Three weeks ago, the media marveled at the meltdown within the Republican Party over the House Speaker self-imposed disaster. Now that the House GOP has managed to stop shooting themselves in the foot, however, the potential for a collapse of the coalition has suddenly become more acute across the aisle. Will Democrats split and collapse over the war Hamas launched on Israel?
As Molly Ball writes for the Wall Street Journal, right now the battle between progressives and liberals, and Jews and everyone else in the Democrat coalition, looks far more serious and much more difficult to resolve:
To many on the left, the Israel-Hamas war is spurring what feels like

It's the Achilles heel of intersectionality.

I am sorry it is anti-semitism but something needs to blow the Dems apart, they are an evil now unto themselves for our country, especially the "squad" and those like them.

Make the election process legal and foolproof in 2024 and the problem will take care of itself by reducing the democrat party to the remnants of leftist fools who now run things in a once-free country. Joe's pathetic performance over the past three years will sink them all.

Will the Pubs help blow them apart, or will they rescue them as they always seem to do?

The Dems have a big tent. They want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, and Methodists.

The problems dems face, which has been true for a while but downplayed by the media, is that they are a "party" of several groups that are an anathema to each other. The dem party leadership keeps control by FEAR, pointing out that the smaller components will have no home or voice in the Republican party and will be adrift between Dems and Republicans. The parties always drift to the center, where the undecided votes are, at Presidential election time to capture enough votes to win.
The danger to dems is that many of the groups COULD find a permanent home and voice in the Republican party. That is certainly true, as they have realized, for Hispanics. It is also true for Blacks, who only remain true to dems because their "leadership" is so corrupt and in the pocket of the dem machine. Trump PROVED that Blacks could do well under Republicans. A second Trump term could significantly shake up the Black coalition. Jews could certainly find a Republican niche and may be forced to by the radical elements in the dems. Hopefully, radical Muslims will NOT find a home with Republicans. We don't want or need them.
Something is always about to "Blow Dems Apart" because they house so many volatile and violent elements. Voters should consider whether such groups are a good element to have in charge of a government? Remember the "mostly peaceful" violence in many dem cities about 4 years ago? That is how dems get things done, in flames.
The dems are attacking and trying Jan 6 defendants for gathering in protest and, for the most part, milling around the capital, breaking some fences and a few doors and windows, and shoving some of the capital police around. The dems that rioted in 2020 caused massive amounts of damage to property and innocent citizens. That's a graphic example of the nature of the two parties. Further, the dem protesters got almost no punishment. The Jan 6 defendants have been tortured. Again, that's how dems function, through gross intimidation and raw government power used against citizens.

FTA: "Israel is the clearest parallel in the Middle East to the same classically liberal values we hold in the US, especially when it comes to self-determination, diversity, and civil rights. Hamas’ charter promises nothing but a brutal theocratic tyranny modeled on its sponsor Iran, a genocide of Jews, and forced submission to Islam for everyone else."
This article does not address how a Muslim-kowtowing Dem Party would play before Independent voters and influence Conservative ones. I think the Dems will lose prestige among Independents and will galvanize Conservatives who see Hamas and their ilk working their way even further into our government.

Sorry, my Jewish sister-in-law on Long Island would still vote for every democrat running on every ballot in every locality in the US if she could.

It seems to me the democrats do not have a moral compass. This makes them a dangerous group.
