President Donald Trump shutdown CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins during the White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing on Monday after she repeatedly interrupted the president after he called on another reporter.“You said when someone is president of the United States, their authority is total,” Collins said. “That is not true. Who told you that?” “You know what we’re going to do? We are going to write up papers on this,” Trump responded. “It’s not going to be necessary because the governors need us one way or the other because ultimately it comes with the federal government.”

I'm all for no more press. FDR Fireside Chat style updates, no press. Noone gets anything out of a single "question" these media buffoons ask. They are just a hostile and destructive enemy at this point. Kick them out!

This reporter was saying Trump's slide show was a campaign document and suggesting it was inappropriate but how crazy is that? It was an answer to the question reporters are asking. If the question was OK how could an answer to the same question be illegal? It was matter of fact and if it was dramatic that is the context of the reporters' questions that made it so.

I saw this live. I cannot believe how reporters repeatedly interrupt POTUS while he is answering questions. I am 65, but I never thought I would see POTUS - no matter which party - be shown such disrespect. President Trump has far more patience than I do... I would have given her a verbal smackdown.

The confusion and in-fighting is because the press is both stupid and lazy. They don't understand that under the National Emergencies Act declaration that the President issued he has virtually unlimited power and the Constitutional "federalism" powers are superseded. FDR had 44,000 Japanese Americans interred under his war time emergency powers and Lincoln had habeas corpus suspended. Truman seized private property during the Korean War and this was eventually ruled unconstitutional after the fact but it was years after he left office. The current act enumerates about 136 specific powers and the act is only valid for one year after which the President must re-enact it in writing. Congress can jointly vote to invalidate the act with a majority vote of both Houses.
Once again, Trump was right.

The liberal media will probably run to Adam Schiff to have President Trump and his aides investigated for violating the Hatch Act for showing those video clips during the corona virus task force briefing today.

Love it! He needs to do this way more often to all the smug, smarty pants so called journalists. I've noticed her at other briefings and her behavior is always very rude.

What was hilarious was watching 2nd rate journalists who probably never read the constitution challenge the president about his authority to reopen the country. Unbelievable.

She's a 28-year old snot who started out as an entertainment reporter and has been an obnoxious PITA on the White House beat since 2017. She's right up there with Acosta in rudeness.

in a quarter century of teaching, with thousands of students over that time, I never had a student speak so rudely to me as that bimbo spoke to the President! not one, not once!
She should have been ejected.

How fun would it have been to see President Trump calmly walk off the stage, grab her by the hair, drag her down the hall into the restroom and administer a world class swirly?

Lawd love a duck. It's like she doesn't realize she is talking to the President of the United States. We are drowning in ignorance.

Why is CNN even represented at these briefings? Why give that communist media any air time at all?

These reporters are the dregs. The scum. Full of self-importance and craving attention. Their questions accomplish one thing only: revealing them for the jackasses they are.
