Biden’s first big speech to Congress
bombs on all counts

President Biden’s speech Wednesday night failed on all counts: It didn’t sell his latest spending plan, it didn’t sell his larger agenda — and, worst of all, it didn’t sell him.Start with the utterly bizarre “mask theater.” All the politicians in the room have been fully vaccinated, and Biden’s own CDC says that’s enough. So why the universal masking, and the social distancing? The message, cutting across the president’s occasional optimism, was that this nightmare will never end — which simply isn’t true.Equally, obviously false was Biden’s now-routine effort to claim all the credit for successful vaccinations: All that was set in motion before he took office.

All true, but it doesn’t matter. Soros media will say Americans loved it and the FBI will kick in your door if you disagree.
We are screwed.

"Eventually, Socialists run out of other people's money."
~~ Margaret Thatcher.
This quote should be referred to by EVERY Republican whenever they have the opportunity to make a public statement right up to the next election. That's how the liberals present their point--and it is effective.

It was as disconnected as the neurons in his brain.
And why must we name a police reform law after a drug addicted, drug dealer, armed robber felon?

Didn't watch. Don't need to. We all know where the country is headed and Biden and his "advisors" will take us down the drain of Socialism/Communism for the good of all Comrades! The country can't survive being shut down with a new 1.2 Trillion Dollar Federal spending spree on left wing pet projects! We are now a literal house of cards. Get out of debt, buy some assets like Gold or Silver and hang on. It's going to get really ugly. Prepare yourselves for roving bands of BLM criminals and Antifa Soy Boys! How will you defend yourself from someone trying to break into your residence. No...the police won't be the answer as they are overwhelmed and neutered through new regulation!

Didn’t watch it but from the photo, at least I’m pleased that those seated on the right side of the aisle didn’t stand and applaud like those on the left side. It would have been great if all of the Republicans stood at the end and started tearing up sheets of paper.

What was truly sad was knowing that just 15 months ago Donald Trump was addressing the nation while Nancy Pelosi rudely gestured her disgust for Trump, to the point of tearing up his speech to show her disdain. Trump is gone while Pelosi remains, as evil and dishonest as ever. We are not in good hands, and things are going to get much worse in the months and years to come.

Exact same thoughts as #9. Trump is gone while the evil Pelosi is (still) there. What a travesty. That in a nutshell represents the predicament we are in. This "Family plan" business s all bogus. Only one burning question remains -" Will we able to restore election integrity through conventional means or do we take to the streets?". All else is of secondary importance.

There is a new gimmick being tried out by lefties called Modern Monetary Theory. Basically, it says government can spend, spend, spend...unless interest rates go up. Guess what? By putting more money into the economy prices will rise creating inflation. The way to get inflation under control is for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates. Do you have any idea of the impact of higher interest rates on our debt? It will be a disaster. Couple that with the fact that the debt rating of the U.S. is currently BBB (the lowest grade considered safe for investing) and things do not look good.

Notice his weak, shuffling progress up the aisle. He is guiding fore and aft by minders. The lead one holds out his hand to show jobama where he is supposed to go; since he wouldn't make it there otherwise.

Why the masks??????? They can’t hide forever. They looked like a bunch of scared babies hiding behind their mommies. Wish the republicans had the guts not to wear theirs.

This is absolutely the most bizarre chapter in all our American history. I pray to God this country can get back to its basic foundation and reverse the cultural rot too.

I accidently hit the Fox channel when switching from one station showing a movie, to another station showing a movie. I stopped just long enough to listen to some jerk praising Biteme about what a wonderful speech he made about unity. They then switched to Meghan Kelly and Bret Baier for comments. Kelly started spewing some BS about agreeing with the jerk, and I quickly hit the remote to start watching a movie. Any more unity from the Biteme administration, and the country will be finished as a free nation.

Congress obviously doesn't understand the covid issue. Unless all parties were told to wear masks as an example for all us dummies. In which case, they don't understand us.

did anyone even expect something equivalent to a JFK speech or an FDR speech or a speech by the best of the whole lot - President Donald J. Trump?

Watching this stammering, incoherent putz, you don't know whether to laugh or cry. I choose to laugh.
And Kamala Harris will be even funnier.
