During a status hearing Friday afternoon for Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, an Army reservist arrested on January 15 for his involvement in the January 6 protest in Washington, D.C., an assistant U.S. attorney admitted the government will not meet its discovery obligations for all Capitol defendants until early 2022.Kathyrn Fifield, the lead attorney representing the Justice Department, informed Judge Trevor McFadden that the “incalculable” volume of video collected by the government related to the Capitol breach investigation will prevent defendants and their lawyers from accessing the full body of evidence against them for several more months. “No system exists to wrap its arms around [all this evidence],” Fifield told McFadden.

It's time for a judge to see through this political crap and release these people. If something does not happen soon, I feel that this is not going to end well for Pelosi. If I were the families of these people I sue the h3ll out of Pelosi. Take her to court.

Yes, poster #1. They need to go directly at Pelosi personally and not at the SOTH. She's acting outside of her office, so she and all who comply with her orders should be held personally responsible. She might rethink her tyrannical ways.

Judge should have at least released him until his trial.

And yet unconstitutional detainment continues to be imposed.

Defendants are released on speedy trial motions all the time. The government has had more than enough time to cook up the evidence against these people. If they are so lazy that they can't even do that, its on them.
Release all of them from the gulag, NOW.

These people need not only to be released with charges dropped but a large amount of damages paid in restitution for the denial of their rights. This is going to be a civil damages lawsuit on an enormous scale. There is precedent in this for the federal restitution that was paid to the Japanese citizens and their survivors who were impounded by the Democrat administration during WWII. Also the individual jail staff who have inflicted injuries and mistreatment on many or all of these victims must be prosecuted.

They should be released, if for no other reason, than that a 2nd wave of the 'deadly' virus is back and that's what we did the 1st time around.

The prosecutors are making these decisions, not Pelosi. She has no authority to give orders to the DOJ. Suing her would be worthless and would not cost her time or money. She would be defended by government assigned lawyers free to her.

But it's okay to confine suspects in solitary, denying the suspects their basic rights guaranteed under the 5th Amendment. The DOJ is truly the Department of Injustice.

This charade appears to be no different from Dachau in the late 1930s, enforced detention to spend some time concentrating over one's assumed misdeeds. The silence to what is happening is deafening, especially by the defense lawyers. We lost the "civil libertarians" some time ago.

The Governors from the states from which they are being detained need to start to raise hell about this. These are your citizens and they are being held as political prisoners.

I suspect if Pelosi’s wings were trimmed much of this would go away. It’s all about Pelosi taking umbrage because HER house was invaded.

Then let the people out of jail until you can get your act together. The criminality here is on the part of the Department of Injustice.

Denial of bail, solitary, alleged beatings...So where are all the "conservative" showpony lawyers filing habeas corpus motions? Still trying to round up that Kraken? What's that conservative alternative to the ACLU named? This is at least as big as any florist who won't arrange flowers for a gay wedding. No?

The Dems have to drag all this out to keep their dumb, dishonest, naive factions riled up. This includes the left media. They all believe anything the Dems tell them. I still think the left DOJ is in a pickle to hold people this long without lodging some serious charges. But this is all the left has left. They know Biden is screwing up big time, so they have to do anything and everything to stay in power so the treachery of the last several doesn’t come fully exposed.

It takes time to railroad hundreds of people. By the time the evidence is available, the DoJ will have altered it for their own uses. This all needs to be thrown out. it has gone on long enough.

This is a MASSIVE miscarriage of justice; ALL these prisoners should have been out on bail on day ONE. Where are they going to flee to, CUBA ? I hope they sue those responsible for illegal detention. The judges who rule to keep the prisoners in jail are pure SCUM who should lose their seats.

If any government entity (federal, state, or local) had hundreds of BLMers in jail without bail for essentially misdemeanor charges, how many American cities, business, and neighborhoods would be burnt to the ground after sufficient looting has occurred? How many innocent bystanders or just plain folks going about their lives would be murdered? How many BLMers accused of violent felonies have been summarily released from jail, despite the clear evidence of their depravity? Anyone see a pattern here?

Trials can't start until Fall 2022 so the Dem RATS can use it as propaganda for the campaign. I understand that at 9 pm et each night these prisoners of the Biden-led deep state sing the National Anthem from their cells. Maybe we should as well.

DOJ, Department of Jackasses...Ever hear of the Speedy Trial? This ain't it, in fact you are violating every right they have so you can play politics! Time to start Hanging some Prosecutors to get those remaining to get the point!
US Constitution Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
I see nothing in this amendment to allow prosecutors to drag out the proceedings because they have 'too much' Evidence.
