The US Navy has fired a nuclear submarine's Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and Chief of the Boat for 'loss of confidence' after their vessel collided with an 'uncharted seamount' in the South China Sea. The $3.1 billion USS Connecticut's CO Cmdr Cameron Aljilani, XO Lt Cmdr Patrick Cashin and COB Cory Rodgers were relieved of their positions on Wednesday. A seamount is a mountain which rises from the ocean floor. A statement from the Navy said that the October 2 crash, which injured 11 crew members, could have been prevented with 'sound judgement, prudent decision-making and adherence to required procedures in navigation planning'.(Snip)Beijing today accused Washington

A Houston doctor who promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 from the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court has been reprimanded by the Texas Medical Board. Stella Immanuel, who went viral after former president Donald Trump retweeted her and raised eyebrows for her thoughts on diseases caused by sex with demons, was fined $500 by the board and ordered to submit proof of consent from patients after explaining all the risks of the unproven treatment, the Houston Chronicle reported Tuesday. Immanuel previously told the newspaper that she had treated “hundreds” of patients with hydroxychloroquine. The Food and Drug Administration has cautioned against the use of hydroxychloroquine

A Republican truck driver who spent just $153 on his campaign and ran for office after he was denied a gun permit secured a stunning victory against the longest-serving legislative leader in New Jersey history in the state's elections—but the loser is disputing the results and claims more ballots were 'found' on Thursday.
The election was held on Tuesday but Associated Press only called the race today after 100 percent of precincts had reported.
Underdog GOP candidate Ed Durr delivered a humiliating defeat to Democratic Senate President Steve Sweeney in South New Jersey's 3rd Legislative District by a razor thin margin of 52 percent of the vote to 48.

President Biden’s push to reward one of his biggest allies, organized labor, with a lucrative tax break will cost taxpayers nearly $1.8 billion over the next decade, according to a new analysis. The Joint Committee on Taxation released an in-depth analysis of the tax proposals included within Mr. Biden’s 10-year, multi-trillion-dollar social welfare bill on Thursday. It found that allowing union members to write off some of their dues payments on their tax filings would wind up depriving the federal coffers of approximately $1.8 billion over the next decade, or $180 million a year. As currently written, the provision would allow members of a labor organization

Republicans moved this week to block $450,000 payments to illegal immigrants who were part of family separations during the Trump administration, but they saw their first attempt quashed by Senate Democrats. The payments are being pondered by President Biden’s task force assigned to help reunify and compensate families snared by the Trump zero-tolerance border policy, which led to thousands of family separations. Some migrants would be in line to collect $450,000 in federal money, and the total bill could top $1 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal, which first reported the negotiations. Sen. Jim Lankford, Oklahoma Republican, proposed an amendment to cancel the payments during debate

Advisors to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended on Wednesday that all U.S. adults younger than age 60 get vaccinated against hepatitis B. Under the new policy, tens of millions of adults in the 30-to-59 age range could get their shots, protecting them against this potentially chronic liver disease.
The new recommendation aims to prevent infection among middle-aged adults with hepatitis B increasingly impacting people in their 40s and 50s in recent years. 'We cannot eliminate hepatitis B in the U.S. without a new approach,' said CDC scientist Dr Mark Weng.(Snip)Adults commonly catch the disease through sexual contact and needle sharing,

Nearly 100 congressional Republicans demanded Thursday that the Department of Homeland Security detail its plan for dealing with a caravan of migrants making its way through southern Mexico toward the US border. In a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas obtained exclusively by The Post, the lawmakers said they were “deeply concerned” about the situation and warned that border agents “are already overworked, undermanned, and under-supplied as a result of the influx of migrants this year.” The letter, led by House GOP Conference chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), also raised the specter of migrants attempting to force their way into the US

Making Covid vaccines compulsory for care home workers had little effect on boosting uptake, industry insiders say amid fears forcing the jabs on NHS workers will also be futile. Ministers have made it a legal requirement for all care home staff to get their second jab by November 11 or face losing their job, with the hope of boosting uptake and protecting vulnerable residents. But care bosses told MailOnline today the policy failed in its main objective of boosting uptake and was enforced 'without considering' the consequences. Critics warn it will exacerbate staffing shortages.(Snip)The insider said the 'no jab, no job' policy was already 'crippling' for some

San Francisco has been condemned for mandating COVID vaccines for children—even though no one under the age of 20 has been killed by the virus in the city. Figures from San Francisco's official COVID tracker show that out of the 664 citizens that have succumbed to the disease since it surfaced in the states nearly two years ago, none have been aged 21 or younger. What's more, only 1,529 kids in the city have come down with the virus in that span. 'San Francisco is going to mandate 5-11 year olds have the vaccine to participate in society,' one Twitter user wrote Thursday morning,
Comments:
Unexpectedly, said none of us. Why is no one arrested over this malfeasance? We have the most expensive military in the world run by a federal government that views we the people as its greatest threat, and promotion of sexual deviance as its highest mission. Instead of funding advanced weapon designs that we freely allow China to steal, why not defund the whole thing and let them try to invade? USA could not win against Vietnam or Afghanistan, and likewise the USA, give or take China, likely could not prevail against us either.
