Is the Left Happy That They Got Their Wish?

America has been in a veritable cultural revolution since the 1960s. Nearly all our major institutions finally became woke—the administrative state, traditional and social media, universities, K-12, the corporate boardroom, entertainment, professional sports, and the foundations. So the Obama and the Biden administrations finally seemed to have achieved their aims, in what the Obamas once boasted would be the “fundamental transformation” of America into something unrecognizable by its Founders. But what they gave us was nihilism—the destruction of norms, laws, and customs. There is no border, no criminal justice system, no real president any more.

Killing the American Dream Since Joe Biden took office in January 2020 the U.S. money supply has increased over 32% and the inflation rate has risen every month he has been in office. Overall inflation has now reached nearly 20%. Interest rates continue to rise with little effect on inflation. The National Debt on January 1, 2020, was 26 trillion dollars, it is now rapidly approaching 34 trillion dollars and is reported to consume nearly 50% of GDP under the current interest rates. A Budget short fall of 1.4 trillion dollars is predicted for 2023. Gasoline prices have doubled, and food is up over 20%. Credit card debt has reached over 1 trillion dollars, an- all time- high, and can only increase due tothe current economic disaster. Mortgage interest rates are rapidly approaching 8%. The Biden Administration having given Ukraine 104 billion dollars in aid continues to throw money down that rat hole while ignoring domestic disasters like the devastating fires in Hawaii and the chemical spill in East Palestine OH. If these statistics don't scare the hell out of you and make you fear for your country and its future, there is something wrong with your perspective of the current conditions.

What continues to amaze me is that there are middle class adults who do not get paid by the Dim Apparatus who continue to loath Trump and adore Dims. And I guess they will until the equivalent of the first shots of their own firing squads, whether it be financial or societal unraveling. How can that be? Hopefully there’s something wonderful about the Dims I’m too biased to see.

Good point on America's churches, #6. If they had been faithful to the Bible and resisted the communist takeover by their own government, they would have become stronger than ever and been overflowing with members right now. By siding with the devil they are destroying themselves.

#11 Good point. Had coffee this morning with a Christian friend and we both lamented about the condition of the American church. No longer do they point out sin in most churches. It's I'm o.k. and you're o.k. And sermons are feel good sermons. No sermons that address real problems, whether they are social, personal, or societal. Thus, the American churches have lost their salt and are not a threat to the Commies in control of our govt. The American churches of the American Civil War Era were the churches who fought slavery in their sermons (Black Robe Regimens) and were instrumental in winning the War. Where are those ministers today? What do you call a Rino in the Pulpit?

Re: #11 - A blanket statement that churches have not been faithful to the Bible is unwarranted. Churches, made up of some professional staff and congregants are as individual as are people. There are still a lot of good folks attending good churches, even though many churches, their leadership and followers tend to drink a bit too much from the Woke cup. God doesn't abandon those who faithfully gather in his name.

Earlier today the US House of Representatives passed a last-minute spending bill to keep the government funded for an additional 45 days, narrowly averting a government shutdown that would have commenced at 12:01 a.m. The bill, spearheaded by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), now heads to the Senate, where it is expected to pass. With a 335-91 vote, the House approved a 45-day temporary funding measure that excludes border security and $6 billion in funding for Ukraine. The bill includes provisions for disaster relief funds that likely swayed some Democrats to vote in favor.

She's hoping the newly resurrected Clinton Global Initiative (the fake charity but real influence-peddling operation that temporarily closed its doors while being investigated for engaging in pay-to-play fraud) can make a financial killing off all the real killing going on in Ukraine. CGI is ready to help the widowed, orphaned, and suffering people of Ukraine by collecting large sums of money that will go a long way to supporting the Clintons' lavish lifestyles. What remains of their tax-free charitable "services" can then be distributed among their army of cronies desperate for an easy payday.

Most Americans understandably favor the Ukrainian resistance against Vladimir Putin’s Russian naked 2022 aggression. Yet for Ukraine to break the current deadlock—our generation’s Verdun with perhaps 600,000 combined casualties so far— and “win” the war, it apparently must have the military wherewithal to hit targets inside Russia. Such strategically logical attacks might nevertheless provoke a wounded and unpredictable Russia finally to carry out its boilerplate and ignored existential threats. From the last 75 years of big-power rivalries, the operational “rules” of proxy wars are well known.

In George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984,” he portrays English society – renamed Oceania – as a futuristic version of the 1940s Soviet Union. In this invented society that Orwell calls IngSoc – English Socialism – the populace has even less freedom than the Soviets permitted its citizens and life consists only of drudgery, loneliness and hideousness. The novel grips the reader with fear and loathing of a totalitarian future enabled by technological advances and prompts one with the question: “Can it, will it happen here?” It goes without saying that the United States in 2023 bears little resemblance to 1984 Oceania.

According to the Los Angeles Times, one of the laws Newsom signed, S.B. 2, came in response to the Supreme Court’s New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn. vs. Bruen ruling last year, which struck down a gun control law in New York. The new law “seriously limits who can obtain a license to carry a concealed firearm” and details more than two dozen “sensitive” locations where guns cannot be carried. This includes child care centers, public transit, museums, zoos, medical facilities, among many others.

In April 2019, Ukraine was brimming with optimism as it elected Volodymyr Zelensky, a candidate who promised peace, an end to government corruption, and economic prosperity. Fast forward four years: a civil war within the Donbas region turned into a European war raging on Ukrainian territory, destroying the country’s infrastructure, killing hundreds of thousands of its citizens, and creating millions of refugees. Government corruption is an all-time high, and the country is in a state of material poverty. When Ukraine gained independence in 1991, its national debt was $0.4 billion; in 2018, before Zelensky was inaugurated, it was $76 billion,

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron found Trump, 77, his family and his business, the Trump Organization, liable for fraud – the key claim in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ sprawling lawsuit against the defendants. In a 35-page ruling, Engoron sided with James, who argued that Trump made several indisputably false statements in business documents to secure favorable terms
