President Biden revived his frequently ridiculed stage whisper Friday while addressing the US Naval Academy’s Class of 2022, stooping over his microphone to remind them that “I’m your commander-in-chief.” Biden addressed the graduates for approximately 25 minutes during the outdoor ceremony at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, during which he slammed Russian President Vladimir Putin over his three-month-old invasion of Ukraine.(Snip)
The phrase “Finlandize,” which the president mispronounced as “Fingalize,” refers to Finland’s Cold War-era practice of treading lightly in international politics so as not to upset its near neighbors in Moscow. The president was speaking about Finland and Sweden applying

Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, on Friday said he has been lied to by law enforcement about the facts around Tuesday's Uvalde school shooting, and said he was 'livid'. 'I was misled,' Abbott said on Friday, addressing a press conference in Uvalde.'I am livid about what happened. I was on this very stage two days ago, and I was telling the public information that had been told to me in a room just a few yards from where we are write now. In what conservatives will surely label a “sell-out” by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), the Senate Minority Leader on Thursday “encouraged” Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) to work with Senate Democrats to “find a consensus on some legislation to respond to the shooting in Texas.”
Translation: Gun-control legislation.
As reported by CNN, McConnell met with Cornyn early Thursday and encouraged the senior senator from Texas to begin discussions with key Democrats, including Sens. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, to see if they can find a middle ground on legislation.

Addressing the mass-shooting that claimed 21 lives in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday, Department of Public Safety Director Steven McGraw acknowledged Friday that responding officers waited too long to breach the classroom where the killing took place.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference held at the scene of the shooting, McGraw said that the on-scene incident commander, Chief of Police Daniel Rodriguez, made the decision to fall back and wait for U.S. Border Patrol Tactical Teams to breach the classroom.
McGraw said the decision to delay entering the classroom was mistaken. According to Texas active shooter doctrine, officers are required to make an immediate breach

Left-wing critics are demanding that HBO “cancel” Bill Maher after accusing the HBO “Real Time” host of delivering an anti-transgender monologue on last Friday’s show. David Kilmnick, who heads the nonprofit LGBT Network, wrote an article in Advocate magazine on Wednesday titled: “Bill Maher Has Gone Too Far With Anti-LGBTQ+ Comments.” Maher was blasted for saying that “we’re literally experimenting on children” by providing them with puberty blockers and other treatments aimed at facilitating gender transitions.
He also said that transitioning was becoming “trendy.” Maher hit out at Chase Strangio, a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union, who cheered efforts to ban a book

As soon as this weekend, President Biden could announce a plan to cancel $10k in student debt per borrower, according to WaPo, citing three people with knowledge of the matter. Biden could make the announcement at the University of Delaware's commencement ceremony on Saturday. The plan would apply to Americans who earned less than $150k in the previous year or less than 300k for married couples filing jointly. On April 6, the White House announced it would extend the pause of federal student loan repayments through August 31. It wasn't clear if the administration would extend the moratorium beyond this. Our betters in the World Economic Forum (WEF) gathered in Davos this week to decide what’s best for the planet and everyone on it (especially themselves). But Stéphane Bancel, CEO of Moderna, was sad. He was disappointed that the plebs don’t want his company’s revered COVID-19 vaccines.
“It’s sad to say, I’m in the process of throwing 30 million doses into the garbage, because nobody wants them,” lamented Bancel as he participated in a panel discussion. “We have a big demand problem.” Actually, that sounds like a big over-supply problem to me, but what do I know?
Bancel elaborated on the outreach efforts the pharma giant was making to “every country,”

Not one inch.
The GOP better not give up one single inch on gun freedom.
The Democrats are giddy. They were hoping that SCOTUS putting the kibosh on kid killing was going to save them from annihilation in November. That did not work – Americans were less interested in preserving a non-existent right to snuff out a life two minutes from crowning than in $6 gas. But this s*****g’s murder rampage in Texas has given them new hope, they think. All the GOP has to do is be spineless and stupid.
So, they’re feeling pretty confident.

President Joe Biden seems to have told a football fib during a speech Friday at the U.S. Naval Academy, claiming he was accepted to the vaunted military institution back in 1965, but declined because future NFL Hall of Fame Roger Staubach blocked his path to playing for the Midshipmen.Biden said he instead went to the University of Delaware, which is true. But he never played varsity football there, and there’s no evidence he ever declined a spot at Navy. The years don’t come close to matching up, either. It appears to be the latest example of Biden trying to fit in with a crowd of people he’s addressing by saying
