Fort Bragg, one of the largest military installations in the world, was renamed as Fort Liberty on Friday, dropping its Confederate namesake once and for all.
It is the largest Army base by population to be renamed so far with around 29,000 people serving on the North Carolina base.
A ceremony took place in which some veterans said agreed was a small but important step in making the U.S. Army more welcoming to current and prospective black service members. The North Carolina base was originally known as Camp Bragg and named in 1918 for Gen. Braxton Bragg, a Confederate general from Warrenton, North Carolina,

Some college graduates are suggesting there should be a general boycott on repaying student loans, once the current federal loan payment pause ends in the summer. The debt ceiling deal agreed between President Biden and Speaker Kevin McCarthy says the pause, initially introduced as a temporary measure during the coronavirus pandemic, will "cease to be effective" from 60 days after June 30. (Snip) Some graduates responded with anger after hearing the pause would be ending, with a number even suggesting a payment boycott on social media. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have “nothing left to say.”
In a shocking U-turn, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to stop publishing tell-alls, engaging in sit-down interviews, and taking part in large-scale documentaries, according to a report.
“That period of their life is over — as there is nothing left to say,” a source told the Sun of the exiled couple’s plan to step away from the limelight.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sensationally stepped down as senior members of the royal family in 2021 — a decision that was followed by a permanent move to the US amid their ongoing quest for “privacy.”

Kari Lake will replace Mike Pence as the keynote speaker alongside President Trump and other MAGA conservatives at the Georgia GOP convention on June 9.
According to a source, ticket sales have more than doubled, with over 900 sales, compared to the last state GOP convention, which sold just 400 tickets.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The latest bout in the political feud between Donald Trump and Mike Pence is on hold. Both were set to speak at next week’s Georgia GOP convention, but the former vice president is a late scratch.

Dozens of transgender people who live in Florida have turned to crowdfunding appeals in an effort to move out of the state, ABC News reported Friday.
Reportedly, the transgender people who are trying to leave the state of Florida are doing so because of a slew of “anti-LGBTQ+” laws that have been passed in recent years.
Sage Chelf, a 30-year-old “trans woman,” told the outlet that the clinic that prescribed “her” hormone therapy was ending all treatments for patients who identify as transgender.
“I don’t want to go back to the person that I was forced to be at the time,” Chelf told the outlet.

An Arkansas thug who tried to victimize an out-of-town family during their Memorial Day visit to Little Rock got more than he bargained for when an armed mom reacted to being attacked in a parking garage by fighting back, with the pregnant mom pulling a gun and shooting the attacker.
The incident went down at a River Market public garage when the family was packing up after spending the day celebrating the birthday of a seven-year-old girl. They were confronted by the criminal who assaulted them, striking the father several times as he was loading a wagon onto the top of the vehicle.

The Left’s woke agenda is melting into every aspect of Americans’ lives. It has taken over children’s books and movies, the month of June, beer, clothing, and now conservative news. Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner admitted on-air that the Right-leaning network might have to give in to the radical, progressive narrative in response to mandated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies to comply with woke state laws.
Faulkner referred to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) mandates that are beginning to be enforced by various states nationwide— especially in New York {where Fox News is headquartered),

The Navy Secretary touted its ships as “beacons in every port of call” for “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” in a message to the force celebrating Pride Month.
In the message to the force, Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro highlighted Harvey Milk, the first openly-gay candidate to be elected to state office in California, who was also a lieutenant junior grade. In 2016, then-Navy Secretary Ray Mabus named a ship after Milk.Del Toro wrote:

A shocking bit of honesty occurred during CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront on Thursday night as the network's medical analyst recommended President Joe Biden start walking with a cane to prevent his frequent falls. The recommendation was uttered when cardiologist and former member of George W. Bush's medical team Doctor Jonathan Reiner was discussing Biden's fall from earlier in the day during a commencement address at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
"This is about the third time we've seen the President fall. He fell twice going up the steps of Air Force One once in 2021 and once earlier this year," Reiner observed.

The outspoken host of ESPN’s “First Take” and “The Stephen A. Smith Show” podcast is fed up with black-on-black crime and the silence that surrounds it. This week Smith said during his eponymous podcast that he “had no choice” but to talk about it. Lamenting the high number of shootings in Chicago over the long Memorial Day Weekend, Smith had a question for the black community: “When are we going to look at ourselves when it comes to black people being killed in the streets of America?”Smith is right to be angry. Over the long holiday weekend, fifty-three Americans were indeed shot in Chicago alone.
