The Freedom From Religion Foundation honored Democratic Rep. Jared Huffman of California three years ago with what it calls its "Emperor Has No Clothes Award," named after the story by Hans Christian Andersen."In the story, two weavers con a gullible emperor by selling him expensive cloth they claim is so exquisite only the very wise can see it," said the foundation. "The emperor parades before his cowed subjects in his imaginary finery, until an astute child calls out: 'But the emperor has no clothes!'"Religion, the Foundation contends, has a similar imaginary base," it explained.

Unfortunately, he's in a safe district for godless Democrats, at D+23. Saved by gerrymandering.

So what mere mortal should dictate our morals and where would they get the authority to do so?

In the year 400 (about) Christianity was faced with citizens who were afraid of Christianity. They already had a culture and thought that Christianity would destroy the culture. The "freedom from religion" foundation could spring such fear. But the truth is they are out to destroy Christianity any way they can.

I was trying really really hard not to be offended. Gonna have to circle back on this one. (It's not like I don't know the Prince of the Air is in running things until The Lion of the Tribe of Judah comes.)

I have a question for the esteemed Representative; Why is it that atheists are treated better by Christians than Christians are by atheists?

I believe In God. Yet it is not easy and for this reason I refresh my Christian Faith with the Apostles’ Creed every day. Most Christians do not believe this 2000 year old prayer:
I believe in God,
The Father almighy,
Creator of Heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontious Pilate.,
Was crucified,died, and was buried.
He descended into Hell.
The third day He arose from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven.
Sitteth at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead;
He ascended into Heaven ,
Sittth at the right hand of God the Faye almighty;
From thence He will come to judge thhe living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost,
The Holy Catholic Church,
The communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the flesh,
and life everlasting.
Amen.
Not trivial to believe, but this is the prayer that brought free will and liberty to Western Civilization.
If one compares the Latin and Spanish versions (not shown here) it becomes clear this single prayer controlled the evolution of the Spanish language. Belief in God is not easy, but enriches out brief lives.

They nailed my God to a cross and killed him! If they treated The Creator of The Universe like that, what should we expect? Faith in Christ is a free Gift apart from works! Non-believers just don’t know…. They never will unless the Law pierces their hearts and The Gospel offers Grace to an alarmed and repentant sinner!

It was a California tree, not a Christmas tree as no religious or political trim was allowed. And, if Roe is changed California wants to become the abortion state. Then, next year, the California tree could be festooned with glittery aborted baby like parts.

Those who don’t believe in God believe in government. At least God hasn’t tried to rob me of my freedom and kill me.

While those of us who are Christians celebrate Advent and the birth of our Savior at Christmas time, pagans, like my son's father-in-law, are quick to mock and point out that many of our Christmas traditions come from paganism. So they see no hypocrisy in celebrating "Christ"mas. Unfortunately, in today's society we see much more paganism than Christianity at Christmas time. Even in our church we haven't had a children's Christmas pageant in years. There is usually some kind of social justice, feel-good program. I fear that many children don't even know that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
