What will be the future of the mass hysteria spawned last summer? No one knows. But its destination, if unchecked, will be ethnic tensions and sectarian strife at best akin to those in Brazil and India—or at worst Lebanon, Syria, and Rwanda. Until just a few years ago, racial differences, according to polls, were more or less receding. Intermarriage between racial groups is at historic highs. But by 2014-2015, with the birth of Black Lives Matter, its courting by the Obama Administration, and the emergence of the electronic social media mob and cancel culture, such progress seems to have ended.

'Stop Asian hate' is the new signs popping up in my city, beside 'Black lives Matter' posters. We are 30 % Asian now, with 5 supermarkets with Chinese names. The supposed hate is manufactured. Another democrat tactic to divide America.

We have a lot of Burmese immigrants where I live. Some in my neighborhood where they have bought houses and made good lives for themselves. One of our favorite local businesses is owned by a family who emigrated from Laos. I see no hate at all, and never have. But I live in a red state, not a big city in a blue state.

Just in case you missed it, here is a quote from the article, racist pig Damon Young, who is a NY Times contributor:
“Whiteness is a public health crisis. It shortens life expediencies, it pollutes air, it constricts equilibrium, it devastates forests, it melts ice caps, it sparks (and funds) wars, it flattens dialects, it infests consciousnesses, and it kills people”
Something HAS infested his consciousness and it's dark and evil, rooted in hate.

Damon needs to forego anything and everything which has ever been invented or created by white people. He can spend his life in rags, living in a hut and scratching his subsistence out of the dirt with his fingernails.

I'm surprised that Mr. Hanson buy into the lie that the Civil War was fought because of slavery. The truth is that the Civil War was fought because the Southern States wanted to secede from the union over economic issues. The Northern States refused and the war began. Slavery was an add-on issue to motivate northern citizens, who were somewhat apathetic about the other issues. Both political parties used slavery for their own ends.
The left already knows it can control and dominate blacks, using money, hatred, and fear. It has not been able to dominate whites or other races- such as Asians- so it has now turned blacks against about all other races. Blacks and Hispanics have been having trouble for years now.

I this color, you that color. I good, you bad. We are dealing with third grader logic and the teacher has left the classroom.

You can't teach people to be antiracist by being racist in reverse---just like you can't teach people not to yell by screaming, "Don't yell!" at them.

I don't think we are headed into a civil war, but a race war at this point seems inevitable. I don't see any other outcome if the anti-white racism keeps ramping up, as it has done dramatically in the past year. Soon, black "leaders" in BLM and elsewhere will outrightly be calling for the killing of whites. We are, as Hanson points out, very close to that now with the talk of white "infestation." What does one do with an infestation except exterminate?
Those pushing for violence don't seem to recognise that it will turn out very badly for them. The sheer numbers indicate that clearly.
This dreadful outcome needs to be avoided, but I don't see anything on the horizon that makes me hopeful. Certainly not the Biden Administration. Not the woke culture of politics, academia, corporate America and the entertainment industry.
For years now, we have culturally been heaping racial kindling all across our nation. At some point-- unless this all turns around because decent Americans demand that it stop-- a spark will set off the firestorm.

Antiracism has morphed into racism.
Antifa and BLM are hate groups. The media will never tell you that, but they are. Antifa was always about hatred. BLM may have been about social justice at first, but it changed into nothing but hate when all they did was blame whitey for everything.

Those of us who live in the N.Lower peninsula of Michigan are seeing a huge increase in the northerly migration of the far southern third . Not the usual summer tourist type, either--and any realtor will tell you that people are bailing as a result of what Mr. Hanson is writing about.
It might be time for me and others to consider migrating to the Upper Peninsula. Wouldn't be the first time,-eh?

Obama single-handedly set the country back a few decades in terms of race relations when he had the unique opportunity to move things rapidly forward.
Stupidity or on purpose?

#5 I agree. In my college Southern history class the percentage of slave holders(almost exclusively white male land owners) was in one chapter and the percentage of land owners was in another chapter. (I think that was on purpose.) I connected the two and did the math. Only about 2000 slave owners all total. So I asked my professor how did they manage to get enough soldiers to even create an army? Simple. The real issue wasn't the ability of these guys to eventually own slaves. It was their ability to eventually own shoes. Many of the volunteers had to be taught how to put on boots because they had been barefoot their whole lives. The North had manipulated the price of cotton and the poor dirt farmer(the vast majority of the cotton farmers) who picked his own cotton got ripped off every year. After the North won they continued the oppressions even worse via carpet baggers who stole all the land. My ancestors on both my mother's and father's side had all their land stolen by carpet baggers. Frankly, I want reparations.

"Racism" is NOT a "sin" so everyone should stop making it the 8th deadly sin right now. The leftist-humanists, being devoid of any form or faith or morality, are attempting to define their own false ten commandments and morality. Don't fall for it. Tell them that according to your Bible there are only TWO races mentioned, Gentiles and Jews. Then point out that liberals hate Jews, making them the TRUE racists in America.
And to rub salt in the wound, tell them that only Christianity unifies ALL mankind, according to Galations 3:28 - "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

BLM and this Damon Young a sometimes, NY Times writer, sound an awful like Louis Farahan with the verb "infests," Old Louie said Jews were like termites "infesting" society. Sick, sick, sick. This was said by Adolf in the early 30s before the roundup of Jews in Germany. Are we living in a pre-Nazi world?

They're hoping we will be contrite enough to fund them in perpetuity. There is no service I need that requires a black person specifically. I can live without them, but the loudmouthed, perpetually whiny faction of black society that is complaining the loudest truly cannot live without handouts from productive whites and minorities.
