'Media ‘Defamation?’ Fine. How ‘Bout
The New York Times?

Among the many media gloaters over the Fox News-Dominion defamation settlement, The New York Times seems to be gloating the loudest. But this gloating strikes some history buffs as highly hypocritical. Can Cubans who – back in 1959 – went blue in the face warning the U.S. State Department and CIA that Castro was a closet-Soviet-asset and communist sue The New York Times for defaming them as crooks and liars? Surely their case (the Cuban blue-in-the-faces) has been vindicated much more starkly than Dominion’s.

As I settled into my draftsman-style swivel chair behind my desk at Command Central, safely hidden in an unsuspicious wooded suburb of Indianapolis, I was faced with a quandary soon after I began to search for a suitable subject for an op-ed, the basis of which I already had in mind: the Lying Democrat of the Week.Picking a Lying Democrat of the Week is never an easy task, as one might expect, given the breadth of the field and the depth of the bench. Anyway, this time I decided to exclude Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Karine Jean-Pierre, due to the fact that when their lips are moving, chances are

Fox News’ decision to tap Brian Kilmeade as the host of “Fox News Tonight” at 8 p.m. ET, following the departure of Tucker Carlson, has not been without its challenges. Since his debut last Monday, ratings for Kilmeade’s fill-in show have reportedly dropped significantly with each consecutive day. Amid mounting criticism directed towards Fox News following the exit of Tucker Carlson and a subsequent dip in primetime ratings, host Brian Kilmeade took to the airwaves to defend his network.Speaking on a podcast with host Frank Morano last week, Kilmeade emphasized that Fox was “just as strong as ever,”

Former President Donald Trump recalled his friendship with former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe over the weekend while discussing Abe’s assassination last summer. Trump made the remarks during an interview on Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin” with host Mark Levin when Levin noted how close the two men were and that they had “a lot of correspondence between” them.“He was a handsome man. He was a dignified man. He loved his country,” Trump said. “He was somebody I just got along with great, he loved golf. We played golf. He — we played with Ernie Ells

effrey Epstein's newly-released private calendar revealed he had scheduled meetings with a slew of prominent individuals, including the current CIA director, after he was convicted as a sex offender. The documents contain emails and scheduled meetings with now-CIA Director William Burns, Bard College president Leon Botstein, Obama's White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler and professor Noam Chomsky. The meetings were scheduled between 2013 to 2017 after the pedophile had served time in jail in 2008 for sex crimes involving a teenage girl.

Washington, DC, needs an emergency supply of snazzy sandwich boards announcing, “Will Legislate for Food.” A hunger crisis on Capitol Hill gave congressional leaders no choice but to trample the Constitution. Thanks to a backroom deal, House members can now claim automatic reimbursement of $258 a night for lodging expenses and $79 a day for meals in DC — even if they don’t spend a dime. But though House members can pocket up to $34,000 a year in additional tax dollars, it’s not a pay raise because politicians are entitled to use false labels for everything they do.

The annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner is traditionally filled with out-of-touch liberal elites in the media, Hollywood & politics rubbing elbows in fancy ball gowns and tuxedos, while they thumb their nose at middle America. While that was true this year, there were some moments that enraged liberals and delighted conservatives, with emphasis on the word some. It was overall a conservative bashing session filled with sanctimonious lectures from liberal reporters about how important their jobs are. Saturday night’s dinner was hosted by government-funded National Public Radio’s Tamara Keith

The interview, the latest installment of the in-depth On the Hill video series from Breitbart News, was taped in mid-March just after McCarthy released some security tapes from the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol to then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson. The chairwoman of the Republican party has warned that candidates will need to address the abortion issue 'head on' in order to win back the presidency in 2024. Ronna McDaniel said on Sunday that Democrats have turned the issue of abortion into a rallying cry following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade last summer, while Republicans have tried to steer clear of the issue. But if Republican presidential candidates instead challenge Democrats on their beliefs, the party may be able to win back swing voters, McDaniel said on FOX News Sunday.

A government watchdog filed a public records request to receive emails between Secretary of State Antony Blinken's private email and a government address. Evidence from Hunter Biden's laptop showed communications between himself and Blinken when he served as deputy secretary of state in the Obama administration. Emails on the laptop reviewed by the Washington Examiner showed that Blinken and Biden corresponded and set up personal meetings using Blinken's private AOL email address when he served as deputy secretary of state. Email threads were then forwarded to the government address of Blinken's then-personal assistant, Linda Landers, so she could schedule the meetings.

DENVER – Your lawn may be the next climate change battleground. And parks. And playgrounds. Regulators and clean-air advocates are increasingly eyeing the pollution emitted by small gasoline engines used to power lawn mowers and leaf blowers as they seek to blunt climate change. Advocates say using a commercial gas leaf blower for an hour produces emissions equal to driving from Denver to Los Angeles. Among cities and states with bans or limits: California; Burlington, Vermont; Vancouver, Canada; and Washington, D.C. While many critics first attacked the small engines for the noise they make, experts say these small, two-stroke engines release

Before his death in 1964, Ian Fleming wrote 14 books about James Bond, and the literary franchise, just like 007 himself, has proved unkillable. Writers from Kingsley Amis to Anthony Horowitz have taken up the mantle and produced Bond novels. But we’ve had to wait until now, with Kim Sherwood’s new novel “Double or Nothing,” for the Fleming estate to pass the baton to a woman. Although it would be misleading to say that this latest Bond novel is actually about Bond. More than an addition to the canon, “Double or Nothing” is an expansion of the universe, and an

The Supreme Court decision last year in Dobbs v. Jackson overruled Roe v. Abortion is now rightly governed by the people’s elected legislators, and, sadly, to some extent by unelected bureaucrats, but, in any event, not by judges. The Dobbs decision was leaked a couple of months in advance of its issuance.

Ever since the 69-year-old conspiratorial activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. declared his candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination last week, a curious new category has appeared among the commentariat—libertarians and/or right-of-center journalists expressing strange new respect for a Hugo Chavez–admiring scion of the Establishment who has serially fantasized about throwing his political opponents in jail. (snip) Recasting RFK Jr. as a foe of censorship and potential tamer of government requires ignoring what he has been and imagining things he'll never be. (snip) So is the enemy of your enemy your friend? Depends on your tolerance for unlikely conspiracy theories, and your comfort level in Kennedy's proposed punishments for alleged perpetrators.

On Monday, Hunter Biden will finally make it to Arkansas. The Natural State is not a Biden family favorite but there is one thing that would ordinarily be an attraction: Biden’s daughter Navy Joan. In the Biden family, the four-year-old girl remains “she who must not be named” literally. Not only has President Biden refused to refer to her as a grandchild or even include a Christmas stocking with the other children, her father Hunter is fighting to prevent her from using the Biden name. Indeed, the only reason that Hunter is coming to the same state with his daughter is to seek to limit his child support.

Right now, Joe Biden’s biggest enemy in the 2024 election is Joe Biden. If you are an incumbent president, there are many possible recipes for success in re-election—but slow and declining economic growth topped with persistently high inflation is not one of them. The economic news is ugly for the country, which will get over it eventually, and even uglier for Joe Biden, who may not get over it at all. After two consecutive quarters of “Don’t Call This a Recession!” GDP contraction, growth had got up to more than 3 percent in the third quarter of last year, and then it declined to 2.6 percent in the next quarter
