it's racist to notice that DEI exists.
It would be like slave owners denying there was any such thing as slavery, as their slaves served them iced tea and grits. Slavery? What's that?
-- Slate, 1830: "The Slavery Smear Against the South"
The most easily fooled Republican, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy,

I don’t know why the media mavens are upset. For years we have been told diversity is our strength, we must incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion into our lives. And now we dare not speak the phrase! I’m so confused!

She has no idea how hard it is to be president, especially in these times.
She reminds me of foxhole Norm in Band of Brothers. When the shooting starts, she will curl up into the fetal position muttering "I don't know what to do."

Kamala clawed her way into power by using the talent with which all women are born and used it freely. In the elections where she came out on top, she won by having a majority of radical idiots like herself pulling the lever, the same way that people like AOC and Rashida Talib got elected. Election victory not an indicator of their skills, it's a testament to how many stupid voters are out there. Those who invented the DEI concept did it for a reason and Kamala is the perfect poster child.

Biden is DEI material. Remember, 'Don't underestimate Joe's ability to eff things up.' - Barack Obama.

The headline should be more along the lines of "sank to the depths of DEI." There is not one case where DEI ever improved a corporation, an educational institution or a government agency.

Just so I'm clear on this. We're to accept that DEI is necessary and good. And that people benefit from its existence. But once they benefit from it, we are supposed to pretend they advanced via merit, rather than preferential treatment.
Did I get that right?

The Indian-Jamaican-FrenchCanadian made her bones on Willie Brown’s mattress. Decades older, married and the boss of San Francisco Willie paid Kamala with two California Commission jobs, no-show, and a Mercedes Benz. Kamala must be good at something.

The left has tried to shove DEI down our throats for years and now, suddenly, it’s a dirty word? They flip so fast it makes my head spin.

DEI is a magic word that can propel its proponents to heights well above their abilities but don't dare ask any questions about it, just accept it or the search for the logic of it will cause you much confusion.
