Longtime Hollywood actor Dabney Coleman, best known for his villainous roles in the 1980s hit comedies “9 to 5” and “Tootsie,” died Thursday. He was 92.
Coleman’s daughter, Quincy Coleman, confirmed he died at his home in Santa Monica, California, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
My father crafted his time here on Earth with a curious mind, a generous heart and a soul on fire with passion, desire and humor that tickled the funny bone of humanity,” she said in a statement.
“As he lived, he moved through this final act of his life with elegance, excellence and mastery,” she continued.

Some of President Joe Biden’s 2020 voters named inflation, foreign policy, and illegal immigration as their main reasons for considering backing former President Donald Trump, instead, in November, The New York Times reported on Friday.
The NYT/Siena College survey released on Monday across Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania found that 14% of those who said they backed Biden in 2020 won’t do so this cycle. The outlet spoke with some of the Biden defectors included in the poll, with some planning to vote for Trump despite qualms with his personality.

Police in California have arrested an illegal alien serial rapist who attacked his victims inside a vehicle described as a “rape dungeon on wheels,” rescuing a woman before he could sexually assault her.
Eduardo Sarabia, a 40-year-old transient from Mexico who is reportedly in the U.S. illegally, was arrested after Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies intervened to save a potential victim from a savage rape in a remote area in the San Gabriel Mountains this week, the day after he was allegedly involved in another sexual assault.
The alleged rapist’s 2015 white Ford transit van had no windows and was “disgustingly outfitted for rape,"

There is a good reason the phrase "It's the economy, stupid," originally coined by Democrat strategist James Carville, made it into the nation's political vernacular; it's because Carville correctly noted that people tend to vote their wallets. Nothing wrong with that; people should vote for what they perceive as their own self-interest, and for most regular folks, that involves getting a good job, paying their bills, buying a house, and putting food on the table. So here we are, in the middle of another presidential election season, and the incumbent's economic record, set against his predecessor/opponent, looks bad.
The April Bloomberg/Morning Consult (hardly a Trump-loving platform) swing-state poll has the figures.

Joe Biden was trying to appeal to the black vote on Friday, delivering remarks at the National Museum of African American History and Culture and speaking at an event later in the day about black fraternities and sororities. One reason for that is that he's hemorrhaging black voter support, while former President Donald Trump is gaining with black voters.
You know what happens when Biden panders to an audience: Strange things and weird claims are bound to follow.
First, there was Joe Biden's claim that he was a lifetime member of the NAACP. [Tweet, video]
Chances this is true? Zero to none.

It happened in February. It’s a video where a teacher, Warren Smith, is seen engaging in a conversation with a student who alleged that J.K. Rowling was transphobic. It quickly went viral. In less than five minutes, Smith, uncondescending, forces the student to rethink his position. The student admits he feels like an idiot after the pair discussed the phrasing and logical trajectory of the debate about the Harry Potter creator who has become persona non grata for her views on gender despite being an ardent leftist. [Video]
Now, Mr. Smith has been fired from his teaching position, where he had devoted four years of his life.

President Joe Biden, who wears bespoke sneakers to prevent embarrassing collapses and whose command of the English language rivals that of most kindergarteners, is in bad political shape. Uncle Joe's reelection campaign faces an uphill climb, given his disastrous handling of the economy -- including a formal recession and four-decade-high inflation -- and his abetting a catastrophic and historically unprecedented invasion on our southern border. Cynicism and a sense of malaise are ubiquitous, and Americans overwhelmingly think the nation is headed in the wrong direction. Monday's New York Times/Siena College poll reflects this: former President Donald Trump currently leads in five of the six most crucial swing states.

We live in a country where crime is out of control. Smash-and-grab mobs loot stores in cities across the nation, illegal aliens are assaulting and murdering wantonly, and antisemitic protesters are running roughshod over college campuses. But thank God that one of the greatest criminal masterminds in history got his due on Friday morning.

Californians have already been living under one of the worst governors in the country for five years now—but what if an even worse one took over the reins when Gavin Newsom’s reign thankfully comes to an end in 2027?
Politico took a look at the 2026 race to succeed him and profiled many of the names who are expected to run, but it wasn’t until deep into the piece that they dropped this little detail:
Vice President Kamala Harris has joked to friends that she may return to California to run for governor if Democrats lose the White House this fall, taking a page from Richard Nixon,

When Joe Biden released a 14 second video with 5 edits in it declaring how he wants to debate Donald Trump twice, my first thought was how pathetic is it that he can’t get through a few lines without needing multiple takes and heavy editing. My next thought was Trump should take him up on the offer, which he did. Then, I had another thought, a better thought. Something that I believe will help Donald Trump immeasurably.

The Marine Corps prevented two people from breaking onto a Marine installation in Virginia on May 3 and turned them over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The two people drove up to the Fuller Road Gate of Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, in a box truck and were stopped by military sentries, Capt. Michael Curtis, a spokesman for the base, said in a statement to Marine Corps Times on Tuesday.
“When asked, the operator of the truck informed the military police officers they worked for a company subcontracted by Amazon and were making a delivery to the U.S. Post Office located in the Town of Quantico,” Curtis said in the statement.

There is little point in analyzing the bogus New York case against Donald Trump from a legal perspective because, of course, it’s not a legal matter. It’s a political matter. It’s a kangaroo court, an attempt to railroad a political opponent to keep him from winning the election against the desiccated, treacherous, corrupt old pervert whom he’s currently pummeling in the polls. But the legal realities are catching up to the people seeking to frame him. This isn’t a case. It’s a scam. A lie. A sham. And a disgrace, not that anything can be a disgrace in a system so free of any moral or ethical considerations.
