Donald Trump, the Right President at the
Right Time

Of the 46 presidents of the United States, there are three that can be considered indispensable to the nation’s enduring existence as a free people; they are George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Donald Trump. Washington, without whose character and leadership the nation as we know it would not have been established; Lincoln, who preserved the Union and restored American society by abolishing slavery; and Trump, who has potentially rescued the country from an irretrievable headfirst dash into a permanent one-party socialist oligarchy eventuating in an inevitable fracturing of the Union.

Trump was a very good example of successfully governing for the people, whereas the democrats primary focus is 'not letting a crisis go to waste,' in order to forcefully coerce the people into their depressing socialist wonderland.

Yes. Trump showed us that you can, too, get something done for the people. We really didn't know how much a president can do - and it is even clearer BECAUSE he was fighting everybody. And yet, look what a difference. We didn't know. And now we do. Also, we looked into voting stuff because of 2020, and look at what we are finding. And. And. He showed what pro-life really looks like. What can be done.

Okay, let's carve the Mt. Rushmore of PDT's term: Fauchi, Mad Dog, Rex, and Miley would be top-of-the-head nominees. Maybe toss in Sessions, Bolton, Gorka...add your own to the list. Perhaps a few Supreme Court nominees. Mike Pence. Comparisons to Washington and Lincoln are a bit overwrought.

Sorry, but I can't be nearly as optimistic as the writer. I see President Trump as little more than a speed bump in the relentless downward slide to socialist totalitarianism that may well become inevitable after three more years of whoever is manipulating Biden. Sure, President Trump clearly demonstrated what COULD be done, but did the Republicans learn the lesson? The "transformation of a feckless Republican Party into a viable and resolute opposition" almost made me choke on my oatmeal. Are McConnell and McCarthy still the so-called "leaders" in the Congress? Where is the evidence that Republicans are providing any more than token opposition? Until the Party gets leadership that is willing to FIGHT for the people and for the Constitution it is worthless.

FTA: "Washington, without whose character and leadership the nation as we know it would not have been established..." Washington did not lead the nation to freedom as president but as a general. Even then, it was the people, actual fighters engaging in mortal combat, who threw off the yoke of British colonialism. Lincoln likewise inspired the people to fight to keep the U.S. intact. Currently, the America-loving people seem to think that a president can do their fighting for them but a look at the political-economic condition of our country today shows the fallacy of that belief, as our personal freedoms, along with our Constitution, are swirling down the commode as socialism/communism is ascendent.

It has not been a good couple of days for Democrats. Two days ago, the 5th Circuit delivered a stunning rebuke of the Biden administration, denying their appeal of Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy. Yesterday, Adam Schiff got caught doctoring text messages during a January 6th committee hearing. Then today, the thermonuclear bomb went off. Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda was officially shelved after an agreement with Joe Manchin couldn’t be reached. On that note, my prediction that Manchin would stall things out into next year proved correct, and I still believe his ultimate goal is to kill it entirely in the softest way possible.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) appears to have doctored evidence that he cited in Monday evening’s hearing at the January 6 committee, just as Schiff infamously did during the impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump in 2019.The committee was discussing its motion to recommend that former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows be held in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over information over which Trump has exerted executive privilege. (The full House voted to hold Meadows in contempt on Tuesday and referred him to the Department of Justice for prosecution.)

Everyone’s understandably focused today on how Cheney embarrassed Trump Jr and the Fox News gang by reading their texts to Trump on January 6. Ed has a nice write-up about it here. But don’t miss the forest for the trees. The point Cheney was making isn’t that Fox News hosts are hypocrites, although they are. The point is that the president’s own family and allies were pleading with him while the riot was unfolding to do something, yet he did nothing — for hours. Everyone around him treated it like an emergency. Not him. Was that a crime? Watch the end of this clip, starting at around 3:00.
