UPDATE: Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-MI) has withdrawn her suggestion of “censure” instead of impeaching President Donald Trump — a trial balloon for an exit strategy in response to dismal polling for Rep. Adam Schiff’s impeachment hearings.

Danielle Stella, a Republican seeking to unseat Rep. Ilhan Omar, Minnesota Democrat, was suspended from Twitter after her account posted Tuesday about lynching the congresswoman.
Ms. Stella’s campaign account on Twitter, @2020MNCongress, was punted from the platform after posting at least twice about hanging Ms. Omar, a progressive freshman frequently the target of right-wing attacks.
Each tweet involved an accusation recently amplified by Ms. Omar’s opponents that alleges she shared sensitive information with the Iranian government — a claim the congresswoman has since rejected as “outlandishly absurd.”

The new website, thedonald.win, was created by users of the r/The_Donald subreddit after Reddit became more controlling about what content could be posted in the forum. In June, the company announced that the subreddit would be “quarantined.”
The quarantine, which is still in effect, doesn’t ban the forum but removes certain features and restricts how its content is shared. It also includes a warning about viewing the subreddit.

Where are the Democrats going next?
Prior to this past week, for days Adam Schiff had concocted a pretty effective fix. He conducted secret impeachment inquiries in the House basement. Schiff kept quiet about his rigged rules. He orchestrated selective media leaks from the opening statements of favorable witnesses and then more or less threatened with ethical violations any Republican member who copied his tactics and leaked their own often effective cross-examinations.
The result was that the public heard only from Schiff about Schiff’s damning slam-dunk hearings. A drip-by-drip melting of both Trump’s polls and resistance to impeachment followed.
Impeachment is a political process. No sentient being, after all, believes that Adam Schiff or Nancy Pelosi are good-faith guardians of constitutional order. And judging the process strictly on political grounds, it hasn’t been a success for Democrats.
For one thing, impeachment, if it happens, will effectively end up being a partisan censure of the president. Democrats haven’t gotten any closer to convincing a single Senate Republican to contemplate removing the president. Certainly not Mitch McConnell, who says there will be a quick trial. Not even Mitt Romney, who, at this point, is aptly troubled but uncommitted.

In the next phase of the impeachment proceedings currently underway against President Donald Trump, the task of the House of Representatives will be to determine what offenses are impeachable and whether the facts, as found by the House Intelligence Committee, constitute such impeachable actions.

Big media balks at the term "fake news," insisting that they honestly and accurately report the news of the day. Those paying attention to the news can cite numerous examples of fake news, either deliberate misinformation or laziness on the part of reporters.

A Florida homeowner fought back against an alleged home invader on Saturday and ended up injuring the intruder’s face during the melee, police said.
The man, identified as Barry Sands, was asleep in his Miami home just after 10 p.m. Saturday when a woman screaming awoke him and asked him for help.
Once Sands opened the front door, he was allegedly attacked by the suspect identified as Mark Katsnelson, 35.
Katsnelson forced himself into Sands’ home while he was using his hands to punch Sands. Sands, in return, punched, Katsnelson several times in the face in self-defense, police said. He then called 911.

A fiery explosion at a chemical plant rocked a rural Texas county early Wednesday morning, blowing out windows and rattling houses for miles, officials said.
An explosion at the TPC plant in Port Neches, located in Jefferson County, near the Louisiana border, lit up the sky around 1 a.m. local time, according to The Orange Leader. Eyewitnesses reported there was a second blast shortly after. The town is located east of Houston and inland from the Gulf of Mexico.
The Port Neches Police Department told Fox News they could not confirm any death or injuries at this time. First responders were at the scene.
