Russian President Vladimir Putin seems to be doing all he can to start a nuclear showdown with the NATO alliance over his genocidal war in Ukraine. But if he gets his wish, he could inadvertently set off a chain reaction of events we will be unable to control, an atomic Pandora’s box no one can close once it is unleashed. His latest actions not only should create doubt that he is indeed rational — he might even be suicidal. In striking a staging ground for foreign arms shipments a mere 15 miles from the Polish-Ukraine border, Putin is signaling that weapons like Javelin and NLAW anti-tank busters, Stinger missiles and other arms

Pat Buchanan wrote a piece many years ago about a CIC that would fold for "world peace" if ever we were boxed in by their own policies. Looks like we got that guy.

Ordinarily, we would rely on our Intelligence agencies to assess Putin's mental status.
Unfortunately, the agencies are focusing on pronoun selection for perverts. They also are squandering millions of dollars on fat retired professors in England, sitting in pubs with friends, spinning tales of intrigue.
And our intelligence agencies are not even embarrassed by that.

Harry! Stop! We all have been at the precipice for a nuclear exchange since the late 40's. MAD keeps our fingers off the launch keys. Western weakness and laughing off Putin's security concerns for his people plus other political and economic forces wanting the Ukraine to join Nato brought Russian Military forces now about to encircle Ukraine cities in order to force regime change. What is to stop them Harry? The Russians have no need for WOKENESS/PC/ROE! No elbow room for it! They will either capture or destroy any foreign shipments of arms meant to bring them harm. EZ stuff Harry!

Given that Putin is in a desperate position, losing a war and what's left of his career at risk and given that we have a US president who is as far from rational as a rabid rat and given that Kim Jong Un has just perfected his nuclear payload delivery missiles by giving them an 8,000 mile potential range, I would surmise that we are closer to nuclear war than we have ever been. Now might be a good time to dust out your 1950s era bomb shelter and restock the food and water.

What a pile of overwrought rubbish this article is. "We are now at a point where a NATO-Russia clash is looking more like annihilation than negotiation. And that should terrify us all."
Russia destroyed Ukrainian weapons because...well, see, there's this war on - American politicians in the past would call it a "conflict", like Korea or Vietnam, or an "intervention". Russians could die or be hurt if these weapons reached the field. This dump was 15 (or 12) miles from the Polish border - not one foot across the border. So, what's the whoop? How is this in any way "irrational"?
The nuclear fear porn is getting very thick. What d'ya, Joe? Show some leadership. Let's attack Russia to save Ukraine and maybe your 10 percent.

I do not believe any of the premise for this article. Putin has gained what he wanted. He will now deal with creating a new world order of East and West. The WEF and their quest for world domination is dead.
