Fox “parting ways” with Tucker Carlson was an insane move by any standards of business, given how popular his show was on the network.
As we noted, it didn’t seem to have affected Carlson’s mood, as he seemed to be having a good time with his wife down in Florida. He also put out a video on Twitter. While he didn’t talk specifically about the “parting of the ways,” I think he was making it clear that he wasn’t going to be silenced. But it is affecting Fox. They’ve taken a huge hit in just one day since the news broke on Monday.

Tucker will survive, on his own, at his own Media Empire. Fox News is circling the Media drain along with MSNBC and CNN. The Murdochs shot themselves in their feet. Not too bright one might say. No joke.

Jesse has been absent the past 3 nights. Fox must be up against near record low ratings this week in the 7-8 PM Eastern time slots

#2-Jesse and wife just had a baby. He will be gone for 2 weeks. I think this is week 2.

The ending: “ …Actions have consequences, and Fox should be listening. If they’re not and they don’t change course, they may be as finished as any of the other liberal media outlets.”
They can “change course” all day long. The great majority of us are done. Censorship by any other name is still censorship.

Fox doesn't actually care. They own the pipeline.

Ratings will get even worse when people get around to updating their dvr to no longer record that time slot.

Rush Limbaugh wasn't in a "pipeline". Traditional media is evil. Tucker is better off for sure.

As expected, business is dependent upon the people who support it. Judging by the people in my circle who dropped Fox like a maggot-infested apple, their break with Tucker is going to very expensive for them. The Murdock name is now Mud. I will miss a few of the other personalities like Jesse, Gutfeld and rising star, Jimmy Failla, but that's the price of having scruples. Censorship is what communists do.

I had read that Rupert was looking to unload Fox News. If so, you would think he would want to do so when ratings high, not tanking. Am I right?.

I used to watch Jesse and then Tucker every night. I now found I have a lot more free time. Fox is anathema to me now. I wish some of the other big-name hosts had the courage and integrity to resign in solidarity with Tucker.

Murdock can't spend all his money in two lifetimes. FoxNews was/is just a toy for him. He will either sell it because he's tired of the whole "conservative" pretense or turn it into another NPR lookalike.

perhaps Rupert has little confidence in his boys running this when he has left this vale of tears. i imagine there have been a lot of fights.

The Murdochs may not really give a hoot at the moment about what happens to Fox News as it is being reported that they want to sell that drowning network. There is nothing to keep them from selling Fox News to a Chinese company run by the Chinese Communists, if that were to happen it would not be funny, but chances are Biden and his crew would welcome and give those new Fox News owners a big tax break to get them started in propagandizing America!

Philsner just sparked a great idea: with our beloved Rush gone, why NOT revive the EIB network with Tucker?

Fox agreed to pay Dominion 787 million. Now another voting machine company, Symantic or something, has a similar 2.7 billion suit against them. And Fox now has legal action from Carlson coming. A lot of speculation has been made, but as a practical matter, Carlson had an employment contract that includes terms for any termination, and any termination will require the lawyers to negotiate the settlement, and how, when, and how much any payments are to be made. As for the speculation on a possible sale, who would buy Fox News with all this litigation, their number one star just terminated, and their audience boycotting the network? I don't think so.

We had a routine. I'd walk the dogs, return home precisely at 6 (Mountain), my wife had dinner we'd eat and watch Tucker (the only TV I'd watch all day). Now she watches Wheel, I eat quickly and go do other things.
