When I watch the news and read statements and opinions written by non-left politicians and pundits, I can’t help but notice a number of disagreements, contentious disputes, and quarrels that at times, end up with name-calling and pejorative epithets. Under normal circumstances, lively debate would be a sign of a healthy political system that has incorporated the idea of divided government and checks and balances as a practical remedy against dictatorship, totalitarianism, and similar forms of oppression against the common people. But these days, the political situation is far from being normal as our great republic and its bedrock of time-proven principles are attacked by a well-organized syndicate

Thank you for posting, OP. Special thanks to Mark Andrew Dwyer for expressing the thoughts of so many Trump supporters so well.
FTA: “One of Trump’s remarkable virtues has been making his (and our) adversaries show their true colors. Without his direct tweets and bold approach that can lack political correctness and a sugar coat, we would have no idea that many of our “conservative allies” were actually corrupt, or self-centered, or weak, or cowardly, or outright sellouts, or neo-conservatives, or on the leash of enemies of our republic…or all of the above….. As a result of Trump’s rare talent to make our adversaries unmask themselves, we now know who really wants to preserve America as it has been described in the Constitution, and build on the solid foundations expressed in the Declaration of Independence, and who does not.”
We know everything we need to know (and more!) about Trump - warts and all! We know what he was able to do to Make America Great Again despite the deceitfully contrived & vicious attacks. We don’t know anyone else so we’ll. We cannot rely on the hope that help to save our constitutional republic might come from the same GOP establishment types who promised what Trump actually delivered, or from anyone who aligns themselves with them. They dashed our hopes repeatedly. Surely they could have used their power to accomplish what Trump did. Ask yourself why they didn’t, and why do they despise Trump & befriend & aid his attackers? When someone shows you who they are by this kind of behavior, believe them!

Perot gave us The Clintons - twice !
Imagine how much better this country would be if those clowns had been kicked off the national stage in 1992. Dole would have succeeded Bush in 1996 and we wouldn’t be at each other’s throats as we are now thanks to the divisiveness the Clintons stirred up.

#5 is dead on!
H. Ross Perot gained a whopping 19% of the popular vote in 1992 when it was only expected to be about 10% tops, and that gave BJ Clinton a PLURALITY f the vote as neither Clintoon, Bush or Perot got 50%.
Poppy Bush was a one-termer mostly because he flat out lied to the American People-- "Read My lips, no new taxes" and he cut a 'deal' to go into more debt with the promise that some of the debt money would be spent to 'lower the deficit".
RFJ, Jr. has that kind of 'common sense' appeal, but some of the policies he supports are somewhat "off center".
One thing is for certain SURE, and that is the party his father was involved in during the 1968 campaign no longer exists-- it been replaced with wackos, socialists, and perverts.

My opinion of President Trump is like a story told of President Lincoln. When asked why he continued to support General Grant, he is said to have responded: "I need this man, he fights!"

Have you ever considered that perhaps God was trying to show WTP the depth of corruption then, that so many have come to realize today because Trump was used to reveal it. There were people in power who knew things about our government that were still hidden from US at that point. We were still trusting those in power to do what was needed to be done to protect & preserve our republic. We know differently now. It still remains to be seen whether we will do anything more to correct it now, than we did back then.

Perot's biggest mistake was in putting his presidential run on the shelf for two weeks to take care of his daughter's romantic and wedding problems. Not a smooth move and it cost him. Running the government like a business was the best idea going at the time.

There was no love lost between Perot and Bush the elder. Perot ran to stop him.
