The Supreme Court’s continuing march
to the right

Major legal rulings that dismantled the use of race in college admissions, undermined protections for LGBTQ people and tossed out President Joe Biden’s student debt relief program marked the end of a Supreme Court term in which the conservative supermajority continued to exert its dominance.
The majority also doubled down on a controversial legal theory that limits the power of federal agencies to take unilateral action.
Meanwhile, the justices rejected a far-fetched argument that would have limited the role of state courts in election disputes and turned away an aggressive attempt to challenge Biden administration immigration policy – both areas in which lawyers on the right might have overreached in their arguments.

I.ve been around for almost eight decades, and until Trump was president we never had a conservative majority on the SCOTUS. It was about time to change things. Live with it, leftists.

The left media seems never to allow comments after their articles. I wonder why.

Typical anti-American writing from the Comedy News Nitwits. If CNN wants the government to have this kind of power they can always move to China or Saudi Arabia.

Tierney Snide [sic] needs to find another line of work. Like being a correspondent for Pravda, or the The Beijing Bugle.

A review by CNN. I guess it is an approved narrative.

How does it feel American leftists? You enjoyed DECADES of left of center SC Justices going your way on numerous decisions that damaged our Constitution, and here you have some recent decisions that assail a few of your "sacred cows," and you clutch pearls and pull the fire alarm. Get used to it, because we're taking the nation back to the Constitution!

Yes, the SCOTUS's, "march," to the "right..." ...As in, "jackbooted thugs'," "marching."
All the rhetoric of the Left, after a time, becomes so tedious. Too bad most readers don't see these tropes and constructs for the subliminal seductions they are, and just accept the image of justices, "marching."
One wearies of the constant insinuating, grinding innuendo that traditional or originalist Constitutional values are somehow, "right-wing," (implication, "wing nut") values.
The impositions the Left proposes as civil rights issues-- statutory protection of mental illness like body dysmorphia, the myth of anthropogenic global warming, the legacy of slavery as an excuse for criminality, the, "born this way," thesis of what are actually lifestyle choices, the "science," of COVID lockdowns, masking, and "vaccination," just to name a few-- are in need of a corrective. The makeup of this court produces reasonability, in place of (ahem), "emanations and penumbra," (if I got that correctly).
The mainstream media and the entire liberal intellectual mandate are fabulists. Truth is that if the Left (read, the now neo-Marxist Democrats) couldn't lie in the media, they'd never win elections, cases, or create law. Fakery, the ingrained habit of virtue-signaling among the lettered class, and reliance on the credulity of disengaged Americans is all they've got.

I read the headline as right vs. wrong, but I don't think that's what CNN meant.

It is important to note the CNN perspective. The SC did not vote to allow a business to refuse to serve someone in a 'protected' class. No. It voted to deny someone in that class from forcing others to violate their personal right to free speech.

complying with the Constitution should not be a political issue.
but the left knows they cannot get their way through Amendments.

Thank you, #8.
I often think of Rush’s “arena of ideas” — which the communists will never win.
And note their use of WORDS (as you pointed out). Thank you.

Agreed, posters #8, 11, and 16. The leftist's laboriously constructed false facade of constitutional rulings by the SCOTUS as being "right wing", and therefore bad or evil, is finally taking somewhat of a hit. Maybe now thousands (millions?) of Americans will see the commie's chicanery for what it is. Then again, we got a long way to go due to decades of indoctrinization in the schools, and the widespread, blatant lies of the enemedia.

Democrats, Liberals and Progressives are not Americans. I sometimes question if they were ever Americans. Democrats are deliberately ignorant and follow their greed before they serve the country. Liberals are sociopaths who dream of utopia they control for their own enrichment. They have no regard for others except as tools. Progressives are the worst. They lie to the first two, possess the same greed and selfishness, but not the detachment. They know they are harming people and revel in it. They are the ones who do the human trafficking and conive toward a World Government that enslaved the rest of humanity.

the only thing that matters is, in the next election, in addition to electing our President, Donald J. Trump to office, he is given a strong majority in the House and a non-RINO Senate majority, if anything lights the afterburners of the demcommies, it will be losing the House, Senate and the Presidency for the foreseeable future

Horrible Justices:
dismantled the use of race in college admissions - equal protection under 14th amendment
undermined protections for LGBTQ people - Freedom of religion/expression 1st amendment
tossed out President Joe Biden’s student debt relief program - illegal violation of legislative power in Article 1 Sec 8
limits the power of federal agencies to take unilateral action - illegal violation of legislative power in Article 1 Sec 8
marked the end of a Supreme Court term in which the conservative supermajority continued to exert its dominance.(i.e. ruled on the basis of what is in Constitution

All they have to do to "march to the right" is follow the constitution. The court had went so far left of that document that getting back to it scares dim-0s.
