America is a global laughingstock right now, but that's no reason not to give Chairman Xi and Putin and every up-country village headman in Helmand a few more yuks. Step forward, State Department spokeswanker Ned Price: The United States is dead as a global power because of this kind of indestructible stupidity. You've lost, you blew it, it's over: The goatherds just decapitated you; could you at least have the self-respect not to run around like a headless chicken too stupid to know it's nogginless? Or like a broken doll lying on its back with its mechanism jammed on the same simpleton phrases: "Diversity is our strength...

"Wokeness is weakness, and diversity is where nations go to die."
Ouch! Couldn't have said it better. The word that always comes to mind for me is decadence. We are prioritizing triviality over matters like self defense. It shows. And to top it all off we elect a man that is unfit for office.
The bearded rats of the Taliban claim they won a great victory over the United States. Victory would imply we put up a fight which we clearly did not. The Taliban did not win. We went home. The Taliban would collapse inside a month if we decided to fight them.
We refused to defend ourselves and our allies. That is the height of decadence.

It certainly appears that the entire English-speaking world is circling the drain. The UK, Australia, and now America. Whose left?

Mark as usual is strikingly spot on. The USA may have one more shot at it. otherwise ...
The Republic of Texas approaches.
Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, S Dakota, N Dakota, Montana, Alberta (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), Manitoba (Canada), and a few states along the sides. Let's go EAST. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida.
We have every shipping port in The Gulf of Mexico and half the Atlantic and more oil than the Saudis ever dreamed of.
California and New York can print their own money. If they want to trade they can use Panama. We WILL protect our borders ,north, south, east, and west.
If you're coming to visit Texas bring your US passport with the pre-approved visitor's visa.

This "superpower" has been walking in a funk since the fall of the Soviet Union, and it has been accompanied by its NATO allies. Dubya appeared as witless as Biden until even after 9/11, when he finally appeared in NYC and rallied the firefighters with his bold words. In between Dubya's ascension and Biden's insomnia, we have been defrauded by our leaders, civilian and military. We went to put a boot in some arses and ended up mucking about for 20 years - from purple fingers to the finger at the exit. $6.7 TRILLION and 3000 soldiers' lives in Afghanistan to this end - a security force with zero willingness to fight and a government that loaded suitcases with cash and took flight. That's the shame. What's happening now only boldly underlines the decades of stupidity that led to this final ignominious week.
There should be resignations, if not outright exhibitions of seppuku by our leaders. The shame is theirs, and on the Afghans who failed in seizing opportunity to reform their society over 20 years. But, then, that's how Afghanistan works. Now they get "law and order"...
Dare I say, "Never again"? I know better.

Someone tweeted this to Steyn, he included it in this article...FTA...'Do you think there's any chance of getting Taliban commanders to teach at West Point? It might be a nice change of pace for cadets to learn from someone who actually won a war.'
Pretty much says it all. Right?
