President Donald Trump on Friday exited the White House coronavirus press briefing without taking any questions from reporters.
The president concluded the briefing after he and his team delivered opening statements, saying, “Thank you very much,” before turning and exiting the room. Reporters shouted questions as he walked away. The president suffered a brutal 24 hours of news coverage after he asked whether disinfectant or ultraviolet light could be used in the body to fight the Wuhan coronavirus.Prior to the briefing, reporters said that White House staff tried to change seating in the press briefing room, moving CNN to the back of the room

Good! He doesn’t have to deal with them daily.

A thirty minute update daily would suffice.
I don’t think the press should even be in attendance.
Keep it dignified and informative.

We were disappointed that there wasn’t a good fight tonight between the slugger (Trump) and the sluggees (the media people). I made a quick run to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee and when I got back the Briefing was over. Thought there was something wrong with the connection.

Good move. Needs to do it more often. Being at the center of every daily storm personalizes the issues and undercuts his credibility with many voters. Don’t ask me where it got Bush. It got him eight years.

Maybe he finally realized that all the Q&A sessions did was provide fodder for media lies. Yesterday with the injections must have been the tipping point.
I know he enjoys clowning those idiots but they were winning.

This disinfectant issue is without any doubt a stupid own goal. I wish this President will leave the briefing to the officials.

I think it was perfect. the Briefings were getting way too long and said nothing new. The Press couldn't wait for the President to take questions so they could attack. I think he should come out, give his news of the day and walk out! Guess the Press wouldn't care then where their chair is in the room as none of them will be given air time!

Having been subject to a most miserable of procedures known as a colonoscopy, I know how the prep for that particular exam works. First time I had one I had to drink pineapple flavor laxative, yes pineapple, tons of it. I didn't want anything that even remotely reminded me of a pineapple for years. That is how I feel about the media right now. They are a gallon jug of pineapple flavored laxative and I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. I have never been so sick of anything in my life as I am of the media right now. No more press, no more questions. I would be just fine if they all just went away permanently and I never saw a one of them from any of the msm networks ever again. The are all evil.

The media is primarily there to play "Gotcha"; fine with me if Trump skips the questions occasionally.

I stood up from my recliner and clapped and shouted when Trump left the room with no questions from the peanut gallery. The podium entourage left also. That was what the press-titutes deserved. Hooray. I hate it when those barely literate screaming hordes of squawkers aka, the press, start shouting their stupid gotcha questions

The White House press pool is only interested in one thing and that is assigning culpability to the president, for as they see it, his poor response to the pandemic. The president has the best people working for him on the COVID-19 task force and overall they have handled this crisis satisfactory. Because of their blinding hatred for President Trump, the media will lie and twist the facts to meet their narrative. They refuse to focus the blame on the real culprits, the communist Chinese government and the World Health Organization for their deceptive response to the origin and contagiousness of the virus. Good move Mr. President, long overdue.

Looks like Trump has got tired of the “gotcha” liberal media grandstanding. He is better off saying his piece then simply walking out, leaving the liberal media grandstanders with their mouths open.

Any one think the media will believe they won because he left the room without taking questions? If so, they will continue to hound him even more whenever he is in front of him. These briefings got out of control a long time ago and the media should have been banned for health safety reasons and given a written press release. No one should have to put up with the kind of abuse the media dishes out. There really is no reason to have them in attendance because they write wrote whatever they want regardless of its veracity. They egg each other on in a despicable attempt to pile on when one of their colleagues behaves badly and is shut down. They are not going to change and giving them an opportunity to attack the President relentlessly needs to be revisited.

Mr. President, there is only so much vileness a person can take. We know what you said, and we know what the press and Pelosi said you said.
FYI, I'm sticking with you - maybe not the perfect president but perfect enough for this citizen.

#8- Understand the sentiment about briefing by officials, but respectfully disagree with President Trump leaving the briefing entirely to the officials. What President Trump said was not inaccurate, it was either misunderstood or deliberately distorted to undermine and destroy him. His comments were based on a briefing he had, as well as the engagement of his brilliant mind wondering if some means of light and/or “disinfectant” could be considered and developed to destroy COVID-19. The “light” was ultraviolet light, and the “disinfectant” comparable to chemicals used in chemotherapy treatments.

Anything that irritates the fake media is OK with me. I think the Democrat media falsely stating Trump told people to drink Lysol woke Trump up! You can’t fix stupid. He’s been too patient with these losers.

If CNN won’t go to the back of the room the entire class will be punished. The Enemedia are so poorly educated. In high school we stood up when the teacher entered the room. What is it with asking questions reclined without standing up to address the most powerful man in the World? Donald Trump is God´s gift to America and I will crawl over broken glass to vote November 3rd.

He needs to talk less because he keeps saying things that those who hate him spin into stupid inanities. Now, with the media attacking his disinfectant comments, the deployment and recall of military in the Persian Gulf and now all these reports that the whole world is working together on a cure and vaccine, EXCEPT us because Trump doesn't want any part of the WHO and their efforts is creating a deep rift in our household--not just along party lines. My partner is listening to TV all day long and now he is starting to believe the spin. He used to support the President a lot more than I did. I know most of what is in the MSM is disinformation. But now he's falling for it. Ugh..we need a break from all of it. I'm GLAD he took no questions.
