Setting aside the angry, in-your-face delivery, President Trump’s State of the Union speech was tremendously well crafted. Trump made the best possible case for his administration, highlighting the salutary effects of conservative policies. Powered by unsustainable debt and loose monetary policy, but also by smarter tax policies and deregulation, the U.S. economy does indeed boast the best topline numbers in U.S. history. Unshackled by a number of executive orders, health-care costs really are rising far more slowly than they have in many years -- even falling in some areas.

I'm usually bored to tears with those SOTU things when a Republican does them, and infuriated when it is a Democrat pResident.... But President Trump did a good job, overall. Made plenty of leftists 'heads explode'.
But....Did you all catch the woman from Michigan's rebuttal to the SOTU? Logic is a stranger to her.... She opens with a story about how a kid, fed up with potholes on his street, got a shovel and dirt and filled them up... Then she takes credit for her Democrat government filling up the potholes... then blames the Republicans in D.C. for preventing Michigan from fixing its infrastructure.
But then if Logic was a strong point with such people... They wouldn't be Democrats in the first place.

Best president ever. My ears bleed and I want to hurt myself if I try to listen to a dem so I walked the dog and tucked my kids into bed. Much better.

#4, and from the very beginning... "Setting aside the angry, in-your-face delivery..." Really? YOU try it Quin: standing in front of an audience, half of which despises you and has not hid it, using the impeachment process to bring about your political death, standing in front of people who have hurled every invective, and lie and epithet against you. What did you expect, Quin? a jolly, happy-go-lucky delivery? did you want a few jokes? the guests in the Gallery should have signaled a serious tone.
I love how President had American Exceptionalism as bookends. What was clear to me once again, is his love for America and the American people. THIS will win him re-election.

Just like every election is the most important in our lifetime, every sotu speech is the best one ever given. It was mildly entertaining with the mentally ill 5 year old hag in the background playing, but otherwise it was pretty typical. As for rousing, I seem to remember Reagan's being a bit more so.

I didn't see "angry" or "in your face". There was no sarcasm or taunting. What I saw was a clear and decisive exposition of the president's policies and view for the future.
And I LOVED it when he presented the Medal of Freedom to Rush. Plainly, El Rushbo was not expecting it. I so much hope he comes back on the air on Thursday to talk about it.

Best SOTU Speech in years! Bringing the father warfighter home to see his family...precious! The little girl? I’d bet Trump wrote a check for her educational choice himself! Rush getting the metal pinned on by Melania at the SOTU was awesome! Nobody normally sees these awards given and Trump made sure fake media had to watch it! The 100 year old promoted today by Trump to Brig. General was awesome! The absolute hatred and rage of the Democratic Party was an insult to every American! Shame on you sourpuss fuddyduddy losers! Trump wins easily in November!

Best speech ever . I wish all his speeches were like this...positive. Not mentioning the media or the dems made it outstanding. Trump should ignore the dems & media & Continually present all his accomplishments .

Oh please. What an awful thing to say. The author is at liberty to say what he thinks and feels, but basic decency should compel him to show some restraint. These words are highly inflammatory and reckless but it is a part of the destructive force aimed at the President simply because he is succeeding where lifelong politicians have been exposed to be lying slothful cheats with self-serving egos enriching themselves at the expense of the American taxpayer. They are so vile that they actually had a slush fund to pay off individuals that they had sexually abused. The American people also know who has real distasteful personalities. The author should turn his jaundiced eye no further than Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, or Eric Swalwell who passed gas during a live interview if he wants to see a distasteful personality. Corrupt, the author says? Right. After over three years under a democrat investigation and the President comes up clean. And then to throw in “dangerous” is just beyond belief. The President is doing his best to stop the flow of drugs, criminals and enemies who are attempting to pour over our border. He is removing our military from these endless wars. He has the backs of law enforcement. The only danger he presents is to the rabid progressives who want to destroy this country and he is standing in the breach to stop them. The word I would use to describe the author is reckless. Only a fool throws out verbal bombs like this author and them he has the temerity to say the President has a distasteful personality?
