Rep. Kevin McCarthy, who is expected to be the next House speaker, gave Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas an ultimatum: resign or face an impeachment inquiry. “Our country may never recover from Secretary Mayorkas’ dereliction of duty. This is why today I am calling on the secretary to resign,” McCarthy said. “If Secretary Mayorkas does not resign, House Republicans will investigate every order, every action and every failure. And we will determine whether we can begin an impeachment inquiry.”
The stark warning is a significant change in tone from McCarthy

McCarthy's talking tough....meaning he doesn't think he has the Speakership clinched. If he gets the chair, he'll turn back into a RINO.

#2 - So eager to talk tough that must have forgotten that he's already on record as saying there will be no impeachments when the Republicans take the House.

Kevin's tough talk had better be backed up with ACTION when / if he assumes the Speaker's Throne, if he doesn't there might be a couple of million people who will remind him of his speechifying

Dollars to cents Myorkas will serve out his term. Democrats don’t go away and Republicans don’t have the guts.

Well, talk is cheap but let's see some action to back it up. The American people are tired of being spoonfed a bunch of meaningless words, only when we are seeing some kind of dedicated action to remedy a host of Dem instigated problems that have ruined this country will at least some form of faith begin to be restored. Until then we will believe it when we see it!

Try not to screw it up Republicans. No one wants to see a Dem speaker in a Republican House.

I would not count on McCarthy following through. He’s not what he seems and I doubt once he has the gavel in his hands that he will come down hard on the Biden administration. Frank wouldn’t like it and he knows once he sits in that big chair, no one is going to push him out.

One of the reasons politicos hate Trump was he followed thru on what he said he would.
I can't remember any politician actually following thru with their promises once they were elected. McCarthy is not Trump.

Conservative Patriots to McCarthy - Resign from Congress, Traitor. McCarthy is demonstrating how much contempt he has for us if thinks his fake tough talk is going to fool us. He really thinks we are stupid marks. If he is elected Speaker by the usual gang of republican congressmen who are very adept in the Art of Betraying the voters who elected them to Congress, (Odds are 99 to 1 McCarthy will be the next Speaker), he will do absolutely nothing against his best buds in corruption, the Communist Death Democrats.
Republican Save our Republic Scorecard so far: We have McConnell who will continue as Senate Minority Leader in spite of his sabotaging republican candidates and losing us the Senate. The greedy, corrupt, lying, Rona McDaniel, who also sabotaged republican candidates, looks likely to continue at her well paying job as head of the Republican Party (how in hell did this beefy, melon head, venal, troll ever get to her position?) and we will have the worthless, stealth democrat McCarthy as Speaker. So the question must be asked - What in hell good is the republican party at this point for anything? Expiration Date has been reached in this election.
The definition of stupid is doing the same thing over and over again, like donating and voting for the republicans, and expecting a different result, like keeping promises made to We, the people, to fight like hell for our Freedoms and Republic when these republicans get into office, which time and again the republicans join hands with the Communist Death Democrats to impose a totalitarian rule over us.
No more voting for the lesser Evil (republicans) because in the end we are still voting for Evil. Time to leave. Now where to we go to continue our fight?

Resign OR be investigated? Seems to me that crimes should be investigated whether you've resigned or not.

Congress writes the laws, mostly open ended allowing the executive to make rules and policies. None of this is the fault of Congress From 2016 to ‘18 there was a chance for reform. Nothing. If Mayorkas is impeachable, he was dutifully following the executive’s direction. The Senate won’t convict anyways.

Is "Conservative Patriots" now a cover phrase for serial Republican bashers? Is ordering McCarthy to resign any different than supporting a democrat majority in and control of the House? Nice democrat strategy.
