If you only paid attention to the mainstream press, you'd be inundated with a constant stream of articles ensuring you how great the economy is. "Look at the jobs market," the headlines have blared while promoting the supposed historic resiliency of our present moment. The full-court press has been so strong that the Biden administration has even taken to labeling it "Bidenomics," a marketing ploy that has proven less than ideal. What looks good on paper, though, is often not representative of the real-world impact. Thus, Joe Biden's current economic malaise, for which Americans are assured they should be incredibly thankful,
I considered retiring in 2020, but now, I'll retire some morning, and be buried after lunch...

"Retirement" is quite the scam. I'm 67, work full time and have no plans to stop. I've seen too many friends waste away when they "retired."

Everything that senile, pedophilic, corrupt Joe Biden has done since day one, enthusiastically guided by a bunch of leftist goons, has damaged our economy and our personal lives in some way. I don't remember one day since January 6, 2021 where I woke up and said that today was going to be better than yesterday. It's as though the overall government plan was to Make America like Kenya Again.

#4, I don’t know who your friends are but I’m 70, retired at 68 and am busier than ever. So are all of the “seasoned” citizens (as Rush called us) that I know.
I also know that I paid $4.29 per gallon to fill up my car this week. On Election Day 2020, I was paying $2.19. (My Mini uses premium gas but gets 38 mpg.)

The protuberances on Joe's chin might point to a new name such as "upside down horns" or Balzac chin (not the French writer Honoré de), or something that sounds that way. My 69th birthday is less than a month away. Officially, I have retired, but try to keep up with what's happening. The body is worn, but the mind is still there. With age, you simplify things.

I retired in 2018 after many years of high-pressure corporate life. Every day for me now is self-enriching. Moving away from a left-leaning big city where social attitudes are declining was a good move for me. I'm never bored with many things to do an enjoy and my wife appreciates me not reading and responding to company emails at 3:30 in the morning. Being a high-paid keyboard jockey is not what life is all about. At this stage in my life, I frankly don't know how I would have any time for a paying job. But I get it. Some people live to work and others work to live. I'm of the latter.

A conversation with my daughter yesterday revealed that most of the CHP (California Highway Patrol) families she knows are living on overtime. Because of the way that career works, with constantly rotating shifts (day to swing to night or variations thereof) from month to month, and constantly changing days off (Tues and Wed off, then next month Thurs-Fri, or if working 4 10 hour shifts/week, 3 days off) the spouses of officers rarely work if there are children in the home. Children require one parent present to provide stability (no children - the spouse usually works.) That means the only way left for a CHP family to increase their income is for the officer to work more time and get paid for it. Or cut back expenses (that doesn’t work anymore.) If anything happens and the overtime dries up …? Additionally, pay raises aren’t keeping up with inflation. This is in California, where gas is over $6/gal and some places over $7/gal. They should move? Does everyone really want all highway patrol officers to up and leave a state? Their job is essential in a society.
This is a snapshot of how inflation is affecting one small segment of people. Bidenomics is slowly financially drowning American families.

Enjoy the next 15 months, boys and girls! Bribeme’e creative fup will dominate. Pray that something salvageable remains for President Trump to build on.

Everyone's standard of living is dropping 5-10% a year. The inflation silently eats away at the private sector, while the government grows ever larger, and freedom is erased.

Assuming Trump were elected POTUS all of America's (and the Worlds!) woes would immediately be placed at his feet. Everything from the high cost of living to our Foreign Affairs disaster would be his fault.
The rabble that is the press would sound like a flock of geese who just saw an eagle fly over.

Zhoa and all leftist policies make it harder for all ends of the economic spectrum, to be sure. But I have friends and relatives who are doing fine in retirement, and Lord willing I will be in that group too. You can't fix in 4 years what has taken 40 to create. I know "Rich Men North of Richmond" was popular, but one thread I was on seemed to be filled with comments of people who worked at Sheetz, and a second job to boot. We have to be careful of too broad a brush.

Yeah, the economy and job growth is so great my wife just lost her job for the second time in 6 months in the mortgage industry. Back on unemployment for the 2d time and back to job hunting.
