Former President Donald Trump should announce his election bid for 2024 on the Tuesday after Labor Day. Here’s why.
Trump is an asset—and not, as beltway insiders like to assert—a liability on the campaign trail, especially in key Senate and gubernatorial races. Donald Trump revitalized a crumbling, corporatist Republican Party and began making it his own America First party, which reinvigorated it. He turned it into a party that welcomed the working class, Hispanics, black Americans, and Asian Americans. Now these groups are voting red, or at least leaving the Democratic Party, in staggering numbers;

This is a true test. If he cares about the midterm elections and the future of our nation, he will stay quiet. If he goes ahead an announces, it will reinforce his image as an implacable egotistical attention seeking narcissist.

There are certain rules and restrictions that apply to declared Presidential candidates. Why suffer that? Announce but don't announce. That will be best of both worlds.

Trump knows what is best. Personally, I think he should continue teasing and stay silent to keep the democrats awake at night and sick with worry. Either way, he deserves his delayed second term if only to show Joe how much of a failure democrat/communist policies are.

First, he would hand the Democrats what they desperately want.
Second, he would remove any chance of having Republicans investigate what happened since 2016.
Third, he would freeze the roughly $100 billion he has in his campaign chest - Why?
Fourth, who are all of these folks pushing this idea? Presume they are being funded by the Progressive Democrats who are funding other candidates to run against, particularly in the Senate.

The author is a former George W. Bush writer, so his "advice" for Trump should not be taken at face value. Besides, the 2018 midterms in the middle of the Trump administration, were a disaster contributing to Biden's installment.

No, he shouldn’t. Don’t give the Democrats any ammunition. They’re trying to goad him into announcing. We need to focus on this administration’s massive screw-ups, especially inflation.

Just the opposite. A lot of people might vote differently if that is the case. Let's see first what the midterm election brings.

Actually the opposite it probably the case. Trump should wait until the last minute so the commies will have less time to lie.

Nope. Let the Deep State stew before 45 announces. It will do them good to be very, very concerned.

Another pom-pom squad captain doing the splits for FPDT. If one reads the accounts and transcript of his speech in Washington on Tuesday, one might consider the value of such an announcement in terms of the November election. Some might think such ideas as rounding up the homeless and shuttling them off to tent camps "in the outer reaches of the cities" a fine idea. "Bring medical professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, drug rehab specialists, build permanent bathrooms and other facilities." Kinda sounds like something Chairman Xi would do to help out those Uighurs.
Now, some might pause here to give thought to "due process". Before being committed one is entitled to a hearing with representation. And if you're a Trump-endorsed candidate, expect the press to ambush you with "Do you support Federal authorities putting the homeless in internment camps, as Mr. Trump recently suggested?" And you respond...what? Yes? "Candidate Supports Homeless Round-Up". If no, the headlines scream "Candidate Splits with Trump!" Take your pick. You've just lost control of your campaign.
Or, how about giving the President the authority to mobilize your state's National Guard...over your governor's objections. "If we have a weak, foolish and stupid governor that is allowing the kind of things that you saw to take place, we have to be able to go in and we have to be able to clean out the mess. And it has to be cleaned out quickly, strongly. It has to go very fast." State's Rights, or Federal intervention?
Won't that be wonderful when the next Obama or Biden takes office? Oh sure, there will be Constitutional safeguards...like the Patriot Act has. Nothing to worry about.
Read the transcript of the speech. This is more than "mean tweets."
What else might he say yet before November?
