This afternoon, Joe Biden tried to defend not only his decision to pull out of Afghanistan, but also the way his team carried it out. As to the former, Biden said, “American troops cannot and should not be fighting in a war and dying in a war that Afghan forces are not willing to fight for themselves.”
But Afghans were willing to fight against the Taliban and to die doing so. That’s why the Taliban was never able to take over major population centers, not even when the U.S. force diminished to somewhere between 2,500-3,500. All they required of us was that we maintain something like that level of commitment.

They pulled troops out and are sending 6000 in. What's up with that?

No sale, scum_bag. Everyone knew the Afghans would throw down their weapons and ditch their uniforms the second the US left. Your duty was to secure Bagram, use it as a central evacuation point that was far more defensible than Karzai Airport, and to get civilian contractors and other US nationals out. Evacuate the embassy and staff, and THEN pull out the troops and hand over to the Afghans.
You are a total failure, and so is everyone involved here. Resignations are in order.

Overnight the country has been turned into an unfeared enemy and an untrustworthy friend. A very precarious position on the world stage. Exactly what PDT worked tirelessly to avoid.

Biden claimed that he pulled our 2500 troops out because he didn’t want a 5th US President to face this issue. But what in Biden’s disastrous surrender to the Taliban, Al Qaeda and ISIS will prevent that country from being a staging area for future Islamic terrorism against the US? All the evil doers are back, along with a fresh back of fanatics who prefer imaginary virgins over their own lives.
We are no better off than we were on 9/11/01. We squandered lives, limbs and a fortune for nothing.

For nearly 50 years, Joe played a politician on TV, with no accountability for his stupidity. Nothing has changed now that he has usurped the presidency, and the ‘Rats who accorded him undeserved support because he is a socialist, are now nonetheless jumping ship as he shows that his suit is truly empty.

President Trump had been crafting a staged exit from Afghanistan but, owing to the theft of the election, it was not to be. Instead America suffers the criminal ministrations of Old Clusterf**k and his co-conspirators: the Biden Bug-Out.

The men in the Afghan Army took up arms against the Taliban because they were PAID by the US to do so. Once the dollars stopped they would lay down their arms anyway.

Just like BiteMe Biden and the Democrats defunding the police, they're doing the same with the U.S. military in Afghanistan. Now, both have to fend for themselves for survival. Actually, we're witnessing a collapse of two countries that's being destroyed by the Democrats and many Americans don't even know what's going on.

I feel sorry for Mr. Mirengoff trying to peddle this nonsense. The Taliban took over Afghanistan so quickly because many area commanders of the Afghan Government literally accepted cash to melt away into the night.
