Some kids my age wanted to be the next Michael Jordan or Kurt Cobain… but me? I just wanted to talk politics on the mic. And in my young imagination, there was no brighter rock star than the incomparable Rush Limbaugh. After Watergate, the corporate media took a distinctly liberal tone in America. This Leftist-editorial slant has since metastasized and spread to our social media platforms… so much so that you’d think the likes of the New York Times or Twitter were colluding with the DNC.But before Fox News, with a media landscape monopolized by Democrat messaging, emerged Rush… like an unstoppable fire-spewing force of nature, leaving a trail

Buck, while I wish you the very best of luck, you are not a Rush Limbaugh. Nobody is. Rush was one of a kind and there are no copies. Just be Buck Sexton. That is all you can expect of yourself. Bring that conservative voice and let freedom ring.

Rush Limbaugh died on February 17th, 2021. I can tune in to Rush's time slot today, and hear Commercial ads that Rush made last year. Who would flog a dead man to continue to advertise products in this world, after he's gone to the next? Can't we let the man rest in peace. Can't we honor his contribution, without picking at the carcass to squeeze a few more pennies from him?

Like Buck Sexton said it’s all about freedom of speech and getting the conservative voice heard. Our voices can’t be silenced or canceled. May Clay Travis and Buck Sexton make it happen.

A devoted Paul Harvey listener to his 15 minute program and always waiting for "the rest of the story" for many years. Then along came Rush and THREE hours of pure unchained Americana. Paul was ever the optimist, teacher and even a little preacher. Hung onto every word. But Rush, well Rush was Rush. He took America to heights of patriotism we never dreamed. Mapped the road to forever guide us to even more righteousness, happiness and dreams for the future we would never have thought possible. That said, Buck you've got your work cut out for you. Rush gave us the rules. Never turn your back on your kind, never give up especially never give up on America. Wish you well.

Glenn Beck said it best: "Rush Limbaugh is why cars still have AM radios."
Follow him, Buck, but please don't try to be him.

Rush was a titan. An anchor, a brother, a friend for 29 years. I still tear up when I think about him. But I am looking forward to listening to this young man, and wish him all the best.

I listened to Rush for 30 years, was a loyal Rush 24/7 subscriber and miss him every day. But he's gone and can't be replaced. Forget it.
On the plus side, Rush is in a better place, and won't be around to see the complete destruction of the nation he so loved and tried so hard unsuccessfully to save.

You persevered when things went against you on your first chance to fill in for Rush.
You tried all types of therapies and found one doctor who was willing to help you, but the most important one in the end, was PRAYER.
ALWAYS start any day and every day with PRAYER and end each day with THANKSGIVING.
Stay strong in your convictions for the Truth and may your radio program be a blessing to the American people.

I agree with #2 and in the same vein, am wondering how long Larry King's family is going to have him on cable TV talking about prostate issues. When is enough money enough?

#1,We had a local drive-time host who was, here, as loved as Rush was everywhere. When he retired, he told his successor the same thing you just advised. Don't try to be me. Be you.

Best wishes Buck. You will do fine. I miss Rush like a family member, but we still need to follow this lead and get the truth out.

Rush! There'll never be another one. As long as Rush 24/7 is available, I will stay a member. But as with so many other Rush babies, there comes a time. There just comes a time.

One thing Rush always said was that he was an entertainer first and foremost - he knew what he had to do, which was to entertain the audience while educating them along the way. His show was FUN to listen to! How many of us remember the first time we heard Rush? What made you listen the next day? Yeah, for me it was his conservative views, but what kept me listening for the first six weeks (and subsequent 32 years) was his humor! I do remember the first time I heard Rush - it had to have been in 1988 or early '89. Prior to the first Gulf War, anyway. I was standing (appropriately enough) in a gun store that that had Rush's show on the radio. I don't remember the specific heavy metal band front man he was talking about, but it was something about how this guy had got into some legal trouble and his mother did the usual 'but he is a good boy' spiel - and Rush;s comment was something along the lines of 'if his mother had turned him over her knee and spanked him when he was a kid he wouldn't have turned out to be the worthless loser he is now.' Never heard anything like THAT on the radio before, and I was hooked! And the cast of Gulf War Won - you just had to be there at the time. But google it - Rush Limbaugh cast of Gulf War Won. You young'uns won't get some of it though.
