Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley has written that a special counsel must be appointed to investigate the Hunter Biden case because President Joe Biden has denied any wrongdoing by his son, and has taken steps to influence investigations. This past week, the Washington Post and CNN joined the New York Times in admitting that the Hunter Biden laptop, which was revealed in October 2020 and suggested that he made money from peddling access to his father, was indeed authentic. The admissions came nearly a year and-a-half after media organizations joined the Democratic Party and former intelligence officials

The Special Counsel is nothing but a ruse to hide the evidence from the public. I would rather see all the evidence, and the worthless nobody go free.

That's not going to happen and everyone knows it. Hunter is a democrat. There will be no investigation.

Can you imagine if this had been Trump's son? There would already be 14 special counsel investigations going appointed along with a large brass band and daily fireworks.

Special Counsels take years to gather evidence. By then FJB will have completed his mission, to completely destroy America. Can't trust the FBI, they're broken and nothing but a political branch of government. The Capitol Police are the same. The DC police are the same. The Democrats, no way are they going to honestly investigate FJB. The Republicans, will make it a circus. Who is left? The alphabets, seriously? Can't think of any agency one can trust.

Great, just great. Maybe in 2025, or later, we'll get to see almost fully-redacted emails. Then we'll hear a slew of, "I can't recall".

"...Hunter had nothing else to sell but influence." He had a greedy and grasping and equally lascivious father to oblige.
Meanwhile, our Republic is plummeting to the depths of corruption and destruction amidst swarms of illegals from around the world. Why? Why is Biden doing this? Is hiding his treacherous behavior the top priority in his life?
Are there any Dems aware enough, patriotic enough, CARING enough about even their own lives and their posterity to step forward to save the Republic and its "territorial integrity" which Harris says all nations ought to have and to protect?

Mr. Turley, you know better. There will be no special counsel because Hunter Biden and people like Hillary Clinton are immune from laws the rest of us are subject to. (sorry about ending a sentence with a preposition)

I agree so long as the special counsel doesn't turn out to be a symphasizing rabid demonrat.

Just find Hunter not guilty and get it over with. D-RATs are above the law, we all know that but according to some RINO governors it's Trump that's the problem! That darn Trump!

Just like the business partners of Paul Manafort, Tony Podesta and Greg Craig. One goes to prison, two do not. Can we name what they do not have in common?

How about this? What if Brandon's poll numbers are so low, and his presidency is such a disaster, that Dems want him out of office too? To make the way for his successor? Using Hunter would be a perfect way to do it.

you might have something there, Jonathan but any appointment to a Special Counsel will have to wait until our duly elected President, Donald J. Trump is, once again, administering our country, which he did so very well and we all miss him, exponentially

Special prosecutor or not, the real question is whether or not any part of the US government is even capable of an honest investigation that exposes any wrongdoing, and brings any perps to true justice.
Consider that Hillary has not yet answered for the smashed phones and laptops, and 30,000 emails, all of which were under subpoena when she destroyed them:
Consider that no one has been held accountable for the Benghazi debacle, which was most likely blowback from Obama's transfer of weapons to Syrian rebels:
Consider that no one has been held accountable, some five years later, for the multi-level "Russian Collusion" hoaxes (Durham seems to be making progress, but no one has yet even been indicted):
Consider that no one has been held accountable for the massive election fraud of 2020.
Consider that no one has been held accountable for the massive scientific fraud surrounding the govt's management of the Covid pandemic (e.g., Fauci has yet to even discuss natural immunity).
etc etc etc
Why on Earth does Turley think that a special prosecutor

Biden needs to hire Trey Goudy to investigate the situation. He'll fix things right up for Hunter and the rest of the family.

A Special Counsel would get in the way of a GOP Congress having their own public hearings.
Better to get in all out in public to help in 2024 campaign.

I disagree...WE already have a special counsel...it's called the American people...who have the information regarding hunter's malfeasance and his betrayal of our country to our enemies...WE know nothing will be done by Washington...so WE will empty DC and fill it with real Americans....that's how WE get justice...

Well Garland to give the special counsel appointment great stature with the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat political base, could well appoint Barack Obama as special counsel. As Obama is certainly available, as it is said that Obama is not doing anything else these days. No doubt Obama would certainly give Garland, Biden, and crew in the Department of Justice and White House a quick decision right before the upcoming November election, based upon blaming the Russians and Trump that Biden and his media propagandists would be happy with. Why not, as that would be keeping with the state of corrupt DC politics these days?
