FTA: Yet breathless scribes at The New York Times, The Washington Post, BuzzFeed, New York magazine and elsewhere hyped this nonsense for months, all taken in (most, willfully) by the equivalent of catty junior-high whisper campaigns. Some still can’t let go. Don't forget cnn and msDNC they were Trump collusion 24/7 365.

The absurd part of this hoax was the number of establishment Republicans who bought into this (or who were in on this) from the get go. Many RINOs were betting on President Trump being gone within a few months after inauguration. This was definitely a Deep State hit job probably planned after President Trump became the party nominee.

The FBI paid Steele handsomely for the bullshit. What a bunch of idiots.

I don't think reporters and TV journalists are capable of being embarrassed. If they have any feelings about this, it is being PO'd that they were caught telling lies.

First, let's remember that the SOURCE of all this was a carefully laundered path of deception from HILLARY CLINTOON. Every time this criminal hack raises her boozy, ugly face, someone should whack-a-mole her into submission. Second, do not for one minute suppose that many of the government groups that used this information believed it was true. The Deep State used it as cover. For the Mueller farce. For the 2018 and 2020 elections. For 2 impeachments. For a drumbeat of other operations meant to off foot and block Trump. As long as the core lie could be maintained, it was a useful tool. The media played their part, publicly trusting in it unquestioningly, despite certain realization by many of them it was absurd and flimsy gossip. They angrily bristle when called "fake news". THIS is why they are accurately labeled as "FAKE". The same applies to numerous topics since BO was elected. The accurate default assumption about news from the media is "fake until proven otherwise". The interesting things coming out is how carefully the layers of deception were protected. Who provided the information was hidden. They were hacks who made stuff up. Where was the paper trail? It was first hidden with a layer of lawyers providing confidentiality. The lawyers then hired Steele, who hired the losers. Steele "forbidden him (Danchenko) to write notes" so there was nothing to find by investigators. The whole process was not only crafted to create disinformation, it was robustly tailored to be opaque to investigation and especially to avoid linkage to Hillary. If she had won the presidency, all of it would have been completely and permanently buried. Now her poop trail has been uncovered. "Russiagate, in short, was the scandal of a generation — a media and government one." Yes, AND a political one. Also mentioned and deserving of repetition is that BO was briefed on the Clintoon action. We can be sure that the actions taken by the agencies under his control to support and continue the lies were done with BO's awareness and tacit approval. The dems and media are neck deep in this Clintoon sewer.

We knew from day one that it was a fraud because it was out of character for Trump. But the dems convince themselves to believe fictions about their political opposition so they attach themselves to the wildest junk. Especially since much of the accusations seem real to them because they are doing it themselves. They create a fiction and accuse their opponent of it. Then justify their own actions because they aren't as bad as what the other guys are doing. And they forget that "what the other guys are doing" is a fiction they made up from scratch. And then when they get caught we hear the excuse "well everybody does it". No. We don't.
