CNN’s presidential debate rules are set for Thursday night as President Joe Biden looks to eviscerate his opponent by potentially raising debunked hoaxes. CNN opposes debate moderators live fact-checking Biden during the high-stakes event, network political director David Chalian announced this week. Neither are the moderators permitted to fact-check Trump, Chalian said, although they can correct an “egregious” misstatement “that needs to be checked or the record needs to be made clear.” Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, two extreme Trump critics, are the moderators. It will be up to them to referee the contentious and potentially highest-watched debate in history. Critics question whether Tapper and Bash can host an unbiased and fair debate.

“Do you dispute that there have been more lapses, especially in the last several months?” Stephanopoulos asked.
“Can I run the 100 in 10 flat? No. But I’m still in good shape,” Biden said.
Stephanopoulos pressed Biden, “Are you more frail?”
“No,” Biden said.
Stephanopoulos also pointed to several polls showing Trump is beating Joe Biden in key swing states.

Right before midnight on Thursday, July 4th, a Nashville judge named I'Ashea Myles ruled that the Covenant School shooter's manifesto cannot be released to the public. Her ruling is 60 pages of repetitive language and nonsensical misapprehension of law and fact. She denied the release of the murderer’s manifesto on the basis of the canard of an “ongoing” criminal investigation and a new theory — the writings seized as evidence from the murderer are protected from disclosure because the entire collection is copyrighted.
All those claims are nonsense.
The first claim is complete claptrap. The Covenant School mass shooting took place in March 2023, 15 months ago.
The news of the day is too often serious, and these days, it's far too often upsetting. So when a news item emerges that makes one burst out laughing, it's a pleasant change of pace. When that news item involves one of the notorious socialist "Squad" being taken in by a prankster, it adds a big helping of schadenfreude to the mix.
In the latest, Squad member Cori Bush (D-MO) was taken in by a fake rabbi running a parody anti-Israel X account.

I grew up in an Audubon Society family. These were in the days before the Audubons became overtly political, and that organization's main focus was on, you know, birds. We did migrating bird counts in the spring and fall, and nesting bird counts on my folk's Allamakee County land every spring and summer. You know, after years of defending Biden for virtually everything, his terrible debate performance truly seems to have broken the dam, and given the media cover to report on what they never would have before, as it appears that they are actively trying to push him to drop out of the race.

Good thing Anthony Fauci has never gotten it wrong or lied to us in the past, or else I would be skeptical about his diagnosis that President Biden is ready and raring to go to have a successful second term as president. (X) Aside from last Thursday's debate there is absolutely, positively zero credible evidence that Biden is anything other than perfectly fit and mentally capable to perform the job of being leader of the free world and in charge of thousands of nuclear weapons.

Everyone is so proud. So damn proud!
We just came through Pride Month. Pride parades, celebrations, commercials, and notices were ubiquitous, everywhere, like drag queens. And not just where you might expect them, either.
It seemed nary a crosswalk, sports team, business, or email was unadorned by some form of acknowledgement or touting of the LGBTQ community.
So proud! Couldn’t be any prouder of our gender (whatever it is today) or sexuality!
Because that is what matters, what is really at the very heart of who we are, right? And that’s why they want to make sure youngsters are involved, as well. The younger the better. The younger, the prouder!

It's been a week since President Biden's disastrous debate performance, and his political fortunes only appear to be growing worse by the day. His poll numbers are dropping. Donald Trump is gloating. And Democrats are in a full-fledged panic about the future, some feeling deceived by the president's handlers and angry that his inner circle appears to be blaming everyone but themselves for last week's debacle.
Now it all boils down to two questions: Will Biden will drop out of the race? And who is in the top position to replace him? The answer to that the second question should be a no-brainer — the vice president, of course.
