Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh signed off his show on a somber note, thanking listeners and saying how much he appreciates them.Limbaugh said he was making an “attempt to thank everybody in the audience, all of you, for everything you mean to me. That last call … reminds me how much I love all of you. How much I so appreciate everything you’ve meant to me and my family. You don’t have any idea.”
Limbaugh, who first announced his lung cancer diagnosis in February, told listeners in October that despite some early success fighting the disease, more recent scans show the cancer was “going in the wrong direction.”

God Bless Rush Limbaugh. He is a national treasure. We've listened to him since the beginning and I love him as much as a family member. I pray for a miracle and he gets to continue doing what he loves. Merry Christmas Rush and Katherine, and Mega Dittos.

Dear God, we need a Christmas miracle. Rush is indeed a national treasure...the ultimate patriot who informs and teaches us. Our country needs him more than ever. Pray without ceasing.

I suspect Rush’s proudest moment was receiving the Medal of Freedom from President Trump during the last SOTU address. Class act all the way and what a contrast to the childish behavior of Nancy Pelosi ripping up the Presidents speech. Somewhere there has to be a reckoning for what has been done to my country. Rush has been and will continue to be as long as possible our man at the barricades keeping the barbarians at bay....God Bless Him.

I listened to Rush yesterday and read between the lines, and it’s not looking good. He’s taking a lot more time off and there’s a faint hoarseness in his voice at times. Why do the truly evil people escape from an early demise? We do need a miracle.

There are two people I've never met that I love as if I've known them all my life--Rush Limbaugh and President Trump. People like them touch you deeply and have an impact on your life. They are teachers; they are trustworthy, they are real. Real people stay constant and true to their core. When you place these two individuals up against fake people who make us believe they are a certain way only to discover they've been deceiving us, it's easy to understand why the fakery of the fake angers us so much. Rush taught us all so much; he is a legend and a national treasure. What he did for America will not be remembered from the standpoint of those who hate him and what he stands for. His legacy lives on in all who know and treasure true conservatism, which is basic decent common sense living. For a man who never had children of his own, he has millions of Rush babies. He also has millions like me who love him and never met him.

It sounded like final words to me. I hope I am wrong, but...
Rush achieved more in his life than anyone I can name. And his achievements helped America. Historians will , if honest, treat him kindly.

Heard the beginning of the show but not the end. I'll be sorry if I missed his last signoff, although it diidn't sound like he was throwing in the towel just yet.
This would be a hell of a time to lose Rush. Our side is not getting wins anywhere.

Rush Limbaugh is the only celebrated pundit-- biggest radio audience-- who I have always felt sure is also a deep-down patriot. His love for this country is genuine, and his political insights were always unique. He is meeting his end with grace and courage, and an abundance of love for his audience-- which is met by an ocean of love from them in return. He made it quite clear that if that was not his last show, his last show is near. We love you, Rush, and we will miss you sorely. Go home a hero.
"When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home." -- Tecumseh

I have been listening to Rush for a long time. It has been a true education and it has been wonderful to listen to someone who thinks like I do. He has never let us down. I pray for his recovery every day. May God bless him and his family as they go through this. We love you, Rush!

...I listened to Rush yesterday for the first 45 minutes...and as he went on...the tone...the content... I was thinking "....This sounds a little like his Farewell Show....??"
...I hope not....but....seems like in the past month he has missed quite a few shows....and when he is there he sounds....different...??
...he is putting up a brave front...but ...the disease and treatment are surely taking a toll...
...Rush is a broadcasting genius.....and a true American hero..... People who HATE him really HATE the concept of America ( as envisioned by The Founding Fathers ) ... They are uninformed and misguided losers
...I hope Rush is back after The Holidays.... But I'm fearing the worst..... I don't know of anyone who could take his place.

As did other posters, I choked up listening to Rush's sign-off yesterday. The way this great man has conducted himself and his show since his diagnosis makes it very clear that our decades long confidence in and love for him have been well placed.
God's ways are not our ways. We love you, Rush!

There is a poster on YouTube named "Yamateee" who uploads the audio to Rush's show. I know I will go back and listen to every word. On a positive note, the fact that Rush was able to broadcast until the end of 2020 is a blessing. I pray that we can hear from him in 2021.

Rush deserves every prayer that he receives, but in a sense it works out for him either way. Either he beats it or, if he doesn't, he's guaranteed a much better destination, and he won't have to see what happens to the America that he loved and tried so hard unsuccessfully to save.

It was in the mid 1980s when I first heard Rush on KFBK (I think was the station) in Sacramento CA. He impressed me so much and I thought, "Here is a man who voices what I cannot."
He was destined for a larger audience and sure enough, that happened when he went to NYC.
He is such a patriot and we will be forever honored to have heard him all these years.

I think it safe to say Rush stands alongside William F. Buckley as the two most influential conservatives we will ever have been blessed with. Thomas Sowell is waiting to walk on stage.

The library of wisdom, knowledge and patriotic love of all things American is vast. Rush's life stories from Grandfather, father and his mom, his antics and failures are stuff of legend. When El Rushbo takes his final bow in the years ahead we Americans that make up his AM radio family will be richer beyond our own achievements. God Bless you Rush.

Thirty year listener here and I’ve always thought of Rush as an older brother (by about 15 months) who I could always depend on for advice and support. I can’t imagine life without him.
Hubby and I listened to his show yesterday as we drove to our dauhgter’s house for Christmas. I wondered aloud if he was saying goodbye and hubby said that he may want to leave us while he’s still somewhat OK, not wanting us to remember him in decline.
I’ve noticed not only his raspy voice but also that he’s not as quick on the uptake as he always was - which could be due to his meds, or fatigue or pain. All we can do is pray for him. At the end of this hideous year, we really do need a miracle.
God bless you, Rush! We love you more than you can imagine.

Rush still is having a big influence. When he took on the virus relief bill the other day Trump followed up at night with his criticism. Trump obviously likes Rush and listens to him. Rush is not replaceable.
I pray he can last longer but he has just started to look worse. Stage IV lung cancer doesn't give people much hope.

#9- For those who missed Rush’s program yesterday, the transcripts of select topics he discussed are available at his website (rushlimbaugh.com). Two of those topics were posted last evening: “From the Remco Caravelle to a Household Name in All Four Corners of the World” and “Merry Christmas, Everybody — I Love You All” One other “personal” transcript at the website is: “I’ve Had a Year to Think About What’s Important”
The “Remco Caravelle” transcript provides an insight into the mischief and delight of Rush as an 8-year-old being totally absorbed with his new toy, a deejay transmitter and his reflections on his childhood school years.
As others have posted, Rush is a national treasure and while we want to hold onto him for as long as possible, as we do with dearly loved family members, we take comfort in the warmth, love, comfort and guidance of Holy Scripture:
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 - A Time for Everything
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.”
Rush Limbaugh, you are dearly loved and treasured within our hearts. We love you. God bless you. Heaven is our home.
