Chick-fil-A is now the second-highest-grossing restaurant chain in the US—despite not being open on Sundays. Thanks to sales growth in 2019 of 13 percent to $11.3 billion, the chicken slinger leapfrogged over Taco Bell and Burger King to second place behind McDonald’s, according to Restaurant Business Magazine’s annual list of top 500 restaurants. The Atlanta-based chain’s dominance is even more impressive considering it has only 2,470 locations in the United States. McDonald’s, by comparison, raked in $40.4 billion in gross sales with its 13,846 American locations.(Snip) Last year, Chick-fil-A was 7th on the list, behind Burger King and Taco Bell, as well as Wendy’s and Subway.

Used to enjoy their food, but since they decided who they wanted to support, and it wasn't anyone I liked, I decided I could spend my money elsewhere. Popeyes also makes a great sandwich, and I'm really not missing the plain piece of chicken on a bun with a pickle. Love that chicken from Popeyes!

The spicy chicken sandwich from Popeyes is awesome, incidentally. Conscience clean.

And they did that as a six day a week business.
Those having a tantrum about their wokeness should have a look at their charitable giving. Your missing out on a great lunch.

I hardly think of Chick-Fil-A as "the LBGQ" fast foodies....some woke board member likely shamed management. A mistake, no doubt, but a broader perspective reveals a well run, honest company based --at the core--on American values.
And they've bested their competition with 1 hand tied behind their back, being closed on Sundays. And, wow, they do have competition with Popeyes spicy sandwhich, imho.

Fine. But we just went for an In-N-Out burger, fries and a chocolate shake… We eat so much chicken and fish at home that we may grow gills and begin to cluck. “Out” means beef.

As with other posters, I sure did my fair share to help them get there -- when I believed they stood for the values I hold dear. I usually ate there at least a couple of times a week, and sometimes went as much as 20 miles out of my way to get one of their yummy spicy chicken sandwiches and those delicious waffle fries. And you certainly couldn't find more courteous and polite workers anywhere else.
When this current generation of owners decided to flip the birdie to donating to good moral organizations, and replace them with organizations that are anything but moral, I just lost my taste.
I don't wish them any ill will. I just don't feel the desire to go out of my way to eat there any more. It's not that they are any worse than every other fast food chain out there. It's just that they aren't any better any more. Sad.

I've always thought that it was best to "dance with who brung you." They caved when it mattered.
I don't avoid them but I also don't go out of my way for them anymore. I used to as there isn't one near my house.

I am almost literally surrounded by Chik-Fil-A, with the nearest one being sneezing distance from my back yard. They are also the only fast food sandwich maker with gluten-free rolls, so I am free to enjoy my grilled chicken club (no cheese, please) without having it rolled in a head of lettuce.
BTW, when I need my beef fix, I head to Freddie's Steakburgers for a delicious, freshly made single with bacon and string fries with Freddie's sauce. YUMMMMMM!!!

Give me a Double Double all day, every day over the new “woke” Chick Fil A.

This is based on gross sales. I can get well fed for $2 at Taco Bell, a headline burger for the $2.50 at BK, but how much was a chicken sandwich at CF?

Good product and nice people, but they did this with no help from me; not once cent spent there after they got "woke" with their charitable giving, sticking a finger in the eyes of the deplorables who helped raise them to such heights.
